Trials is officially not playable as a solo anymore.
By Bungie gatekeeping their streamers to be able to run through solos and casuals, it seems like all of them left already.
Without the flawless pool, myself, a top 9 % elo player sitting in diamond with a 1,53 kd (2,08 kda) for trials ALL SOLO STATS, so i am not bad by any means, i lost 18 games and won 6 so far this weekend and my kd dropped to 1.06.
Your matchmaking is hot garbage. You match me with 1310 players and people who have a .38 kda and also often a missing teammate against absolute sweat stacks the whole time. Bungie, think for a second. The vast majority of players are casuals and average players revive the playlist. By gatekeeping your streamers and sweat stacks by listening to their "feedback" that the flawless pool is bad, you scare off the vast majority from trials again. LET THEM WORK FOR THEIR STUPID CARRY OFFERS.
And no, activating it on sunday reset, when the weekend is already over for the eastern area of the planet, is not the way.
How can a company not learn from their mistakes at all. You revive the playlist, people have fun for 3 weeks. Obvioulsy casuals will leave slowly after getting their loot. And yet you scare off the remaining casuals by putting them against stacks who went flawless 200+ times constantly. DO SOMETHING or the playlist is dead in 4 weeks, only having sweats in it again. NOT FUN.
EDIT: I attached a picture of one of my teammates i got today. We faced a 3 stack with 200+ flawlesses.

Yeah, won the first game - lost since. I'm average at best but the team mates I've been given were awful. (Just to let you know i happy to play with anyone). Every team has been a 3 stack. Solo is pointless and only aims to give people who can go flawless an easier ride. I dont expect to the light house, but I don't think 3 win is much to ask

Last night was definitely brutal. My experience was similar and I think I finished with a 1.01 K/D after about 40 matches. Last Trials I had the exact same win rate playing solo on friday that you did this week. That's just what it is. Friday is not just for teams, its for good teams. Couldn't even make it past the 5th card win with a team yesterday. I'm not sure whether I care all that much though. They are probably going to have to provide that kind of experience for certain kinds of players some day out of the week. I think with a lot of people its just the fact that they wait for Trials to start and want to be able to take part in it when it starts when its just not really possible the first day if you are solo, or sometimes even if you are average and on a team. I will say that the game doesn't even begin to try to put teams together that could stand a chance in most matches. Don't know if it has to be quite that bad but its the first day so if you are decent and playing solo (which I don't really consider myself to be all that good, especially on that map) you're probably going to pull even better teams than some people will. Its not that big of a deal. The skill differences have to show somewhere. They show on Friday. I did switch to Control and it was surprisingly the least broken its been all season so there's that.

You're right. It's tough enough with a team, let alone as a solo. So far this week, I've given it a handful of runs as a solo and you match nothing but full teams. Many are two clan mates carrying a friend.

As a solo player who does not like PvP, I 100% agree. I’d love to play Trials for the loot. But facing non-stop sweaty three stacks while being given crappy teammates is just too frustrating. The loot was good and I had a good time on the first week. But the matchmaking has been atrocious since then. Also, where’s the scout, shotgun, fusion, and rocket launcher. Some other loot to chase would be nice. They’re pushing us casuals away and that’s not good for Trials.

Trials needs to be split one for solos and another for teams but over all you all will still complain about it.

Idk why you guys solo with the expectation of going flawless. It's Saturday. Everyone is off and it's a bright new day. And Metroid came out. The people who are playing atm love trials. And they have friends.

I dont think freelance trials would make any difference with the current matchmaking either. Because as long as that 50% win/lose demon is there, it will never be a fair fight. Trials will always pull in the best pvp players like a thick on a dog. If you just want some participationloot, solo is fine. If you want to go flawless, never go in without 2 of the best pvp players on your friendslist or other means. But yeah, trials can be really frustrating as a solo. The number of afk, leaving, or unprepared players without any form of build on their toons are still way too high.

To get entered into the “raffle” you just need to subscribe to their channel. This is the payment part. If they make money from subscriptions and charge you a subscription for a carry. How in the hell is this not a paid carry? The really funny part is that we can watch streamers do this without repercussions all day.

Trials is a trial and as such there should be a Freelance option to test your adaptability. Getting used to other players and supporting the community as a whole. There is no "solo entitlement" as the entire game always demands team play but that should not require clan or friends. Trials is worse now with crossplay because because you have to come on here to report users that are obviously being rude or disrespectful. Playing as a 3 clan member team against solo players does not award you the right to bag or send nasty gloating messages. Same goes for PC users cheating, more so against the console players who have no defence. Are you that small or incapable or insecure that cheating is the only way you win a match? Come on, play fair and accept you don't always win.

I understand wanting some success etc., and I even believe that you should get extra loot along the way for solo play. HOWEVER, this mentality that you deserve special attention because you are trying to play a TEAM game as a SOLO is utterly insane. It's hard this week with a well coordinated team. Get over the VICTIM MENTALITY. If you play solo, don't expect much. It's meant for you to dip your toes, not be a fn reclusive incel expecting adept loot while you no mic your way to end game loot. Like come TF on. At this point solos are asking too much. Get on LFG and try to form a group. It can work. Quit being a fn ne'er-do-well and get out there and squad up.

I had hopes as my day started with 2 wins! Now however after 8 straight pub stomping matches….. 3rd win is a straight frustrating struggle. First 2 matches were all solo players.. the last 8 have been mostly 3 fireteam on other side against 3 solo. Occasionally 2 team on both sides. It’s straight up ridiculous

I agree. Played trials and before match even started my teammate abandoned game because we had full fireteam against us. It is nice to get loose at that expensive pass because of that. Those games should be abandoned at the start and not give free win/lose to anybody who participated. And still biggest problem in this games pvp hasn't solved: Don't set full solo team against full fireteam. Both teams should be made from equal sized fireteams like duo and solo against duo and solo, or 3 solos against 3 solos. I wanted to play trials this weekend but this kind of -blam!- makes me sick and angry and definetly make me play something else

5 RepliesTrials was fun the first cple of weeks cos we were going through the early reward tiers with Saint, getting engrams and feeling rewarded. Once you get past those early levels the rewards drop off massively and you realise you're just being farmed and don't feel like you're getting anywhere. But the streamers are happy cos they can make money doing carries. So that's OK then.

16 RepliesEdited by Klaus_Reaper (Adept): 10/9/2021 9:22:02 AMDon't know if it means anything, i already left the playlist, im sure lots of people already did as well, i play crucible basically everyday after work, my game is improving, I'm rotating, don't engage alone anymore, finally embraced Chaperone & Ignition hammer (the crucible is too sweaty to *Test things*) but trials is another beast, since play solo i learned my lesson 3 weeks ago when i tried to play at Friday, lost almost 25 matches in a row, never again, i already got what i was searching for, a messenger with desperado and a reed with Triple tap/Vorpal, the rest doesnt appeal to me at all, and by no means i consider myself a casual, I'm just not stupid as a solo player, to become a cannon fodder the whole weekend for streamers and sweats, for some sh!tty trials engrams, they can have that.

2 RepliesThe fact that matchmaking even exists is catering to solo players. Asking for matches to be artificially balanced in your favor is just screwing one part of the fanbase in favor of another. Bungie already did a great job getting players back in the playlist. At this point, if you’re still complaining you should honestly find another game.

I know the feeling, if you can’t depend on your team, well you will just fall, but I did have a interesting encounter, I was in with two randoms and a three stack, we lost first game, guy left, then my other team mate left, leaving me, just me vs a fireteam…. I left of course not wanting to be a human punching bag, I got suspended from it.

Tbh sometimes it feels like game is matching stacked teams and solos on purpose.

This week, i cant even get past 3 wins. The mode is unplayable now, im an at best average to above average player and i can see the fix is in. I wont be playing anymore

Agreed don't know what's happened to the match making but I've lost all my matches, I'm maybe an average player but I do usual do okay and at least get a win in my first few matches, also don't seem to have been put in the easy pool that you're meant to go in if your losing loads, it's just awful, easily the worst time I've had with trials. Please put it back to how it was on week 1 of match made trials!
