The Trials population is really low right now. Streamers made videos on it.
I stopped playing it myself because it is just no fun anymore. Every game is like you are playing the top 0.1 percent of Trials players because everybody else gave up on it.
If this mode is only intended for the 0.1 percent of players to play it then I get it but I kinda hope it isn’t.
What I think should change is this mind set that it is only for this 0.1 percent. The servers aren’t brilliant. Players cheat. Some do recovs. Some use routers to get the rewards. So just please stop by saying it is only meant for the top 0.1% (and/or cheaters).
What Bungie should do is change a few things to already make it more playable for more players. This is what I think would help.
1. You can only buy one card on each character. Manually deleting is not possible. It will be deleted after reset.
2. You can reset your card unless you go flawless. And only after you have a loss on your card.
3. Match making is based on your wins AND losses on your card.
4. The match making is also based on connection.
5. On 8 games you can’t match the same team.
This way players can have 3 fresh cards and after that they will only play other flawless players.
Teams with good connections will match up against other teams with good connections. Teams with bad connection will feel the pain other players feel when playing against them.
If you match up with the same team within 8 games you are using a router to get a fixed match making. In other words you are cheating.

3 RepliesThey need to add matchmaking to trials...the problem is ppl have trouble finding teams since most players only want ppl with 1.5 and up kds on their team
-
If Trials is just for 1% of the player base it should receive only 1% of Bungo resources and attention to develop... oh wait, it already does... lol. Mode is dead.

5 RepliesWe have connection based matching now and it's destroyed crucible so no. Leave it as is let the sweats and streamers have there little space, they've already killed the rest of pvp.
-
Maybe it’s because streamers are actively broadcasting recoveries. One of my favorite things to do is watch streamers have to keep resetting cards.
-
Yeah bungies just gonna drag random’s into trials weather they want it or not.

What do people expect from a top tier tournament style game activity that was designed for a very small fraction of players without any kind of groupfinder in game ?

1 ReplyConnection based has ruined pvp as a whole, plus its definitely not connection based, all my games today except the last were lag fests. Laggy game and against stacks is very poor.

1 ReplyMaybe if it worked like D1 and had D1's Trials system and loot, maybe you would get more players, just maybe.

36 RepliesTrials is endgame pvp. It is made for the tryhards. And thats a good thing. Casual players have loterally every other mode. Let the skilled players have theirs.

1 ReplyIt’s dead, bungie needs to come up with something different.

1 ReplyI understand some of this matter from my work and I wanted to comment on it, the routers that use bots or look for games against users with a kd of 0.1, also being the case that the router itself looks for the famous bot lobbies although in destiny it is not If so, these routers are worth around 200 dollars and the truth is they have an amazing technology. Now very few people enter the Osiris tests because you are going to find the following, people using hacks programs, people who are going to throw you out of the tests with a DDoS, people who carry the magic device that gives you so many Assists that it seems that you are fighting with Jesus Christ, people who have paid a recovery and are going to knock your game down ...... this is the panorama of osiris tests, also the rewards remember that they are going to expire so it does not deserve It is worth playing something that is not going to have any value, by the way putting on the emblems of the osiris tests labels you directly as a cheater and this said by pvp players through messages I received last month, judge for yourself

1 ReplyEasily done by adding freelance queuing system, however, super skilled jump button spammers shooting unmissable floors with telesto who are super skilled, did I mention they were super skilled, cry about the idea.

1 ReplyTrials population is getting worryingly low. Last weeks especially but Id say that has more to do with the map and flawless rewards (an armour piece with last seasons expiry date)
