It’s not going to go away and all the matches revolve around your recharge rates and chucking stasis at each other. This is extraordinarily boring.
Edit: I don’t know what anyone is talking about in respect to what guns anyone is using. I don’t pay attention and I tend to use ARs and scouts. If you are here complaining about previous seasons/years/metas, that is my point with stasis. It is all of that plus whatever the gun meta is.
Edit 2: Because there might be confusion. I am not getting wrecked by Stasis. I play mid range, so I don’t have a lot of direct pain from it.
Edit 3: Thnks Bungie, in less than a month, you created a shotgun/sniper meta. Most mid range guns aren’t capable of taking down a shotgun ape and because of Stasis, it’s either freeze em and charge or snipe from long range. This isn’t a natural meta and it shows.

14 RepliesThat claws of Ahamkara, Monte Carlo, warlock build is so hilariously annoying. Warlocks were complaining about not having a PvP class even though Top solar exist. Congratulations. Now warlocks have the 2 of the 3 strongest classes in pvp 😂 Yea stasis is ridiculous.
-
I agree with you . When I go into pvp matches with whole bunch Stasis abilities, it’s so stupid over power in Destiny franchise. They need play test first and then release it. Unfroze yourself take so long. I don’t mind combatants freeze us, but pvp stupid.

9 RepliesEdited by Xeno: 11/13/2020 6:22:17 PMOkay. I'll try to be neutral here. Warlocks are broken. Hunters are alright. Titans are super good, but not broken. I say these based solely on the stasis subclasses. Take everything else in the sandbox and look at them against stasis. Shotgun apes. Shotgun apes FINALLY have a direct counter. Sure. You can just walk back or jump (if you're a hunter), but having the ability to stop Shotgun apes from rushing you is phenomenal. However, one warlock melee shouldn't freeze you. If it should be allowed to, then hunters should be able to freeze with one shuriken and titans should be able to freeze as well as knock back with their melee ability.. You see how broken that would be? Exactly. It's broken. I will also say, it's literally the 4th day. Get used to it. Figure out how to counter. Don't just cry about it. Actually try to find out how to counter it. The warlock super really only has one counter. Stupidity. Like if the person using it is a bot, you can easily kill them. I should also mention. PvE will be affected by changes to the subclasses because of PvP because Bungie is incompetent when it comes to changing things only in PvP. Stasis is really fun, and it can be pretty big brain. I'm personally against nerfing the titan and hunters, but I do want them to nerf warlocks because you know. Obvious reasons. But they should also nerf the damage you take when you break free or just remove it. Decreasing the time you're frozen is a must as well.

Edited by Kiro - 13: 11/13/2020 5:55:03 PMSo this right here is irrefutable evidence that Bungie testing group/management needs to needs new leadership. Currently the warlock stasis subclass has an infinite super glitch. Now what makes this damning and an eye opening experience I hope for readers. It functions the same exact way as infinite dawn blade. Proper game testing has previous/known game exploitation as part of the test teams basic order of operations. Examples on this list more recently are dual perk/ability slots. This use to be a big problem in the past but has not happened recently with the last instance being felwinter helm. They need competency from this group and should consist of minds that believe in breaking the game is the best way to play a game. Here they clearly rubber stamped the stasis sub class as "works and does not crash the game", which is sad and the lead should be held accountable. Bungie make your newer applicants for the job play D&D with "rule lawyering, meta game, min/maxing nerds that make you not want to DM"

Honestly ... I feel like Bungie did this just to troll the PvP crowd.

1 ReplyEdited by Facelauss: 11/13/2020 8:10:10 PMWe actually have a pretty good primary balance too smh I was lucky enough to play BL crucible the first day before people had stasis, the primary meta felt fairly diverse
-
5 RepliesYou mean instead of every match revolving about getting special and throwing 1 shots at eachother? Only sweatlords dont like stasis because they cant shotgun sweat anymore.
-
It would be great if bungie removed all quests from pvp.
-
I disagree entirely. This is the most fun I've had since D1 pvp. Git gud scrub.
-
Just remove PvP already. It's never going to be balanced, and it's been a tumor on this franchise since the beginning.
-
2 RepliesGet good kiddos
-
I played like one or two crucible matches. I'm done. No thanks. I dealt with snares and knock downs and stuns in SWTOR for years. I'm good.
-
I haven't used stasis in PVP yet. I am only going to say this. I have played very little crucible since they removed skill based match making. This frustration that you are feeling? This anger at being steam rolled? Welcome to the feeling that people like me have been feeling since the removal of sbmm. This is *exactly* how people who struggle to bridge the skill gap feel in a crucible without skill based match making. Enjoy! 😂😂😂🙄

2 RepliesIs there a way to get strangers rifle without buying it with real money. Got game through game pass and bought the season with silver. So kinda don’t wanna spend money for a singular beautiful gun that was nerfed in d1 cause bungie potato
-
It’s not horrible in 3V3 imo. 6v6 it’s a problem
-
4 RepliesStasis is arguably worse than pre nerf one eyed mask and wormhusk with arc battery. I can deal with annoying metas and weapons like mountaintop but it takes a lot to make the game as unfun as those three metas.
-
5 RepliesI agree that stasis has made crucible even that much worse for me a very below average pvp player. The worst thing has been where I spawn. It’s usually right in front of the other team or just a few steps away around the corner.

Edited by BurnerCMW: 11/13/2020 6:31:22 PMIceflare bolts are insane. I used a grenade on one enemy, killed him, and a few second later the entire team was dead. And I'm not good at PvP so this is definitely broken.
-
1 ReplyIt's so bad. OK in PVE, horrible idea for PVP.
-
It’s actually crazy that bungie managed to make the state of pvp worse. I’d rather go back to last season and get sprayed by zero skill autos. At least id have a chance to shoot back

1 ReplyIt's a clever way to attract New Light players into buying the new DLC. Once new(er) players see a powerful way to contend with sweats; Bungie's owner profits again. Don't expect these wild swings back and forth, to end anytime soon. Indeed; it's solid gaming psychology to keep your market off-balance, and see how much profits shake out. Even these forums are dedicated to maintaining instability, and further cause Bungie profit stability. Gaming psychology, as does marketing in general, operates on mathematical equations such as these. And bipolar effects surrounding these tactics, like polarized politics, climatic swings, increasing ignorance through failing educational systems, that narrow behavioral ranges, causing easier conditions to mold people into bipolar swings, etc.. Study Behavioral Science. It ain't rocket surgery.

20 RepliesShadebinder is OP, it's going to get nerfed into oblivion... I can't wait and I'm a -blam!-ing 'lock 😂 I don't even have the subclass unlocked yet. Yup, shits about to get real.
-
Disable supers in PVP.

Edited by iMisai: 11/13/2020 5:47:27 PMWhat, you think it’s broken that you can get frozen and murdered easily out of any super? Lol rekt
Sarcasm

Gottem
1 ReplySo basically grab the weekly bounties complete them and bounce the hell out. Got it 👍

It’s not going to go away and all the matches revolve around your recharge rates and chucking stasis at each other. This is extraordinarily boring.
Agreed ^^ 200% A grenade that freezes you in comp is the worst spam I have dealt with in pvp (pretty much ever) The ONLY thing more annoying was full teams running the original vex mythoclass.
