Hey, hey, hey now! It's kind of an unwritten rule that you don't ask questions about the logic behind a video game's story. You have to remember that most developers are working with writers who wouldn't last 5 minutes in the war room of a day time soap opera.

1 ReplyIt’s called the Prison Wallet....

Variks was such a good warden , he gave them weapons because they had nowhere to go , maybe he told them if they beat the guardians they will be free lol Which brings up another lore plot hole, If Variks couldn’t stomach Skolas violence, he sure sent a lot of prisoners to slaughter against us

Ever heard of a rubber glove and lube?
-
Sharpened tootbrushes and the likes?
-
And where do thralls carry the ammo that they drop when killed?
-
They picked them up. The Prison of Elders is like the ancient coliseums.
-
Quodron smuggled them in.

1 ReplyRemember that in D1 prison of elders all of them were armed lmao
-
I imagine their guns were in a vault?
-
They've always had guns there. The prison is just so secure that it doesn't matter what weapons the prisoners have. The only reason they escaped was because they were allowed to anyway.

Smuggled in by their partners on conjugal visits? Carved out of soap? The guards weren't paying attention to what the prisoners were making in the machine shop courses designed to rehabilitate prisoners with new skills? I know, I just replayed the Heroic version of this mission last week and that immediately came up in my mind too. Worst maximum security prison ever.
