Im TIRED of this loot drop system, something needs to be done
i got 6 pinnacles on my hunter today. 4 of them were helmets....................................................................................................................... sigh.
bungie fix your loot drops. this is a -blam!- waste of my time, it really makes you think when you see that fourth same pinnacle in slot. WHY DO I PLAY THIS.
at least put a safe gaurd in your drop system, 2 duplicates maximum.

RNG is one thing but it truly feels like there’s issues regarding duplicates. My luck today: Decrypted a umbral engram for a worldly weapon, got an Eternal Blazon Decrypted just an umbral engram, got another Eternal Blazon Went to tower to decrypt a prime engram, if you guessed an Eternal Blazon you’d be right! I already had 2 in my vault prior to these. Not too long ago I got 4 Truthtellers in a similar fashion. Very annoying, but perhaps working as intended?

Edited by IaMadia: 10/5/2021 7:38:08 AMwhat would you say then if I told you that my highest piece of gear this week was my gauntlet (1326) and all 4 pinnacle drops I got afterward were all gauntlets level 1325-1326 each. would you tell me that I got bad RNG? in my opinion this is just BS and has nothing to do with RNG. I truly believe bungie are doing this on purpose. and in all honesty, I'm literally feeling the need to punch some bungie employees on the face right now.

22 RepliesSadly this fake RNG is by design. This is only a mechanic to keep you grinding more. It is in every aspect of the game involving loot too. Bungie won't fix it unless enough people call them on it. Most people don't care enough to bother. Those of us that want this game to be the best it can be come here to point out the issues.

i think it's frustrating, but all part of the fun - i was lucky this week and got all my 3 guys to light level 330, ie this season light cap. Warlock was a bit of a struggle, but managed to get the missing piece on Empire Hunt, I tend to upgrade the exotics if I get a duplicate piece. I remember in D1 I and the vast majority of people were light level 34 and I was doing a raid and this guy was light level 35, I'm not sure I ever got to 35 but I had fun trying to figure out how to. It's just Destiny !!!!1

4 RepliesI get that people get frustrated but I don’t understand why you would play a looter shooter then complain that you don’t get exactly what you need. I missed two weeks at the start of the season and without going out of my way to level am getting 1330 gear and will easily be max by next week. So what if the game doesn’t give you perfect drops to level with the minimum amount of drops.

1 ReplyTrials was a nice improvement, I wish every mode had something similar. Like Ive deleted over 50 sorrows verse now and barely come close to getting a roll I want.

1 ReplyAgreed.. this level up system has been flawed since D1.. you should be leveling up based on experience earned and not luck due to drop rng.. I have played diablo 2 LOD on PC since literally 2001 and the first 1.07 patch .. That game did it right.. you had to grind and grind and grind to hit 91 just to max synergies for your build.. That ment either baal run ( diablos kinda boss fight) for weeks and months.. and still not be a 99.. thousands of items in the loot pool.. You weren't crying at bad rng..because you got items to trade and earn better gear, to make you stronger to allow you to farm harder bosses for better loot % drops.. This garbage in destiny has always been a joke.. and after waiting years for halo 6... ( since d1 ) I have been saying, soon as halo 6 drops. I'm back.. Been a long wait.. its almost over.

1 ReplyAs a Monster Hunter player the trick is erasing what you want out of your mind to tell the Desire Sensor to take a hike and focus your thoughts on a different drop Be thankful this isn't The Legend of Dragoon on PS1 and you're trying to farm a Sachet, A item used to One-Shot special enemies that has a 2% drop rate from a specific monster in Disc 2

Why is nobody talking about the bullshit drop rates for nightfall weapons either. 1320 NF says exotics and NF guns are "common" yet I continue to get nothing but blues and prisms that I don't need. Prisms are labled as "uncommon". Tell me why those are more common than the common -blam!-?

It's intentionally done to extend grind. Have you heard of food extenders? It's common practice in commercial products. A good example is packaged burger patties. They are not 100% beef, some are mixed with soy. A plant protein alternative that pads content and it's cheaper than beef. Same with this. It's all by design. Keep you grinding endlessly. I call it empty content. Grinding empty content. You asked why do you play this? That's your problem right there. It's a dead game. Empty dead game.

I agree. Bungie says everything is random, but the reality is, it isn't. Something is broke in their code somewhere, but Bungie would rather hear us complain about it than fix it. I did Presage and Harbinger solo to get kinetics, then transfer them to the characters that needed them. Another issue I have is it takes two kills in crucible to equal one kill to count for a catalyst.

I'm tired of the worthless -blam!- blues always filling up my postmaster! I lost Ascendant Shards that I couldn't use yet because my postmaster filled up. Stop the blues after you hit the soft cap. Geez.

1 ReplyTheir rng is busted by design… If possible open your pinnacles and iron banner bounties one at a time after reset and you will get different items Open all at once and you are guaranteed duplicates

3 RepliesSimple fix Prime always be +1 hardcore players should get plenty, all other sources at least +2. I only once tried to get pinnacle cap just for sh*t and giggles, that was 1 frustrating experience. In so many ways this game needs bad luck protection, why would you burn out your most hardcore players with gambling.

I only needed one primary pinnacle last week. Did every activity pinnacle except lighthouse which wasn't primary anyway. Guess what? I'm still looking for this primary.... can't be bothered anymore.

My reason for asking is I think there’s an rng algorithm that gives people who play less better drops (to try and get them to play more), and people who play more get worse drops (because they need no enticing). I play like 10 hours a week about half the year, sometimes more sometimes less. You can say I’m casual I guess, I’ve never ran a full VOG in D2 but I ran Atheon this passed Sunday and the Vex dropped for me 🤷🏻♂️. I don’t think it’s dumb luck.
