Pali Grind is Getting Ridiculous
I’ve done at least 30 Grandmaster Nightfalls this week. I’ve gotten 15+ palindromes, guess how many have just the perk rangefinder. NONE. That has less than a 7% chance of happening. Nothing can probably be done about this as this is just a result of bad RNG but if I finish this week without a single roll with rangefinder this will have been the most colossal waste of time in all of my destiny career. I’m just posting this to make you guys aware of the fact that at some point the grind for anything should feel worth it and this has just been a bad experience for me. I’ve grown extremely frustrated and I just want my overflow rangefinder roll that I’ve put 10+ hours of grinding in for.

17 Replies30? Holy crap you have a problem bruh, every single one of you that does GM nightfalls around the 10+ has an addiction. Get help, no game is worth grinding this much. Grind at life instead, get payed, get healthy etc.

3 Replies84 last season, 60 something this week. Saw 2 with quickdraw+range finder. 1 comes with stability masterwork, the other with reload masterwork, both have crappy barrels. What a waste of time, my sight and my friend's. Btw, double rewards my bunny's fluffy tail, at times i was given only solstice key fragments. No, we didn't miss champions, how could anybody even miss them when theyre pretty much in the way so you are allowed to move to the next area.

I think I did like 38 gms. Got probably about the same pails as you and got 4 god rolls. Sadly the god roll I really wanted wasn’t adept but man rangefinders a nutty perk. QuickDraw a super over rated

The game uses weighted RNG to increase playtime.

8 RepliesI guess I got lucky, i got 3 quickdraw rangefinder rolls, but zero good swarm or shadow price rolls. It’s most likely because there are 3 guns in the loot pool this week.

2 RepliesMe too , i did 57 night fall in master and only i got 4 palindromes this is the worst experiense playing that i have felt , this is ridiculus because is a time's lost( i did this for 4 days ), i think this game or the business just lie over and over making you think that you can get some things but no, only wants your money, bungie is the worst company that i have seen , this business needs to change

1 ReplyGet off the hamster wheel or forever accept the crap RNG that this game has. It’s no secret. The chances of getting a good roll from a NF exclusive drop, let alone an adept version, are extremely hard to come by. They exist but in my opinion aren’t worth the time investment and disappointment to acquire.

One had fullbore, high caliber rounds, killing wind, rangefinder, range masterwork. that nets 91 range with adept range slotted, not counting rangefinder or killing wind after a kill. insane range. lovin it that said theres ALOT of perks so what are the actual odds of getting rangefinder on 15 drops? well there are six options in that row. thus you should get 2.5 in 15 I.E. call it two palis out of 15 palis should have it. what happens if you have only slightly worse than average odds? YOU GET ZERO OR 1. So calm down. You want great odds you shouldve grinded till you got it. I got my god roll on pali drop number 15 of 15 drops or id have grinded till I got 30 palis not 15. no excuses. btw most of the time you get double adept weapon drops and an exotic and 1 to 3 ascendant shards and tons of ascendant prisms. many times id get TWO Adept Palindromes in same run.

It had hammer forged, high cal, killing wind, rangefinder with a range masterwork. Pretty nice I suppose. Too bad I’m bad with hand cannons in general unfortunately… And no. I didn’t dismantle it. I also have a pve one with hammer forged, flared mag, overflow, one for all, with a stability masterwork that I got after farming, I think, maybe 7 grandmasters during double loot in proving grounds.

I was looking for a good ish swarm (finally got one) but every single one I got up until my last run last night was tap the trigger and then something like dynamic sway reduction

Well, considering that this was a weapon from last season, we should be happy it was dropping at all. Last season I ran proving ground gm 5 times, and received 7 pali’s including pve and pvp god rolls.

I found it hard to get one drop without rangefinder

Yeah right can be -blam!-. My group was blowing by the gm in 15 minutes a pop. We did a lot and everyone got good rolls for each weapon. I will say though that for the three of us, the Pali dropped far less frequently than shadow price or swarm. I never got a quickdraw/rampage or quickdraw/rangefinder which is what I would have preferred, but I got a fair number of killing wind/rangefinder rolls that are good. My favorite is probably a killingwind/thresh roll that is max range in every other slot. I tested this vs a rangefinder Pali that had everything but a range masterwork (reload) and the difference seemed negligible. The zoom from rangefinder is a bit annoying to me even with max fov, and since I didn't get a good quickdraw Pali, I think this might be my go to Pali. But I play close/medium range in pvp so who knows how much I will actually use it. If I want range I'll just use my igneous hammer or bottom dollar with opening shot cause they're better, and at close range my waking vigil is better in every stat besides range, and perks are better on it too. Idk I think Pali is a bit overrated considering 120s are still better at range, and other 140s have better perk pools. It's nice that it's adept though.
