So based on War Table banter and voice overs from missions and Battlegrounds, here’s what I’ve picked up:
1. Saladin is squarely in favor of open conflict with the Cabal. He used to distrust Osiris but he’s starting to like him more. Osiris is liking him back, Saint is probably not okay with this.
2. Osiris is also opposed to the Cabal, but mainly out of a complete lack of trust. He used to think Saladin was a mindless Brute but now he’s digging him.
3. Crow shows up from the Reef and taken in by Osiris. Somehow he’s afforded a spot at the War Table, because reasons??
Even though he’s completely new to life outside the Shore he’s most than willing to preach tolerance and understanding to everyone he just met. He’s shaping up to be an extremely lame Hunter Vanguard that will probably urge a peace deal with the Cabal. 🤮
4. Amanda is still very hateful of the Cabal, and who wouldn’t be after the Red War, but she’s also more open minded than Saladin. She also asked out Crow. So she’s digging that dark brooding emo vide even though she doesn’t know who he really is.
5. Zavala had to use his bubble to save people as the Cabal literally torn the old tower down around him. But somehow he’s put that behind him and is willing to have talks with the new Empress. Ok.
But he wants us to eliminate Kargen who is targeting the Vex, because “eliminating him can only strengthen our position”
Prediction:
So Crow and Amanda are going to be in some majorly dysfunctional relationship. Osiris is caught in a love triangle between Saint and Saladin. Zavala negotiates a deal Caiatl, and then tells Ikora they need to get out of the tower and go on a top secret adventure together...

8 RepliesJust because Osiris and Lord Saladin see eye to eye on literally one thing doesn’t mean they’re gonna get involved. Imagine being that guy thinking you’re DTF because you agree on one thing. Lmao. Kids....
-
6 RepliesI think people in this community (and many others as well) are to quick to jump to romance. Holiday asked Crow out sure but I’m pretty sure it was just to be friendly. There isn’t much evidence, at least not yet, to suggest she was inviting him on a date or for romantic reasons.
-
dude what is wrong with you
-
1 ReplyWait did she actually ask out Crow????
-
You must wear a mask When I heard that I'm done with the predictive programming in this storyline Woke Politics have fully invaded all storyline
-
5 RepliesI agree with Saladin. The solar system is for humanity. It's time to close the borders and get these illegal aliens out of here. No more steroid abusing mole people and their gimp slaves. No more gross electric bug people. No more gross ren faire bug people. And while there is a place for friendly robots in the solar system like optimus prime, the vex and their absolute disrespect for the laws of time and space have got to go.

1 Reply1. Doesn’t make sense 2. Doesn’t make sense 3. Makes sense 4. She didn’t ask him out. When he said he had never had a drink in the City, she said they should go together. That isn’t a date. 5. Of course he would want a cease fire. We have enough on our plate, if we can get one enemy to stop being an enemy and fight a mutual foe, then that’s just smart. Your prediction is laughable.

I don't think Osiris and Saladin are gonna go "lovey dovey" and leave Saint behind. Osiris is not like that.
-
9 RepliesOkay a few things wrong here Most of the points you listed are just signs of character development. Osiris and Saladin growing tolerant of eachother and starting to understand eachothers views is GOOD writing And while I agree Crows high tolerance views come off as a little preachy, I think they can work if handled correctly. Also he's not part of the war table he's just a scout like us, he doesn't have any say in discussions making not to mention only Osiris and us know he's Uldren As for the Zavala thing you have to realize Ciatil and Ghaul are two different people. The actions of one leader does not reflect the whims and wishes of their entire species from that point onwards. Ciatil has rejected Ghaul as a fool just like Calus, and attempting to strike am alliance with humanity is the greatest sign of this

1. Character development. I doubt it's romantic though; it's most likely a mutual respect and would be narratively dumb to have a love triangle between those three (what purpose would it even serve?). 2. Again, character development that seems to be built off mutual respect rather than romance. 3. Crow isn't offered a seat at the War Table; he's merely Zavala's bodyguard. His preaching of tolerance seems more out of ignorance/inexperience, as he's a New Light who's only ever known worn-out and tired Eliksni that moved to the Shore to escape war. 4. Amanda never asked him out on a date as far as I know; I thought her implication seemed more out of friendliness than romance, though I wouldn't be entirely surprised if romance is pushed from here on (if she gets past who Crow looks like that is). 5. Most people would call for an armistice and/or alliance if it means one less war to worry about, especially if the enemy is fighting out of desperation. I doubt Zavala enjoys being allies with the same race that nearly wiped out humanity, but if it betters humanity's survival against the Darkness then it's better than more pointless war.

3 RepliesThis whole game has horrible writing. The worst part is it's not like dark souls where it's left ambiguous on purpose and the mystery adds to the narrative, they actually TRY to make this game have an in depth story but none of it makes sense. You have to read lore cards to have any idea what is going on and even then it creates more questions than answers.

16 Repliesamanda better not get with crow she’s getting greedy with the hunters, like girl you and cayde had a thing so get outta here
-
4 RepliesI just wanna make a note that for your no.5 point you're literally choosing to hate an entire species for the actions of 1 very small part of their people, seems a bit silly doesn't it especially when the rest are of almost no threat and would make good allies
-
1 Replyanother day, and another guardian invasion on cabals, and there's always some lame story to make it sounds like we are the righteous
-
The writing isn't the best. The "argument" they had wasn't even a real one. I've seen better arguments over who gets the last French Fry. Zavala didn't even make any decent points. He just kinda stood their. I think we should've let the cabal fight the hive in the cosmodrome. A sign of good faith. We could kill the champion a day later. What's the deal with the land tank on nessus? We've seen bigger things. We're either going to negotiate and stop this cringy back and forward talk or we should just wipe them out. They've caused to much trouble.

Edited by joanespotatos: 3/22/2021 11:48:28 PMI dont think crow is part of the war table. Hes probably just there because of osiris. And hes better being the speaker, so yeah. But the new hunter vanguard would piss some people off, being them either you or me. Edit: also, you took the kargen strike out of its context. Its older content, back in year 2. Its not valid now.

When we asked for more story I didn’t think we’d get mid afternoon soap operas!
-
I'm a bit worried for Amanda's mental health. First it was her working on the exact same sparrow for years, now she wants a bird furry boyfriend?
-
10 RepliesWait, Amanda asked Crow out?! Man, I must have Spotify turned up too loud.
-
3 RepliesBungie needs to look at the Fan Fictions. The fans can write better than the writing crew they hired. I know, I try as often as I can. Props to Shadowheart and the others. I swear we can get a series started that would be good enough for Netflix.
-
Personally I can’t stand the “preach tolerance” stuff. I’m fine with the idea of a peace deal or teaming up with the cabal simply because it would be both practical and cool. But having crow talk about how sad it is to hear people talk bad about fallen and stuff is cringe. Last seasons armor had a thralls head but he won’t whine about that. Plus, the fallen sure as hell wouldn’t hesitate to do the same to humans. As for Zavala I’m willing to say he may be openly considering it because she’s their new leader, besides he’s clearly not so trusting since he said no to working for her.

15 RepliesIt is odd, isn't it? I mean, the possibility of a straight romantic relationship between Crow and Holliday?
-
Edited by Swiftlock: 3/23/2021 7:56:22 PMCut Crow some slack. He's worked alongside Spider and the Fallen. He's a little more empathetic towards the alien races. Chosen isn't the most exciting season (opulence come back plz), but at least we're getting some character development out of all this.

Ah yes, some cabal are bad therefore all cabal are bad
