Across the board:
7-10% recoil reduction.
10-15% better base flinch control.
720s
Reduce precision multiplier from 1.5x to 1.2x
Bodyshot damage: 13.4-->16.75
13.4 x 1.5 = 20.1 / 16.75 x 1.2 = 20.1
Optimal ttk: 8 crit 2 body (194.3) vs 9 crit 1 body (194.3)
600s
Reduce precision multiplier from 1.6x to 1.4x
Bodyshot damage: 14.25-->16.5
14.25 x 1.6 = 22.8 / 16.5 x 1.4 = 23.1
Optimal ttk: 7 crit 2 body (194.7) vs 8 crit and 1 body (196.65).
23.1 x 8 = 184.8 so it can't do a 0.70 ttk.
450s
Reduce precision multiplier from 1.6 to 1.4x
Bodyshot damage: 18-->20.8
18 x 1.6 = 28.8 / 20.8 x 1.4 = 29.12
Optimal ttk: 6 crit 1 body (194.82) vs 7 crit (201.6).
360s
Reduce precision multiplier from 1.6 to 1.4x
Bodyshot damage: 22-->25.2
22 x 1.6 = 35.2 / 25.2 x 1.4 = 35.28
Optimal ttk: 5 crit 1 body (198) vs 5 crit 1 body (201.6)
Notes:
I'm not gonna bother calculating full bodyshot ttk because that doesn't matter in the slightest because that never happens.
This also helps them in pve so they are a little more forgiving for not hitting headshots.
Goal:
Make them more consistent at hitting shots and more forgiving for hitting bodyshots without directly making them more lethal.
Reasons why:
Autos's require consistency above all else to be a lethal weapon type.
With how poorly they handle flinch and with how high some of their recoil is on controller, they can be difficult to accurately and consistently land headshots with, even though they almost 100% need headshots to have their relatively average ttk.
With both an improvement to their control, as well as a less headshot demanding optimal ttk, they should prove more valuable in situations where it matters.
Situations where it matters:
1. In the air.
2. Suppressive fire to slightly reduce advantage of peek fire.
3. A fast as hell shotgun ape.
4. A hunter springing out of your reticle to where bodyshots land and sensitivity or aiming speed can't keep up.
5. Dueling weapons with high flinch.
Or to summarize it...to reduce the problems an auto rifle faces against highly mobile targets or weapons like handcannons.
Sound good, great.
This looks easy to calculate, because it is, but digging through patch notes for numbers is an absolute pain in the ass, which is why I hardly bother making these posts anymore.
Luckily, autos are basically grouped together in the patches so it's easy, but everything else is far more spread out.

15 RepliesLooks good Dubby. I’m still on my soapbox about wanting 450s and 360s to merge into a new 400 rpm archetype.
