From the TWAB:
"Starting in Season 12, the Last Wish, Garden of Salvation, and the upcoming Beyond Light raid armors will now drop with a fifth, dedicated armor mod socket that is exclusively for the mods related to that raid.
Last Wish and Garden of Salvation armor acquired prior to Season 12 will not have this dedicated armor socket, but will still be able to use the mods related to that raid in the new Legacy armor mod socket.
Anti-Taken mods from Last Wish will only function in the Last Wish raid.
Anti-Hive mods from the Leviathan Raid will be deprecated.
Anti-Fallen raid mods from Scourge of the Past will be deprecated."
So let me summarize. You decide with your big brains that you're going to sunset half the content of the game (content that we've paid to access already and you're now taking away from us, mind you), and make a big announcement "hey we're going to be getting rid of these things, these raids, etc. So do them now, and we'll make them farmable, and get ready for a new expensive expansion." So us dutiful guardians go out, and farm and farm and farm and get ready for beyond light... For you to announce that you are depreciating the mods and armor sets that we just spent all that time, and effort and incredible amounts of resources upgrading just to be ready for beyond light, *33 days* before it drops, after we've been grinding for how long? 120 ish days? I don't know, I don't remember anymore.
You two faced lying SOBs, what a stab in the back. You announce this shit at the start or you don't do it at all. Your timing is abysmal, and your reasoning IS AWFUL. It sets apart the "haves and the have-nots". RIGHT, IT SHOULD. I should be rewarded for spending time and effort in your game. Why do you constantly decide being an experienced veteran player is something you're going to take a dump on. God, I hate you, bungie. It's so bad, that it's a cliche that everyone hates bungie. The only response I've seen that is remotely not negative is response to this change is "well you know how bungie is", and how sad is it that your players distrust you so badly they just expect you to shit on them. Learn to respect your player base.

34 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 10/9/2020 12:27:16 PMTantrums stop being cute once you're able to speak in complete sentences. Never mind write in paragraphs. Those mods needed to go away. They were relics ----band-aids, really----from vanilla Destiny 2 and the dual-primary weapon system. They were a means to try to get power to us when our Guardians were ridiculously underpowered, the gear system couldn't get power to us any other way in order to make playing the game more enjoyable. ...and fixed weapon rolls/cosmetic armor broke any semblance of a PVE end game. They have no place in the game as it is right now---they are THAT overpowered----and have LONG overstayed their welcome. The mods that are attached to raids that will remain in the game will be contained to those raids. The ones attached to raids that are being vaulted, are being turned off. This should have happened a year ago.

Lol poor baby having a tantrum

yOu TwO fAcEd LyInG SOBS! Someone get this goof a happy meal.

Personally I think it's a positive thing for the game in the long run that these are being removed.

12 RepliesI just assumed the raid mods wouldn’t last, they’re just too good. Never get attached to anything in this game, or you’ll be as upset as you currently are. Taking it WAY too personal. It’s a video game that is constantly changing.
-
Timing may be bad for the announcement, but let's be real. Reasoning is solid. If a singular mod can change content (GMs, solo gungeons, etc.) from challenging to a complete joke with infinite heavy at almost no cost, that's an issue.

1 ReplyIdk this seems like overreacting to me. Yes they could have been more transparent but I really think theres no harm in just getting new gear when it comes out. I have my curated, fully masterworked armour builds and I’ll keep them for PvP but for PvE? Where stats really don’t matter at all? Just get new armour when it comes out. Preparing for the NEW expansion by getting 1-2 year old armour just seems ridiculous.
-
The less time you invest in this game, the better for you. They’ve made it clear they don’t give a shit how much you invest in it
-
It is quite sad to see.
-
You make it sound as if the armor from the raids are still going to be relevant after the new Raid drops. !SPOILER! it won't. And so what if we're losing anti enemy mods? Taking charge and High Energy Fire is more than anyone will ever need for any PvE content.

Bungie havent cared or respected its playerbase since the reach days They're one of the worst devs around
-
Hope you enjoy being weaker because bungie logic think weak=strong the fanboy comments are the best evidences for how far mental disorder has gone in our would

1 ReplyPeople ran those mods?? At least outside of taken armaments. I know taken armaments had some use.
-
1 ReplySee Bungie shits on the hard core players and the casual players equally. Lol. Don't give them money. They can't program. The don't have any more neat ideas left. They can't figure out how to balance the pvp after 7 years. They don't respect any ones time.

I hate Bungie more than my neighbors. A$$holes

4 RepliesEdited by OdinsKnight101: 10/9/2020 1:28:28 PMArmor mods: - Weapon based mods are neutral - Mods that require elemental activation are no longer tied to the worn piece but all worn pieces. - Enhanced mods deprecated, normal mods buffed - Some mods have been shifted around - 5th mod slot for raid gear obtained after beyond light. - Anti Taken mods will only work in last wish, anti-other faction mods will be deprecated because there are people who will no longer be able to acquire them making it imbalanced for them and was what helped make the Reckoning as awful as it is. - Currant armour Exotics will receive an additional mod socket for CWL and WC - Armour from season 8 - 11 will accept all mods from that time period. I know you are upset but transparency will always be a double edged sword.

1 ReplyEdited by Floppypilot4: 10/9/2020 1:12:31 PMWell the only thing you can do now is just move on. Yes, I know the timing sucks, but there's not much you can do about it and they were pretty overpowered.

Indeed this do be a bruh moment

20 RepliesWhilst I think this mod deprication is a bit much. You didn't pay for the content. You paid for a license to Play the content. I wish people would read the T&C instead of Blindly accepting.
