Try not to rely on it. Titans can immediately melee right after a Shiver Strike to guarantee the kill as shown here: https://youtu.be/fxW5fkOshhs This "counter" is relying on the enemy titan not being aware of this fact, and is simply using Shiver Strike for it's knockback. It might work in normal quickplay environments, but against a decent player it just wont happen.
