So a lot of stuff getting removed vaulted etc. What are you doing with this function? Removing it? Cool tell us then. Not removing? What are you doing with it? That thing has been there for ages and you are not doing anything with it.
If it’s not getting updated just remove it so we can save 100mb storage space on ps5.

3 RepliesJust like Destiny 2, Guided Games had potential that was never realised because Bungie didn't have a clue what to do with it.
-
7 RepliesI still love the "Beta" tag attached to it, lol
-
Bungie forgot it existed after season 1
-
It's year 4 and the game's still shit
-
Lmao, remember when they had that shill lady come onstage and talk about how amazing and all the things they were doing for guided games?

12 RepliesGuided games will never really take off without more players willing to be the guide. I'm not complaining, I can't really blame someone who doesn't want to use their playtime to babysit morons like me. I still think the game would benefit from MM in more activities more than a guided game feature.. I know this has been argued since 2014, but I'm not giving up: Players who don't want to match with randoms wouldn't be affected at all. This part is why I don't understand why so many are so adamant about keeping MM out for the rest of us. It's like being mad about am elevator in a building. You can still take the stairs all you want. But those who can't walk as well anymore still have a chance to go up a floor. Those who want to give the raid a shot but for whatever reason are too anxious or apprehensive about reaching out to other players actually have a chance to raid. Would more teams fail? Absolutely, but I guarantee that many players will get farther in a raid than they ever have... Past the director screen... As people try and fail, more people would at the very least gain experience, and as we collectively improve at each encounter, more players would get to experience a Destiny raid. As it is now, a laughably large chunk of players haven't ever raided in a franchise where the end game basically revolves around the raid/lair/dungeon format. Again, lots will fail. There will be disorganized and dysfunctional teams. Just like in many LFG matchups, the main difference is that we didn't waste 20-40 minutes looking for a team that potentially won't get past the first encounter anyway. You can balance this out by simply requiring a higher power level for a MM raid, just like with the attempt at guided games. And Bungie could still reward those who want to help others, possibly with an extra drop if you're the only one who's completed the raid in your party.... Just an example, not a solid suggestion... So yeah, ditch GG and just open up MM. Pretty please?

Thats Destiny 2 in a nutshell. "It's year [x] and [x activity] is still pointless." It's why I now just say the entire game is pointless wasted potential.
-
What they need to do is remove this and add crossplay. We need to talk about crossplay.

2 RepliesGG is the best example of how stubborn Bungo really is. No explanation needed.

I've never once successfully used Guided Games. It searches for ages and on the rare occasion it actually finds a team, they leave immediately before we can even begin.
-
I've used guided games as a guide 18x (once in last wish and 17x in EOW)... 16 people didn't have a mic. Of those 16, 3 people didn't speak any english at all, making communication impossible. Also only 2 of those people actually seemed interested in learning the raid and asked questions, the rest wanted to just be carried through it.

1 ReplyThey should put Guided Games in a separate node on the director. When you click on it, you’ll get a list of players looking for a guide or seekers for different activities. Give increased drops, xp, and brightdust to make it more desirable. An emblem in not enough as a reward.

2 RepliesThat's one of my biggest issues with Bungie Vaulting content. Instead of building on something and giving it more purpose, they're just removing it from the game. The Menagerie is a perfect example. They could change up the loot pool. They could change up the Runes. They could add new encounters. They could come up with new bosses. But no. They're just removing the Menagerie entirely. Bungie tries to justify Vaulting by saying the game is getting too big, but really it's just an excuse not to come up with new innovations for old content so we stop asking them about it.

2 RepliesA little background on GG. It was created by a Bungie employee named M.E. Chang, she said as a female gamer she was often bullied using traditional LFG’s so she wanted to create an LFG “ safe space “.

I have to agree. There had been weekends where I thought it would be fun to do a raid and I’ll just do the guided game thing and I just say there. Never worked. It’s a brilliant idea but it doesn’t need to be streamers it needs to be people that wanna do it because they care. They also should be given a rank on an emblem for every successful completion with no complaints. These emblems should be basic at first but the more stars you get added to it the rarer and most desirable in the entire game. If they lose their temper or get a bad review they get knocked down a peg. Eventually you go from bronze, to silver to gold to platinum status. Once you reach that bungie should recognize you in the game or personally award you with a limited collectible. People wanna help but they don’t wanna not be appreciated. Hire me bungie and I’ll bridge the gap between y’all because y’all have no idea how to communicate with normal people. Hell I’ll come do it for free for 6 months and then go from there. I have money saved. There are so many things you can do to keep players happy that doesn’t cost a whole lot of money. Hit me up bungie. Covid got me doing nothing anyway besides keeping my parents safe. My neighbors will watch my house. Let’s do this

Brought this up in a SNTR discussion. It's still in beta(4 years later.)

2 RepliesYe its busted. The stupid thing is, im in a really strong raiding clan, but sometimes we are a man short due to timezones. Everytime we que up to try pick a guy up in guided games, we get nobody. Last night we had 5 of us for GOS, we are all highly experienced with the enlightened seal, we went into guided games trying to get one guy, any guy. We could have carried and taught. But no luck after 20 minutes lol. We ended up badgering a 6th clan mate who didnt even need the loot to hop on and jump in with us. So someone who may have needed it missed out. Needs a major rework.

Guided games works fine. There's just no incentives. If anyone really wants to raid, they'll use the find fireteam app. Most of you guys prefer playing solo anyway as evident from the forums demanding freelance activities.
-
3 RepliesI feel it would work better if they added chat box to console So many destiny LFG users don’t want to use the mic (sometimes I don’t cuz I have loud background noise) Please add chat box destiny. It would be so helpful for us console users.
-
1 ReplyIt could have worked. The only thing that had to be done was lower the minimum amount of players willing to guide to one.
-
1 ReplyMy clan thought we'd see if anyone wanted help in a raid a few weekends back, loaded it up and sat there waiting for someone to join for about 20 mins till we thought sack it, used the xbox lfg instead and was raiding within 5 mins. Wish more people used it as it could be a good tool! I've tried seeking in the past too and it gave me a wait time of an hour.... Lol not sitting on that screen doing nothing for an hour! They need to make it run in the background so you get an alert when the fireteam is ready to be joined.
-
19 RepliesJust add Optional Matchmaking across the board and be done with it.
-
Bump for common sense and visibility
-
4 RepliesA handful of people still use it, I actually used it a few weeks ago and that's actually how I found the clan I'm currently in, the problem is that people are so apprehensive about it because they think they're gonna get paired with some slack jawed goober. Thing is I've come across more mouth breathers on LFG sites than anywhere else, cause with Guided Games the the guides are always in a clan and they've ran the raid countless times, with LFG it's a bunch of randoms who've never met one another and there's always ALWAYS three people trying to take the lead of the raid. I'd rather sit in the GG que then beat my head against the wall called LFG

Replace the letters guided game with matchmaking, bungie!!!!!
