No drop protection on raid loot anymore?
How come I have to watch some guy get a rocket launcher for his fifth time when I've got 31 clears.
Thought it maxed out at 50% every 25?

11 Repliesit is impossible to have 31 clears that count. Raid has been out for 7 weeks, that is a maximum of 21 clears, so 42%

That drop protection is usually added months after the fact

They usually only do that later in the year. Keep trying if you want to be one of the first to have it.

6 RepliesYou wouldn’t have 31 clears though for the rocket. 3 chances per week (assuming you’re running 3 characters) for 7 weeks (including this week) you’d only have 21 eligible clears. But yea I share the frustration, I still haven’t got it either. I believe the other raids had a 50% drop chance after 20 clears of not getting it to drop. Don’t know if the same applies to this raid. Bungie hasn’t even mentioned anything about it which is annoying.

4 RepliesThe longer the raid is out the more they will tinker with the exotics drop rate. It just came out. Can't make it easy for everyone to get within 2 months. They have to let some people be snowflakes.

yea I know that feeling. I have done every loot run I can do and still no rocket launcher and its the last thing on the badge I need

It's just fair game at play with chances there really. Drop pretection for Raid exotics should be there absolutely, but still random is random and the game is designed around it.

2 RepliesI mean you’d still only have a 50% percent chance Theoretically if you’re unlucky enough it could still take you a million times. 50/50 does not mean, “hey I didn’t get it this time so next time I’m guaranteed to get it.” Each time it’d still be 50/50 chance.

Edited by DriftedColt8917: 12/31/2020 12:11:18 AMThe only raids that had the bonus % based on clears was Last wish and Sotp, bungie specifically stated that those weapons had the bonus. The new raid as far as I’ve read does NOT have a raising bonus % based on clears.

2 RepliesFew problems with this comment: 1. The drop protection you are referencing was specifically for Last Wish and Scourge of the Past. 2. This only accounts for looted clears, at this point, the maximum amount of looted clears you can have is 18. Back to the main focus of your post. I'm convinced there's an algorithm that rewards players with better loot the less they play the game. Many seasoned raiders are still missing out on the rocket while the casuals that have 1 or 2 clears have gotten it. I wouldn't really mind, except that it's tied to the Descendent Title. I'll have everything done next week except the RL drop if I don't get it from one of my 3 raids.

2 RepliesThat drop protection was only for 1K and Anarchy, most likely cause Last Wish is two years and Scourge was leaving. The rocket is fun to use but mediocre anyway, best of luck to all those who need it though.

2 RepliesK seems to be a lot of confusion here. You cannot farm the rocket it's on a weekly lockout per character. Also rng is rng my buddy got his on the first run and I didn't get it till lucky 13.

Took me 49 for 1k, 67 for Anarchy, 11 for Eyes. RNG sucks

5 RepliesWell, the raid has only been out for 6 weeks. Assuming you do it on three characters, you can only have had 18 chances at getting EoT All your other runs dont count except being able to buy something with spoils

7 RepliesSorry but you math is work on 2 points. The raid hasn’t been out for 31 looted clears and the drop rate is a static 5%.

3 RepliesAfter 20 Runs with no Drop, it goes up 50%, doesn't mean though it makes it a Guarantee Drop.
