2 Replies150 hc change is questionable. 110 hc buff is nice. Snipers are a nice change, but you need to fix the flinch on it. Adept weapons, finally, people have more motivation to go flawless instead of token farming. Auto rifles.....finally. Scouts.......they needed a pve damage buff or something, and made rabbit has high cal now? (Gets season 8 Vietnam flashbacks). Rockets? Reserve buff is nice but we want rockets that can have 2 shots without clown cartirage. Mountain top.......FINALLY LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now the no skill players actually need to get good. Falling guillotine nerf is a huge L. Ruinous effigy nerf was completely unnecessary, it's a good gun with the perk actually being amazing, I have not heard a single complaint about the gun. I was told that the unbroken title is going away but that is a lie, nice.

1 ReplyEdited by Whos K0NG?: 10/22/2020 10:09:14 PMThese are excellent changes and really look well thought out. Getting rid of 150s is a solid move for sure and the slight nerf to autos will still keep them in the meta but not dominate it. N mountain top, well that can crawl back In the krap hole it came out of. I however have one question...., can mida catalyst have kill clip seen as the mini tool will? Outlaw on mida is nothing but a troll perk with no value.

1 ReplyEdited by Riah: 10/22/2020 10:16:38 PMThe main feedback I would like to give is that all these changes are PVP-related. Personally, I hate PVP. There's a whole laundry list of reasons, both personal and prevalent, that go into that feeling, but that isn't really the point. I believe that sniper rifles, scout rifles, and hand cannons in general need to be buffed for PvE activities. The 110 (I guess 120 now) hand cannons should be able to one-tap minor enemies with a crit shot, but they don't. With a small magazine, low ROF, and often swarms of quick-moving foes to contend with, it would feel entirely justified to have an actual "cannon" as opposed to what feel like mildly stronger, less entertaining sidearms. Scouts and snipers are just too weak overall. Snipers in PvE should reward accuracy over distance, but as it is they feel like pea shooters. Scouts are okay, but they have the same issue as hand cannons--the slowest, punchiest ROF scouts should one-tap minor enemies when you get a crit, and the rest shouldn't be far behind. Instead it takes 2-4 shots, depending on the frame of gun. It just isn't very fun compared to auto rifles or pulse rifles (and if you ask me, pulse rifles are a bit stale at this point, after around 4 or 5 seasons of using mostly Bygones for everything). Snipers don't need as significant of a buff, but considering how little ammo you get in PvE to play with they should just have a little more punch. I suppose that's all I've got to say. I knew the Guillotine and auto nerfs were coming, and as much as it sucks that Bungie's philosophy is to make gameplay harder instead of more fun, it is what it is. I just hope you guys start looking at some of the less used exotics (like Sleeper for instance) and consider giving them a buff or at least some attention. Either way, I'm really looking forward to Beyond Light. Thank you, Bungie. Edit: Oh, yeah. I'll never touch Trials. I don't care what kind of OP BS guns you put in there (Summoner).

4 RepliesWait... is Malfeasance going to have a 20 round magazine? That's wack lmao!

Edited by Red-Dragon: 10/23/2020 2:41:45 AMLmfao 🤣 Yo Bungo u guys didn't need to make all this changes ! All u needed was to tune down 600rpm ARs then we had somewhat sandbox fixed ! U all just made it worse ! Just stop doing double work and sandbox team quit already, we need a new one ! Since I already bought the expansion, from my point of view I'll be playing the story mode then quit cause PvP will succ more than I thought ! Also PS5 is coming out there will be more interesting games to play !

2 RepliesBungie: We'll like your feedback... Also Bungie: Play as we want you to play. A Bungie employee: I know! Let's nerf everything! That will make everyone play our way.
-
2 RepliesSo I'm not sure what the changes to MIDA Mini and Drang are supposed to be for, since they're both being sunset (as well as their Baroque versions). Honestly I would prefer it if they were converted into exotics so they'd be immune to sunsetting. It would make them even more unique since they'd be the only way you can run two exotics weapons at once, given that you have their counterparts equipped as well.

1 ReplyEdited by Fibby: 10/22/2020 10:06:33 PMBastion and Arbalest are both still way too effective and easy to use, and so are sidearms. Flinch mechanic is not even mentioned, reducing aim assist will not fix the core issue where your game rewards you with a headshot when you were aiming off target (or the body) while you got shot, thats why it is so difficult to challenge a sniper when the game basically aims for them. You will most likely get an increase in the Trials population when the expasion is released (just like with every other activity) and some people will want those adept weapons, but unless you change the loot system and make the mode more rewarding to play it will soon go back to where it is now... Extremely low population that leads to constant lag issues to many people because you are not that likely to match a team that has the same amount of wins and is also located in your region, full of recovs (which will most likely only increase due to the new loot in the Lighthouse), and hardly any below average or even average players will bother to play because its not worth the time and frustration. With that said, bad connection quality is still the number one issue with pvp, maybe it will get sligthly better when more people play again and some playlists are removed, but i’m not getting my hopes up. As of now, almost every lobby has a player or players that don’t take damage properly, and it makes no sense at all that you allow players that are lagging so badly that they teleport all over the map to stay in the match. Good connection should be king, but it seems completely opposite in this game. Even if the expansion has basically no pvp content at all, i am not buying it until i actually see some of that ”renewed focus in pvp”, so far there has been basically none.

You need to help 140s in the damage department. You completely removed 150s which was barely competitive against 600 rpm autos. So now 150s don't exist and 140s got nothing but a slight range buff and now we don't even get the lightweight buff which is far better than adaptive intrinsic perk. They need the two head one body shot kill.
-
Sorry just gotta say this. My first thought when seeing the adept weapons was, “these literally look like a nerf gun version of the existing weapons”. Honestly it’s pretty funny to me, and also makes me wish there would just be a pure black shader to cover up the nerf gun aesthetics on them if I ever got them.
-
Literally missed the entire mark on arbalast and partially in snipers. Do you even play the game??
-
2 RepliesWell, best dig the sunshot out of the vault. It’s the only HC that will remotely compete with 600 autos now. Good going, Bungie.
-
2 RepliesSo no refreshes on the trials weapons just making them adept? Kinda annoying
-
Ok i like the changes to hand cannons but you've made lunas howl and not forgotten COMPLETELY useless now. Now, you'll actually be hindering yourself to use them over other handcannons due to the nature of the perk

https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/49676
I don’t know, to me these changes don’t look fun, and adept weapons look like incentive for more cheating and more paid recovs in trials. If more substantial changes don’t come it looks like the return of the shotgun/HC or shotgun/600AR meta and that means I’m only going to be interested in playing the campaign and dropping it again. There is a lot more to see so there is plenty of opportunity to change my mind, but that’s my first reaction to this TWAB.

All the tuning changes look great to me :) See you Starside with Stasis and the Darkness ;)
-
The idea of no ability balance, until we have had the game and ran the testing for you, has me extremely nervous of buying!
-
Hate to double post but this season was for the sandbox, for pve and pvp was extremely fun. I was hoping beyond light would but something like it. Beyond light already showed all cutscenes, visually stunning but all it’s gonna be is a pretty picture
-
Yeahhhhh sandbox changes aren’t convincing me to buy beyond light either
-
I've read through this pile of crap with 0 enthusiasm. Numbers, numbers. You guys are really clueless.
-
24 RepliesGreat so the only viable HCs now kill slower in pvp, making autos even more dominant. good job
-
2 RepliesWhat is the point of nerfing weapons that are going to be sunset at the end of the season?
-
3 RepliesEdited by Telestopher: 10/22/2020 11:01:30 PMHonestly this balance patch is pathetic. It takes them 5+ months to balance weapons and this is all we get? Nerf 150's, ignore other auto subfamilys, ignore subs (sidearms are just clearly better), ignore a couple bad pulse families, ignore non high-impact fusions, ignore some exotics, and ignore pvp issues like swordpeaking and special weapon ammo economy. It's just disappointing to see them constantly show little effort to improve pvp. I would be cool if sandbox update came every 6-8 weeks but 5+ months for just this??!! It takes them sooo long to fix obvious overpowered and underpowered weapons and armor or subclasses. I wish they would just really dedicate a team to really out effort into pvp. It's the response time that really gets me. I'm not saying the changes are bad, im saying they are not enough for how long we have to wait.
