Hand cannon mistake

So love the idea of merging archetypes and changing rof just you did it backwards it should definitely be 140-150 the slight damage nerf to 600 is pointless when the auto is shooting you from double your range at max hand cannon range to the auto having 50 range or less with no buff needed and a faster ttk at least the 150 could fight it with ttk the 140 can't compete in range or ttk with 600 autos what is this nerf they need a single bullet more it's 600 rpm one bullet is irrelevant. I'm sure by now its already implemented and can't be changed but I wish you guys would've talked sandbox of guns faster if your gunplay feels bad pvp as a whole feels bad. Even if you make all hand cannons 150 600 rpm autos still have too much range their outranging pulses easily. Well see ultimately nothing we can do now but I hope you can get back to this pretty quick with the new engine changes.

  • With a hand cannon you also have the benefit of being able to peek and take a shot and take cover again and get in big chunks of damage at a time vs having to hit a target consistently with little amounts of damage.

  • 600's got nerfed dude why are people still crying aboug them? The current damage is 15.75( actually 16 because its rounded) going down to a 14 thats litteraly the same damage as 720's so we gonna nerf 720's for being faster ?Yes it was way overtuned and got a nerf but some of yall just wanna nerf it to the ground. At this point if the reason for losing is a gun its you. We had a handcannon meta,pulse rifle meta,shotgun is always meta,fusion meta, and now auto meta we running out of guns to blame. How about you stop aZZuming stuff see it beforehand before you make aZZumptions.

          • Bungie’s sandboxing never looks at how easy it is to use a gun so it doesn’t say anything. Some guns are way more forgiving then other guns. For example a 600 rpm AR that shoots like a laser and has enough bullets to kill 3 players without a lot of headshots easily is of course way easier to use then a hand cannon that requires perfect head shots to even stand a chance.

            • I think the biggest concern is that primary ttk across the board has increased, so special weapons will be even more dominate forcing less primary duals.

                Depending on range stat non-scoped (default 16 zoom) 600 rpms currently shoot to 32-37 meters without losing optimal ttk with dropoff. Max range rangefinder HCs currently 3-tap to around 31 meters with dropoff. Lotta folks missed it but hand cannons are getting a range buff as well. It's there in yesterday's twab. 5-10 meters more to effective 140 rpm 3-tap range depending how it works in practise and even more for 120 rpms. 600s wont have any range advantage over HCs next season without scopes. And not a lotta folks run scopes because common opinion's that high zoom = less ease-of-use 600s will take 1 more bullet for optimal ttk with the changes. Not exactly irrelevent since it takes the optimal ttk to around 0.77 - 0.8 which is the same as 720 rpms currently. Something lotta folks here consider meta defining.

              • I'd be happier if 600 auto's got a range nerf, as it stands it looks like auto's will probably be top dog for the next 6 months. I'll have to actually play in the new sandbox to see how things are, but I'm not hopeful
