A bunch of legendary shards and lots of wasted time. If smart people worked at Bungie, they would have awarded Vanguard exclusive weapons, instead I got minimum 10 cold denials, tons of useless armour, crap from beginning to end. Next season, more useless upgrade materials? Upgrade modules? Ooooo, I’m impressed. Loot, we want the vanguard loot, not materials we can get anywhere easily. A god roll empty vessel is the hardest thing to get in this game. Smarten up Bungie!

3 RepliesEdited by Spectra: 8/3/2021 11:18:18 PMIn D1, you would farm strikes and other playlists to get a currency called legendary marks, which were used to buy a weapon (of your choice) from vendors at the tower. And while doing said strikes, you would also be granted a chance to get the strike specific loot you wanted by using a skeleton key. And you were also able to farm exotics using Xur’s Three of coins. Not to mention that strikes were much more enjoyable back in the day, when you had fun and powerful modifiers that allowed you to use different loadouts (i.e. brawler, arc burn and peregrine greaves). And they didn’t feel as repetitive since there were variations of the same strike (sometimes you would face taken, other times SIVA, or both).

I've around 5000 left....they can stay in the inventory until Bungo remote them 💁♂️

5 golden ringssssss 4 calling birds 3 french hens 2 turtle doves And partridge in a pear tree!

Using my tokens is how i got that fast frame fusion with vorpal (that weapon shreds long DPS boss phase)

I would have been happy if they just gave you the option to trade them directly for Legendary Shards. Then at least I can go spend them at the Spider for more useful things.

My 10000 tokens got me a sore thumb

I had 7000 tokens, still 2000 to spend.

A blister?

the last time Vendors had anything good was season 6-7, unless you count Rituals, then season 9

3 Replies3000 tokens got me a full Black Armory outfit for my warlock that I never bothered to get because I could only stomach unlocking the Forges once. Worth it.

Smarten up Bungie!
Oh, they are smarter than you think. How many times over the last years or so did you waste your time running to the tower to turn them in? Basically, it's working as intended 👍

1 ReplyWhy are you cashing in all your Vanguard Tokens for mediocre rewards even though they’re such a hassle to turn in? Because the devs are depreciating them at the end of the current season. Why are they getting rid of the Tokens? Because they give mediocre rewards and are such a hassle to turn in. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)
