Maybe Bastion's charge time be changed to 1,755 to match it's damage output

Title is satire but it's a great way to help understand just how much damage it does. The gun is clearly problematic, you could cut off a half of it's damage and it would still deal more than average. I dunno what the best solution is, but right now it's a problem when anybody in any PvP match uses it. It doesn't have any real downside compared to other fusions, about the same or better range, insanely more consistent, much easier to use, over double damage If you're curious about the numbers 780 Normal fusion = 40dmg X 7 bolts = 280dmg 780 Bastion = 30dmg X 7 bolts X 3 bursts = 630dmg Damage ratio is 1:2.25

      I really can’t talk since I use it but it would be a lot harder to kill, if people didn’t walk up to me thinking they could win using a handcannon. [spoiler]the amount of people that just walk up to me and practically hand me the kill is insane[/spoiler]

          Here's the problems with this argument. 1. Bastion is a non-traditional exotic, the functionality really isn't comparable, especially considering it's meant to be a shotgun/fusion hybrid not unlike Lord of Wolves. 2. Bastion poses most of it's effectiveness around 15 meters, other Precision Frames lose their effectiveness around the low to mid 20s. So other comparable Fusions have a HUGE range advantage over Bastion. 3. A Slug Headshot also serves as effectively a hard counter, since they share similar engagement distances, but slugs don't need to wind-up for 0.78 seconds (Chaperone with Roadborn is actually a flat upgrade to Bastion in most applications, since it also out-ranges where Bastion keeps consistency). Likewise, any primary that kills faster than 0.78 theoretically wins wherever you catch a Bastion uncharged. 4. If it wasn't clear by the past points, Bastion is incredibly slow, not to mention the lack of In-air play beyond MAYBE shenanigans with Heat Rises. The Charge is slow, the handling stat is bad, and even the fire rate within the burst is super far off from what a standard Fusion offers. So you have to play either proactive and defensive, or be super on-point with a pretty well telegraphed pre-charge. Point is it's easy to counter with anything that's fast on the draw, or able to kill before a charge is up. 5. Usage stats don't point to Bastion being super oppressive, likely due to its super super niche role in being able to stop people trying to blindly ape, people trying to set up "bunkers" for lack of a better term, or high risk anti-super plays. The only real reason that usage is more than what others tend to be is because other fusions don't have much of a place between the quicker nature of Shotguns, or the ranged, and overall snappier nature of Snipers. It just so happens that Bastion has a niche beyond that that makes it super useful. 6. No nerf to Bastion would make it """balanced,"""" either it's staying """"""too strong"""""" or it gets completely broken to where it's Graviton Lance levels of meme tier.

          • Practice with GLs or snipers, problem solved. Also while bastion deals high damage it has a larger damage falloff vs other fusions, its kinetic and deals 5% more damage than energy fusions, and finally its exotic. I mean witherhoard deals something like either 400 or 800 damage and a normal gl deals 200 or 280.

            • Bro Sanit-14's Fusion Rifle should always be strong. It's far from the optimal Fusion. Shotgun apes are getting wrecked by a mid tier fusion and it's fn hilarious. The problem is that your crutches were nerfed. Bastion has also had recent nerf. This is literally a GIT GUD situation.

            • It's exotic it should be powerful. The problem is small maps and too much special ammo in crucible.

Bastion is an exotic. Normal fusions are not. This community is so hypocritical about asking Bungo to make exotics feel exotic unless they ruin your shotgun aping in PvP. Bastion should feel exotic. It's an exotic. 2. Meta fusions aren't the same archetype as Bastion so this comparison doesn't work. Erentil and glaciocasm are 860, Plug One is 740. There are zero 780 fusions that are in the meta right now. 3. The extra damage is superfluous anyway, since meta fusions (glaciocasm, plug, erentil) still OHK. If 740s (plug one) still one shot in Crucible, then who cares if a slower 780 ALSO does? OHK is OHK, doesn't matter by how much. 4. Nerfing Bastion again (as it has been nerfed before) would remove what little usefulness it has in PvE, and once again reduce our options. Especially in first encounter DSC where an increased charge time would make it entirely useless. I'm not saying your ideas are bad. I'm saying you came to a bad conclusion using a very cherry picked set of data without taking all the facts into consideration. People use Bastion because we're [b]sick[/b] and [b]tired[/b] of shotgun apes. Nerfing the best counter to Felwinters so the only way to play PvP is by having Felwinters is bad for PvP. Nerfing a legit good load out for a raid is also a bad idea.

Just put they stability way down and it becomes balanced.
