Bungie I just want you to know first off is that I love destiny. It’s my favorite game. I love you guys and all the hard work you out into your games. Playing since D1. Mained all three subclasses. But my heart and soul revolves around warlock.
Over the course of many years I have nothing but bitter sorrow for how you been treating us warlocks. Anytime we get anything new, fun or exciting we get shot out the sky. You nerfed us too hard. We feel you hate us.
First real example is nova warp. Nobody plays it. I would love to play it. But it’s not viable in pve or pvp. How can it compete against the other subclasses? It can’t. Period. Not to be harsh but you made it completely worthless.
What about our jump? It is the worst jump in the game. It cannot compete with titan skating or the hunter jump. Can you buff burst glide to give it some more kick? I know we have top tree dawnblade but I don’t want to be forced to play a class that it’s only good for pvp and mobility. There’s options and potential out there.
Hunters have gunslinger and spectral blades. Their broken stasis shatterdive with no cool down. Everything about the hunter with stasis is broken beyond belief.
Titans have their tank stasis super that lasts forever. A slide that goes the length of a football field. Then you gave them an exotic that can one shot bosses with the middle tree arc class.
The list can keep going but I digress.
You nerfed the warlock stasis super within the first week of beyond light. The one thing we had to look forward to. Now it cannot compete with any of the stasis subclasses. It’s hard to aim. It doesn’t feel like the space magic you said we would receive. You give hunters and titans all the good stuff and we are left with scraps.
You ignore the warlocks. Whatever we say you don’t have anything for us. No kind of response. Do you care about us being a part of your community? Cause right now we always feel like we’re the kid that gets picked last in gym class. We need some love. We need it bungie. Please help us. Throw us a bone. I’m sorry for the rant. But I’m not the only one who thinks this. Again I love you guys. But warlocks need some TLC. Please.

40 RepliesMan I have 6000 hours on my warlock alone and I can tell you for a fact warlocks are not remotely bad. You say their jump is bad although it allows for the fastest movement outside of worldline. Top tree dawnblade allows for insane neutral game with a decent super, it’s also good in pve with its potential with sunbracers. Chaos reach can have the fastest super in the game along with the ability to save energy. Storm is insane in 6v6 modes and is a potent ad clear class. Top nova has S tier synergy with contraverse hold allowing it to assist in solo master or even grandmaster attempts. I can kind of agree with nova warps super being too easy to shut down but it’s neutral game is really good too. Too many people in this community are so deep in denial it’s crazy. There is no underpowered or bad class. They all have strengths and weaknesses like hunter having such great mobility options and neutral game on almost all classes and Titan being all around good with the exception of top slam and the fact that behemoth is INCREDIBLY overpowered to the point of their super being unavoidable and unkillable in almost all pvp scenarios. If you seriously believe your class is “bad” or “bungie hates it” you seriously need a reality check. That goes for Titans and hunter mains too.

4 RepliesEdited by Maybe30Ducks: 2/15/2021 3:07:31 PMHello friend, I can only share my two cents as a fellow warlock. I can only speak to PVP really because in PVE, I only run well cause....well is well haha. Now for PVP. I play a CRAP ton of PvP and it’s honestly what has kept me playing Destiny. With that being said, last season I tried stasis. It was okay but with our super being slow moving and hunters/titans sipping around. I felt like I was wasting my time. Now with Dawnblade, I loved that we could dodge out of duskfield but other than that, I would just get pelted down. This leads me to Nova Warp. People who say it’s trash or whatever has me scratching my head tbh. This class has the best close range stoppage out of all warlock classes. Now before you stop reading, hear me out!!! I rock a sniper and a HC for medium and long range but when someone gets close. Our melee does roughly 75% dmg. So one shot from a HC will kill most with it. Handheld is still a super strong 1 shot kill ability that can shut down people pushing up on you as well. The big thing you have to keep in mind though is that this is a DEFENSIVE class. Abilities are for the purpose of killing people trying to push up on you. Blink is made to create that distance so you can keep people at medium/long range. Now when you use your ult, best way is to blink into the sky and then just phase shift/blink till you are on top of the enemy and just charge while falling. Rinse and repeat. TLDR; Nova Warp has been my go to for pvp due it’s amazing mobility and defensive capability. I hit legend with it and while it will take practice, I think it is the most lethal warlock class currently.

2 RepliesWarlocks get an exotic that gives them incredibly fast supers and the forums is filled with warlocks never get love threads 😂

4 RepliesI think warlocks should have self Res again like the good ol' days. Loved that super.

Warlocks are the best sword class. You can easily solo master nightfalls. No other class cam do that. In pvp, they are my least favorite class though.

9 RepliesThis is my personal thoguhts on how Warlocks are right now: Shadebinder is still good even after the nerfs; just needs an exotic or aspect that induces shatter, as well as fine tuning the new turret a bit. Glide needs better vertical mobility, and needs to lose that quirk where timing you Glide a split second into descending forces your downwards. Dawnblade:
Bottom tree Dawnblade needs overhauled. While the long lasting Super is nice, the neutral game is abysmal and ultimately makes the subclass only worth using when paired with Dawn Chorus and/or when you need solar super kills. Top could use a slightly better super (just make the projectiles faster or not spin) but is otherwise fine. Middle tree needs to be able to alternate between Daybreak and Well, similar to how top tree Sentinel works.
Stormcaller:
Bottom tree arc needs an actual good Super, either by making it more mobile or by letting us use Landfall multiple times per Super. Top tree is pretty much fine as is. Middle tree needs Ball Lightning buffed to not be garbage. Perhaps make blink standard for Stormcaller too rather than just for top tree.
Voidwalker:
Voidwalker as a whole can use buffs. Scatter grenades and Axion bolts, though mostly Scatter nades, needs addressed so they aren't hot trash even when overcharged. Top tree Nova Bomb needs to lose the seekers and just make the initial bomb stronger as the seekers often don't track or don't spawn period; it also needs dedicated tracking so trash mobs can't kite it away. Vortex grenades needs to suck players in similar to Duskfield grenades (doesn't have to be as intense of a pull) so enemies can't just run right through it or get pushed out of it. Bottom tree Nova Bomb should get a perpetual duskfield pull until it dissipates; make the pull intensity falloff eitehr by distance or time for all I care, but actually make Nova useful. Nova Warp...eh.....just don't cut the base speed when charging? Idk what to really fix on it since HHSN got buffed.
I'm only going to address a few exotics here as there are a lot of good Warlock exotics already. The Stag: Replace Healing Rift with a Poison Rift wherever cast, including when on death. Poison Rifts are either larger or last longer when created upon the wearer's death. Skull of Dire Ahamkara: Replace energy refund on Nova bomb. Give it Shatter from D1. Eye of Another World: Either increase ability regen when killing an enemy that was damaged by your ability, or make it further increase ability regen when killing a highlighted target. Promethium Spur: Remove Rift generation on Dawnblade kills. Instead allow you to place both rifts at once at the cost of rift duration. Cooldowns unaffected.

1 ReplyI only play Hunters and even I think that Warlocks don’t get any good stuff. The classes should be more equal.
Hunters are by default the best class and have the best jump btw. DON’T BRING UP THE LAST GUARDIAN GAMES AGAINST ME!
1 Replywhy don't you just play titan too? that's what i do
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/798647296921174077/810736177912479784/video0.mov
1 ReplyAww man did you by chance play the contraverse handheld nova nuke meta? Seems pretty small now with stasis running amuck! But they nerfed that for y’all too because your ultimate power shook the hunter community! 😂
im part of the hunter community see you next time when I cry about Titans winning guardian games!
5 RepliesNOTE FOR TOXIC PEOPLE IN THIS THREAD: Crucible stats aren't everything. A very small part of this game is crucible. Not many people are good at crucible nor play very much of it. Don't call someone trash and talk shit about them because of their stats in crucible.
-
We're doin aight, its just the stasis subclass we got the short straw on but that's just from a pvp standpoint. We're top tier in pve and tbh, chaos reach, nova warp, top tree dawnblade are still contenders. Stasis will be tuned down like everything always does.

4 RepliesYeah, they hate warlocks. In a game with space magic, by all means, nerf the class that embodies that space magic 🙄 Proof that Bungie hates ‘locks: —1 Ikora Rey does nothing anymore —2 Osiris lost his ghost/connection to the light —3 They killed off Asher Mir, perhaps the only other warlock in the game that had relevance —4 All other warlocks in story related content are included via lore only. —5 Dresses....like, a lot of dresses....
Hunters have/had: Cayde - dead Eris - lightless, but dark powered? New light plank - guides the youth Uldren/Crow - likely next hunter VG? Titans have/had: Zavala - dictator of the last city Sloan - dead Saint-14 - former VG all around BA Lord Saladin - Iron Lord, greater Shaxx Shaxx - “Lord,” crucible overseer Warlocks have/had: Ikora - worthless, still warlock VG? Asher - dead Osiris - lightless, oversees Trials
1 ReplyThe super needs either an Aspect or a rework imo. In PvP The tracking snow balls are completely hit or miss and they're are borderline useless if the match you're in has subpar connections. You can literally shoot an entire volly at people standing 10 ft in front of you and they will fly right past them. It's one of the only supers in the game where you can legit just run up to it and punch it to death with no fear of death. If he tries to shoot the snowballs at his feet to freeze you, won't happen. Shadebinder has no maneuverability whatsoever. It's just fly slowly at you while saying "omg plz don't shoot me" for some reason it also has the lowest damage reduction of all stasis supers... 🤔What? Not to mention shadebinder as a super does 0, zip, nada, zilch, not a single bit of damage to anything unless they are frozen. In pve you can't even kill enemies with 1% health and a dot over their head with the shockwave for goddess sake. We still don't even have a Shatter ability 🤦 Heck, Necrotic Grips and Thorn has better ad clean potential than Shadebinder and you don't even need a super or a charged melee to do it. Revenant Hunter gets an insta freeze with a bigger AoE than Nova Bomb that can freeze you in the air, under platforms and around corners and if that doesn't straight up kill you, you'll break out, get slowed and frozen by the torando and die. Heck, you might as well just put the controller down because if you don't die, you're just gonna waste about 10 seconds of your life getting slowed again. Bakris, Shurikens and Duskfield combos are complete aids and infinitely more annoying then getting insta froze by a melee that only lasts 1/2 a second. I still cannot understand why they nerfed the piss out of Warlock before we even unlocked all the aspects and fragments. Ya, you nerfed Warlock after a week or two but let Shatter Dive go on for over 3 months and the nerf you did to it essentially did nothing 🤦 Heck, just getting slowed gives you like 10 debuffs instantly 🤦 Behemoth is, I don't know what the heck they were thinking on that one in terms of balance. The super is nigh unkillable unless God smiles upon you. On cast he instantly freezes everything in an 8m radius, the ice pillars instantly freeze you even if you aren't near them. He can shatter them and deal an AoE explosion just by running through them. He has Outrageously good movement speed as well. On top of that, the new Aspect lets him insta freeze anything just by sliding and you can do it as much as you want in your super because you have infinite melee charges 🤦 We didn't even get any Stasis Exotic. Why did Warlocks get shafted after a week or so but the other two get to run around uncontested for a whole season? Also, Happy Valentine's Day. RIP Crimson Doubles. The Desperado Messenger is absolutely cracked even though bungie took away Redrix because "power creep" but it's whatever I guess. 🤷 Are we gonna get Mag Howl and Micro Missile back next season too?

1 ReplyEdited by hoppydied123: 2/15/2021 5:19:33 AMAgree with everything! Nova warp is so fun conceptually, but very unfun in PvP and god forbid you pop the super in pvp. Felwinters is actually better than it.

4 RepliesLifetime Warlock. Can say with absolute certainty the pecking order is Hunters>Titans>>>>>Warlocks.

3 RepliesOne who thinks warlock is underpowered needs to go watch Houndish new video. Warlock is the most op class in the game IF YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKE A PROPER BUILD.

5 RepliesEdited by megablueX: 2/15/2021 3:21:40 AMWarlocks have been overpowered for years. In d1 they had the ability to come back to life. Now 4 years later with healing rifts and stasis they are underpowered how? Ok so your complaining about pvp. They need to seperate the two modes and tweak them seprately everything would be fixed.

4 RepliesImagine thinking a game developer and company that CREATED the Warlock class doesn't like its own creation yet, has kept that very class in the game since day 1. Sounds a little silly right? Now, imagine coming to that games forums and trying to plead some case that you have somehow been "discriminated" against like you actually are a Warlock in real life. Sounds a little silly too right? Some of you need to cool it down about this game, for real. We're all passionate about the game finding balance, etc., but damn. Take a mental break or something.
Or keep it coming. I forgot how great some of the entertainment you all provide is.
14 RepliesWarlocks are just the PvE class. I wouldn’t say they’re completely disrespected because it is virtually inarguable that they are the best PvE class/have the most variety in what is viable in PvE. But in PvP? Yikes. Icarus Dash is alright but Hunter jump is basically Icarus Dash on any class with no cooldown and with more variety in the direction you can go, not to mention dodge or shatterdive or any exotics that alter their movement further. All the Warlock supers in PvP are mega garbage tier compared to what the other classes have and the only good ones are the ones you have to sacrifice everything for just to have a good super: Chaos Reach is a mediocre super but you get it quick enough that it sorta makes up for it, Dawnblade is the most inconsistent trash I’ve ever used—right up there with sentinel light attacks but at least they get an aimbot shield, and the stasis super is good when the enemy is stupid enough to not run away—real good in 6s but virtually useless against good players in 3s. And Warlock exotics are just generally not geared toward PvP for the most part, like yeah there are a few but they generally just moderately improve basic things, which is fine—I’m not saying they’re bad, they’re great—but you don’t get the freedom to really spec into anything. The problem lies in the fact that as a Warlock in PvP, you basically have to sacrifice either good neutral game or a good super while subclasses like Revenant and Behemoth and Spectral Blades and so many others have strong neutral game AND supers built in and then exotics that simply enhance as opposed to salvage. Whenever Warlocks get both they get nerfed within weeks (Nova Warp and Shadebinder are prime examples). Now this isn’t me saying Warlocks are incredibly weak or anything, it’s more pointing out the fact that Bungie’s design philosophy around Warlocks, on average, cripples their viability in PvP. There are definitely outlier, viable trees on Warlock, but the player is granted so little agency over what they can run because so little on the class is actually worth running in PvP. To me, it’s clear they intend for Warlock to be a PvE class, considering how large of a portion of their kit is just completely useless or nearly useless in PvP—I just don’t think that’s the right approach.

4 Repliesyeah ok lol.. stasis is too easy... chaos reach is a cheese now.. pheonix protocal makes it so you never lose your well.. what else do you guys want?????

1 ReplyTrade Federation Separatists by the looks of their new armor set

2 RepliesWarlocks' jump is the reason why I can't play that class and never leveled my nephew's Warlock like I told him I would. Maybe if they gave them like a triple floof similar to hunters but not exactly the same it would help them. I will say that you guys did get potentially the most ridiculous thing in PvP this season. That turret if it gets buffed could be a total game changer. You can see why they put it out under tuned, especially given that they did it the other way with the freezing melee and people complained. If I were you I'd ask them to buff that turret. I don't want it buffed but that thing is a scary evolution for PvP.

1 ReplyLocks are really strong. Its all about stasis now with every char. Time goes on and it will all even out. I remember when warp was so strong that it was pain to play against.
-
I play Nova Warp. It is fun and hilarious watching players trying to catch you when you warp all over the place baiting them to your teammates. It is by far one of my favorite subclasses since they destroyed the OG Dawnblade Top Tree. I miss when I could punch someone and get a major bonus to speed and reload as a flame welding sword throwing BAMF.

19 RepliesJust a couple quick clarifications from a Hunter main... 1) Shatterdive is not broken, the way Whisper of Fissures functioned was broken. Now that the shatter effect has been significantly limited, the Glacier Grenade + Shatterdive strat is very much limited as well. Sure, you can still kill a Guardian if they’re trapped by your grenade before you Shatterdive, but you’re not getting any of those massive AoE double and triple kills any longer. 2) Silence and Squall is not a very effective PvP super outside of 6v6 matches. In both Comp and Trials, you’re likely getting one kill per activation unless you’ve got the opponents bunched up in a small area. That’s a similar idea for most other PvP supers. The slow movement speed and somewhat unpredictable directionality of the Squall make it rather ineffective in smaller matches like Comp and Trials outside of that immediate first kill. In the 6v6 matches you can definitely get some cheap kills from Squall as it meanders around the map, but people have definitely adjusted to how it functions quite a bit. All in all, just wanted to point out that I think you’re overestimating Stasis Hunter by a decent margin. I do agree that Stasis Warlock is very meh, especially in PvP, Dawnblade is a far superior roaming super.
