I know my least favorite moment. When DMT was already overpowered and then got a buff.

I'm definitely happy with it overall and so far. A totally snow stage might not be everyone's cup of tea but Europa is up there in my favorite D2 stages of all time. My only hang up is that this has got to be some of the worst matchmaking in PvP I've ever experienced (and I have experienced quite a bit of terrible matchmaking, its honestly got to be pretty close to most). Every match seems to include at least one of: one guy on my team having shot registration and the rest obviously have little to none, not having the right amount of players on my team for half the match, stacked teams of everyone being diamond on the opposite team. I almost forgot about the joining in progress but that hasn't been as bad as it has been in the past. I've been on the losing team in 62% of my matches now. Almost 2/3 of my matches have been me on the losing team with at least one of the things above taking place. If this is what it feels like to absolutely suck at this game then I see why people avoid PvP. I just wish the shot registration was better because I have no idea what weapon I'm going to exploit to a game breaking level yet.

Beyond light itself is ok/good. The main issue is the inherent battle pass model, which unfortunately for die hard fans, the general public loves. But it's clearly the way to go from a business perspective, so makes total sense. It's just how it is. I would like there to be some rare, difficult to get, loot to chase. Everything just seems so easy to acquire. Hoping the raid and dungeon will be good (if there is a dungeon planned🤷‍♂️)

I haven't purchased it. I actually uninstalled destiny a few months ago. In order to force myself to take a break. I was worried I would be burned out before beyond light. Now I have no desire to even play destiny. I keep saying I'm gonna wait a few months before I get beyond light. As the days go by im not sure if I'll ever be back. Why in the world am I still on the destiny app??

4/5 I love the lore. Story is a bit short but I didn't expect forsaken or ttk length because they set the expectations before launch. Stasis is a fantastic inclusion for all parts of the game. Some tweaking needs to be done for sure. But I really have to hand it to Bungie. I didn't think freezing to kill things was going to feel worth using over straight killing power. I'm glad to be wrong. I don't particularly like how the new exotics seem to all be removed from exotic engrams. I don't know why Bungie is insistent on taking away an option when adding a new one. We could have a more direct way to some exotics but also have the ability to luck out eventually. Also I don't have a problem with sunsetting as a concept. But I think it was handled poorly. We don't have good representation of archetypes or even weapon classes like hmgs now. And I definitely can't understand why anything from forsaken or shadowkeep would be sunset to begin with. So far those are my only two complaints.

I enjoy it more than Forsaken so far. I like the story better, and Stasis is way more fun than the Forsaken subclasses.

I do not see how any rational guardian can objectively give this DLC anything greater than a 2. And that's pushing it. Story 4 Beyond Light missions 2 (ok but get repetitive real fast and too much traveling around,) Quests and side missions 2 (too much traveling around waypoints would really help) Subclass 3 (fun but I don't see its utility and it breaks pvp) Loot 1 (it's a loot game without loot. Yeah there are some exotics that are fun...but loot guys, vendor refreshes?) Gambit 1 (definitely not an improvement) Crucible 2 (less maps) Europa hunts 2 (meh. I'm sorry there really is no incentive for me) Endgame 2 (raids and grandmaster with out a mode to engage most players...so basically a mode for 5% of the people who bought the game) No dungeon 1 (end game most players have a chance of engaging and you left it out) Strikes 2 (less then before) Nerfs 1 (I feel less powerful) I'm meh. I hate that I have to unlock content on multiple character and loathing it. But. The game remains fun for me overall. Its riding on waning goodwill and fatigue may be setting in for me.... Oh well. It is what it is.

It’s okay. Lore wise, fantastic. Length wise....horrible. I remember how long taken king was and it seems like forever compared to this. I think I finished the main campaign in a day? Like, I unlocked stasis on day two. Europa looks cool, and it massive, but it’s also empty as hell. It’s desolate. It’s hard to find enemies. They’ve timegated endgame content and Uldren/The Crow content. The weapons aren’t unique in any way except skins. The armor is garbage. The power level grind is atrocious. They locked the new exotic armor pieces behind light level 1280 lost sectors, that have to be completed solo. I wouldn’t mind you could have a fire team. And even if somehow you do manage to clear the lost sector, it’s completely rng. You may get the new exotic. You may get a blue and 1000 glimmer. One new weapon with the Stasis element. They literally talked about how “Stasis isn’t just a new super, it’s also a weapon element”, talking like they were gonna add a bunch of Stasis weapons. Guess not. You HAVE to get the deluxe edition if you want No Time To Explain(I purchased the deluded edition, but I’m ticked for other people). You can only unlock one fragment a week, cause logic. Drifter and Eric’s are just thrown in there. They teased them CONSTANTLY, as if they were going to be crucial to the story. There there for one cutscene, and at the camp briefly. Sunsetting. There has been no vendor refresh in two years. TWO YEARS! No new weapons, no new gear. Shaw Han offers no actual rewards or quests. Ikora still does nothing but stand there. One new strike, removal of NINE STRIKES, rehash of an old one. End of campaign was easy. Took me two tries. Way way way too easy. Remember defeating Oryx in the campaign? Not easy(at least for me). Stasis super is fun to use, I main hunter so I’ll only mention revenant. Revenant p is only good against hordes of enemies and big bosses. Melee is cool in theory, not great in actuality. While the story is great and the new supers are fun, and it’s great to hear our guardian talk with our ghost(love how he’s concerned for us) it’s just...not the best it could have been. I know it’s only day four, so I’m gonna give them some time to adjust some stuff. I’m gonna wait till the PS5 is back in stock and get Spider-man Miles Morales(already got a small spoiler,gurrrrrh) and play that. I’m also currently playing Watch Dogs: Legion which is pretty fun. Not as great as I hoped, but still good. But honestly, once the Lord of The Rings MMO and the Harry Potter RPG launch, I may give up on destiny, which kind of makes me sad to say. I love this game. I got it the day after Christmas of 2015, and it was the coolest game I had ever played. It’ll always hold a special place in my heart. TL;DR. It’s ok, could have been better, gonna try some other games.

Sun setting for Destiny really isn’t new, if you played D1, and had max grimore like me with every weapon in the game that mattered along with all of the blueprints (insert D2 here with the pathetic excuse of my transmat weapons being destroyed at the tower) you’d should know by now how bunghole works. Anyone who wants to run the hamster wheel should, and let them feel the burn. Sad thing is another fanboy will step in soon and fall victim to their practice of giving you gear, taking it away, giving you gear, taking it away, reset game, rinse repeat. I have no rating to give as I haven’t bought it, but by playing the intro along with some pvp and a bit of gambit, It felt like Day 1 all over again. My advice? Wait 1-2 years and come back, that’s what I did after vanilla D1 for shadowkeep, and I’m going to do it again, or at least untill I see the VOG and have the chance to earn back MY vex mythoclast again (not like I had to clear the raid 12+ times the first time around untill it dropped for me).

3. The lacking loot pool is starting to show. I just want a decent austringer replacement or a nice aggressive HC with a reload perk but there is little available. The fact this is the biggest content drop for the next year and the loot pool has been cut to a fraction of what it was without many replacements is near unforgivable in a looter shooter.

Like all expansions it could have been better at some aspects but I really enjoy it so far.

I mean, it's destiny. Nothing surprised me, there was a villain with a lower intellect than a brick, and the new subclasses are awful to play against.

The 2 other major expansions and imo, far more interesting expansions don't even have relevant gear in the game anymore, so even if you wanted to play that shit, there's no point. With the removal of all the other content, were really only left with whatever this seasons shit is and strikes, broken PvP and gambit.... Great. We are in a mega content debt. If you're on the fence, don't buy it, the only content that is in this game anymore is eververse, it's clear where the priorities are for the future of this cash machine. And to top it off they somehow made the disfigured character presets look even worse. So that's great.

4 stars. Really enjoyed the campaign and characters, Europa is an atmospheric winter wonderland, and my favorite location the Cosmodrome came back. Stasis in PvE is amazingly powerful and fun (Love freezing enemies with my ice sickles). My only complaints are Stasis in PvP and sunsetting. Would been fine with just planets sunsetting, but I understand why weapons had to be sunset.
