I used to think the same thing, but I'm an avid Shinobu's Vow user with a discipline build and it's fun! It's satisfying to counter Hunters shatterdiving so mindlessly.
I'm not gonna tell you stasis isn't OP, because it is somewhat out of hand sometimes. BUT, it can be beaten (:
I say give PvP another shot out of your comfort zone, and maybe you'll find your own counter to stasis! Best of luck

I love fighting Shinobu's users now since I use Tabarah. Charges up its Ravanous Beast perk so easily. XD

I should try shinobu’s against stasis sometime. I’ve always loved that exotic.

It's hella fun [spoiler]and good in Trials[/spoiler] If you really wanna be an asshole, look at my Hunter lmao. 2 Bolstering Detonations on my Hunter's gaunlets so when I do damage with my grenade, it recharges my class ability Up next comes 2 Bomber mods on my cloak, so when I dodge I get some grenade energy back. Bottom Tree Strider so when I sprint I get my dodge quicker and near death recharges abilities quicker (: Tier 9 discipline and boom, everything flows together

^plus Shinobu's perk when you deal damage w your Skips, it gives some energy back
