Obviously. Otherwise you wouldn’t have gotten it. The computer followed its code and created whatever it was PROGRAMMED to generate

  • Wow, so many months, if not years ago, a Bungie programmer took the time to decide exactly what every drop I’m getting! I’m honoured. Thanks for my Hip Fire Sniper 😂😂

  • If it was random you would get a shot gun with firefly. Or a sidearm with a sniper scope. But again they computer can’t do that. As again it can’t exceed its mandate

  • And here I think we come to the crux of your misunderstanding. You can have a set number of outcomes (ie the total rolled on 2 dice) and still be random.

  • Dice are random how hard your throw them the surface they hit the humidity how many times the dice were thrown each variable changing randomly. Again it’s why the lottery uses balls and isn’t digital

  • Lotteries use balls because the variables aren’t programmed. Scratch tickets aren’t random either the lottery knows where all the winners are because the computer told them. The random is who gets them when they buy them.

It's stage managed.

  • Oh ya? Find one state lottery like a powerball or mega millions type game that uses digital numbers. Even keno isn’t random it’s heavily weighted (programmed) to favor the house.

  • A lottery by nature isn’t random anything that weights the house to win isn’t random. Just because numbers and algorithms get massive and become impossible for most human being to follow doesn’t make them random. As again a computer will never go beyond its mandate

  • Correct it’s called a mechanical number generator which is random. Because there is nothing pre programmed controlling them. However one could argue it can’t generate a number that isn’t represented on a ball. But all the balls being equal and having an equal chance to drop makes the ball that drops random. And a digital display is just the representation of the balls number

  • Cool it’s actually a lousy time to be one. It’s a mess over here. But I certainly won’t open a political debate. But truly I am happy for you that you aren’t. I am literally embarrassed by us at the moment
