BE has a long history with false positives and privacy invasion. Its a tool that operates with system-level access (higher than an administrative user-account) to monitor your whole pc. Iam personally very concerned and i dont like it. Iam not a 14 year old that just plays just some games on his pc. most people probably dont even know how bad BE is, even just in performance.
There is always the persuasion "yes it works" or "it will be fine" but there are always people that will be false-targeted. There is no customer support or contacts, their twitteraccount was ranting about cheat-devs in mid 2020, silence since then. Their website is a long list of know bugs where most of them just say: if your machine doesnt fit our compliance then you wont be able to play.
I hope i dont have to explain the ethics of making a seethrough-citizen(player) and then ripping out the black sheeps.
Yes Anticheat (ive never touched Trails because of cheaters) but not at that cost.
tl;dr BattlEye is not a solution but a hand-manicured abomination.
PS: They even suggest to uninstall the control-center for MSI motherboard owners. So gone is the CPU-Fan software regulation. Thats not a fix, but just a "nonono dont do that" if you ask any IT-Technician. You cannot make up how bad this piece of software is.

Edited by xaneo: 9/4/2021 10:50:39 PMI decided to uninstall Destiny 2 because of this enforcement. First of all, it causes performance issues - I didn't pay for my equipment to have it hindered by spy software; they actually warn you of it. Second of all, just like the OP, gaming isn't the only thing I do on my computer and don't want anyone scanning my files, even if they "assure" of no evil intentions, LOL. Another thing is that it's probably worth for people to write Bungie and request a refund because the update stops them from playing without significant damage to their privacy. They're effectively taking the game away and you paid for it. If they want to detect cheaters (which I am all for the practice) they should do it on their own servers, not our machines. It's like installing a ticket printer in your car to police you on every driving regulation.

Too bad. Your cheating days r over in destiny lol. Go play warzone lol

3 RepliesThis is why I play Xbox, I have no idea what he just said lol 😂

8 RepliesLooks like we found a cheater 👁️👄👁️

1 ReplyUr salty that you cant cheat anymore lol
-
1 ReplyLol, they did you a favor. Msi dragon center/msi center is absolute trash of a software. Also, BE only runs when you run the game, what's the issue here ? Its waaaay better than gameguard for example. Just stop cheating.
-
1 ReplyYou must own a cheat manufacturing company, which is repulsive. Go work toward being in a more estimable profession.
-
All anti-cheats are garbage. Bungie went with Battle Eye just to make it appear as if they're trying to deal with the cheating. Funny enough it backfired and now cheating is worse.
-
At least we are getting one.

6 RepliesCheaters getting his feathers ruffed. Don't worry Susan if you don't cheat you'll be fine. 😂😂😂😂

you arent redpilled and better than everyone for reading into it you are just irrationally paranoid

Your first mistake was buying any msi products

I'm starting to love this BE stuff it's sniping people and it's funny.

14 Replies“The lady doth protest too much, methinks.” I’m sure you’re trying to destroy credibility of a helpful tool because that’s what’s best for everyone. Also, play console and it’s no problem. IF you’re worried about privacy that much.

3 RepliesEdited by BraddyBo: 8/31/2021 1:11:36 PMWell its either strong 3rd party anticheat or drop the pc port altogether, i would have done the latter. If the pc community didnt have so many cheaters then drastic measures wouldnt need to be taken to protect the legit players.

ha how u get downvoted by pointing out obvious thing :D Somewhat this reminds of americans and their election of that old maniac who broke deal with taliban and now everybody acts suprised and pointing out that he intentionaly broken peace agreement is terrible thing :D

Its better than nothing 😄
