It’s a competitive game mode and not everyone is meant to be able to go flawless. If entitled people are going to keep ruining the game mode we should simply keep them from getting the chance to.

So toxic smh. Why do all these “pvp” players think that casuals like me can’t access trials? I want to be able to jump off the map constantly so that I can’t get my rewards without doing anything 😁
-
That’s NOT the answer. Killing off a portion of an already dead gamemode is just dumb. There’s a simpler fix. Just stop allowing rejoins. Problem solved. Sux for those who honestly get dc’d but as most things in life a good thing often gets ruined by advantage abusers.

Cheating and recovs are causing the win trading problem. All 3 are the result of a failed game mode.
-
5 RepliesThe most simple way to fix trials matchmaking is to not reset wins once a character has gone flawless. If they want to run again then they need to play all people who have already gone flawless that week.

2 RepliesEdited by Sliceef: 3/14/2021 1:19:49 AMLet's take a game mode with a already very tiny player pool, and take away 1/3 of those players. Yeah, that'll fix trials.
-
6 RepliesA lot of low skill players are willing to try the gamemode, taking the option away from them doesn't make sense.
-
You realize that those people made up a 1/3 of the population? You would literally kill the game mode with your thinking. Cheese is a part of video games. Exploits are a part of video games. Bungie needs to learn to live with cheese and start developing better. Atraks is a perfect example of cheese for cheese sake. Many people cheese just to do it. Raids never got disabled. Sure they got patched but that’s Bungie’s prerogative. Disabling an entire game mode just to spite people isn’t a smart decision.

4 RepliesEdited by --KNIGHT--: 3/13/2021 10:30:52 PMOne way to deter cheaters is by putting Trials behind seasons, that way cheater will have to pay for the season in order to cheat in Trials. As for the carries, a better matchmaking system needs to be put in place to prevent them from dominating in every match. Recovs almost always win because they rarely face other recovs. Limiting the entry requirements by K/d would reduce the playerbase numbers even further, leaving the recovs to be the only ones left.
-
So make the game mode even elitist??? You know how many try hard crybabies will pop up whining that they can no longer play cuz they got locked out cuz their K/D dropped? Or How they have nothing but sweaty matches?
-
6 RepliesThe forums should have a I.Q requirement

Edited by TonnoSenpai: 3/14/2021 8:31:30 AMkd? no , playtime? yeah but only for players without the latest dlc
-
2 RepliesPut trials behind a pay wall, it would fix the cheating problem and likely reduce the win trading as a flow on effect In addition setup automatic banning from repeated wintrading accounts as a deterrent and have better win card based matchmaking... viola trials would be almost completely fixed and could even possibly actually be regarded as a competitive pvp mode finally
-
Yeah because the trials access quest isn't enough.
-
Trials needs to be scrapped at and something new in its place it's the only way you'll never stop cheats and people trying to make money of it
-
3 RepliesEdited by Facelauss: 3/13/2021 11:32:34 PMKill 5 people in first match, never die, finish match with a 5.0 wow Definitely not exploitable Playtime is a decent requirement
-
1 ReplyI’d prefer just to play with people who aren’t free to play
-
2 RepliesYes. Not only will it stop win trading. But also Deter Recovs and cheaters(on PC) And before all the low-tier garbage comes in saying enjoy playing sweats all the way to the lighthouse, let me make it known that I live for it 😈 I'd rather play every game like it's the 7th match for literally the best gear in the game, than not be able to play it at all and get nothing.
-
1 ReplyKd doesn't work for that. New lights are more likely to have a higher potential kd than long time players.
-
Lol elitist.
-
Edited by NeoReaper82: 3/14/2021 1:35:34 AMYou do know by your own logic you wouldn't be able to play then right? Time requirement should also be a factor 3 years or longer.

2 RepliesNot in your lifetime. Some of us plebeians want Trials gear. Making it exclusively for K/D tryhards and swears further pits PvE and casual players against PvP. It comes down to skill. Or bust.

6 RepliesI have a better idea: The Better Idea:

That would be at least, if not more, 1/3 of the current tiny population. Then every person that thought they were good but are not would become the bottom tier players and fall away next. Every single streamer would quit playing as well since there would be no way to grow their viewers or make money. It would pretty much just be cheaters and those high skilled players that get a thrill playing cheaters.
-
Literally can’t see any issue with gatekeeping an already gatekept gamemode that has an emorragious population. 🤷🏻♂️ A kd requirement is pure elitism bs, a paywall would be doing much better, since as trials are now there cannot be made a different “check”. Like make trials be part of seasonal content. Other “checks” would require a much deeper rework of pvp, like having elimination as the glory gamemode and having trials locked behind a 3000 elo in it. I’d like to bring Lucky10p as an exemple: when it all started he was literally crying because all the games he played were too sweaty, thus feeling what the average player usually feels. The problem you see is just the win trade situation, which has been caused by the shitty state of trials on top of the shady business behind it.

26 RepliesEdited by Icy Hot Todoroki: 3/13/2021 9:15:03 PMThat would be too exclusionary, and border on discriminatory. What about people who are new to the game that have a natural knack for PvP? Should they be banned from Trials because they lack an ELO or a positive K/D? How about those who perform best when in teams, rather than solo? Or those who suck at certain game modes, but excel at others? I get your passion, but it's not "entitled" people, it's the Chinese players that have ruined it for the rest of us. Everyone should have a shot at competitive PvP. That's the only way people who are not naturally gifted players can get better
