oh that was disappointing.? Take away the guns, make them obsolete and now, here are the exact same things with a bit of a twist , go grind anew.
not that i would have liked the dreaming city style or the hivegoosplashedhumanweapon style from the moon .. but i just finished deleting the old weapon pool from the moon.. (where the smg was really nice and void) and now i can regrind this fornthe exact same gun i just dismantled. weeeeeeeh! way to go..
i really doubt that is what bungie sold us sunetting on..
how about at least a new model for the gun? i mean designign a gun should be an afternoon in a decent editor.. thats 2 guys for a week that make those gun models .. is that asked too much?
just make them look different ..ok?

Why are people surprised? They've already done this before. Took me forever to get ikelos shotty. I finally get it and it gets sunsetted. But it comes back immediately but I have to do the dungeon for it. -blam!- that.

Would you enjoy it if people came and judge how effectively you got your work done without understanding any of it? Perspective is important. That SMG was meh at best btw.

1 ReplyEven the 1 gun I would potentially grind for again - Vouchsafe - basically already has a replacement with the Royal Chase, which I have a full auto Dragonfly roll I'm very happy with. I have zero interest in any of the other weapons being reissued.

Bungie just needs to take an entire season (or year) to just focus on fixing Destiny's sandbox, mechanics, loot, mods, armor, planets, public events, strikes, etc, etc, etc. Because I don't see the point of spending an entire season (or year) giving us amazing new lore and story when the game itself can't keep up. It's 2021 and Bungie needs to get ready to do some spring cleaning. The only reason I still have Destiny installed on my PC is out of respect for the amazing game it was... but as soon as another good game catches my eye, I'm probably going to need the hard drive space.

I have to say, at this point when you guys are complaining and how the system works and you understand that this is the way the system is then it's time to leave. people complained on the other side of the pendulum swing as well. There were too many guns that were just side grades and things did not get better. They cannot continue to make things stronger than recluse because then it trivializes their game. No decision they've made seems to be easy because no matter what they do there's always a vocal minority complaining way too much about it.

Best part is if you read the TWAB it isn't even guaranteed you will get a new one from the old dungeons.

8 RepliesHere us my thing with it, they updated the perk pools so even if the old ones could be infused up you would still need to grind the new rolls for them meaning you would have to re earn your gear either way

I agree. Surely the company has saved assets they can reuse. Its evident in the sheer amount of reskins we have had. They could quite literally take the stock off the DC shotgun, the shiny casing around the top of the handcannon and a basic SMG body, combine bits together, stick a mag on the bottom of it and Bam, theres a Dreaming City-styled SMG. Provided I had the assets it would probably take me a day to do. Then all that's needed is the adjustments of reload animations from the existing SMG body.

they make an error from the start, but who cares? is just an extra loot when is nothing to do in the game

They should of sunsetted the pinnacles like MT and recluse and anything that was in its vicinity. Or made them exotics and tweaked the perks abit. And they could of taken out some of the weapons that HARDLY being used. And could of kept the rest as is, and then work from there. The fact that I'm losing the raid gear that arent coming back or weapons make me not care for the grind and only play as much as I feel and not care for anything else unless its exotic quest. Sunsetting is just a lazy way to reissue stuff back to us and slap "new" on it and add "new perks" that probably arent even worth it or care for and they wonder why people arent grinding the new stuff. Just revert sunset already and if you dont wanna bring back the guns we lost then make what we have now and going forward permanent.

They probably sunset guns because we don’t neothem anymore . Abilities only, stasis.... D2 is a game for 8 years old or -blam!-. It’s a shame, it was at some point a very good game
