Bottom tree Nova is a relic of a two primary Y1 version of this game. Unfortunately, it's not relevant at all in today's meta with the possible exception of devour during heavy add clear activities (raids, thrallway, etc). Apparently it's all getting reworked in Witch Queen, so that's good, but knowing Bungo they'll give warlocks something awesome and then nerf it 12 times over the span of two seasons, so I'm not really excited for it. Also, fun fact, if you use bottom tree Nova bomb, enemies will go around it, not run into it. Try in a thrallway, it's hilarious.

What are you trying to use bottom tree for when you have your super ready? no I’m not against a buff I’m all for it but i see many people throwing bottom tree at a boss and then complaining because it does to little damage, bottom tree is meant for add clear while top is used for high ad clear/damage Also note i would rather use bottom than top tree in pvp because it cant be shot and destroyed unlike top tree Bottom tree idea Have vortex pull enemy’s in while there in its radius and maybe lance but with a vortex upon explosion Top tree idea This ones weird because top tree isn’t that bad but make it in pve nova bomb cant be shot by npc in pvp increase it’s threshold before it can be shot and destroyed (Normally i would say make it that it cant be destroyed in both but then i would get a bunch of angry kids msg me so no) Thats my ideas on it, hopefully we get some good things with the void rework coming in witch queen -also reply to me and you will be ignored unless your answering the question at the start of my reply. Nova bomb shouldnt cast faster but definitely be larger. Also, you gonna talk about fist of havocs radius when nova warps has a higher vertical ceiling AND can be used mid air? It's not even a fair comparison to make. It has a larger radius NOW because it HAS TO hit the ground to be used, which makes you a sitting duck if you miss. It also consumes substantially more energy too.

Void 3.0 is coming in Witch Queen. I can only hope that Bungie realizes what a sorry state Nova Bombs are in and gives them something extra.

I'm sorry, but I just cannot agree with this, the sheer amount of anger, pain, torture, and dread I've experienced with my new light friends in mayhem customs is impeccably bad, it is one of the easiest free kill supers excluding Chaos Reach, TCrash, Squall, and maybe Shadebinder, but it moves so fast for a "Slow" Nova bomb, and it turns corners so aggressively, with most mobility being hard locked to hunters, its already more cancer enough. Oh and don't forget its mini bombs that literally 1 tap ANYONE. Also, it's a bomb, I think it should have the potential danger to you as well if you're doing it point-blank. (unless it's my dumb -blam!- and the bottom tree is the fast bomb, haven't touched the void tree as a warlock main in ages).

Meanwhile tether sucks.

D1 had the "Lance" tree which had you cast a very fast and narrow nova bomb. Wish they'd bring that back.

SnS has a slight bigger BR than Bottom tree Nova Bomb (or possibly the same blast radius). I wouldn’t be opposed to a buff to Nova Bomb though, especially bottom tree. Perhaps give it lance intrinsically
