Outriders a new upcoming looter shooter has some killer ideas on armor. I think they would do very well in making armor actually matter in D2.

2 RepliesYeah if only armour had stats that could have random ranges and values that could be optimized and min maxed to fit certain builds and play styles along with powerful season perks to create builds. Oh and maybe add a system that will incentivize getting new armour every couple seasons..... Oh wait that’s exactly how it is. So what do you mean?

I mean. Between stats and mods, I’d say armor definitely matters.

Destiny is stuck in the past. They didn't evolve fast enough to keep pace with the new industry standards Outriders looks good, not great, but the game keeps getting more and more polished every time they show a new item. So I think the potential is there, I'm just not 100% sold due to the whole anthem debacle. What I Do like about outriders is its focus on class setups and character customization. So I will most likely give it a chance

Hope it plays better than it looks So far all I’ve seen glass canon Gears skin with lame enemies that are bullet sponges Be nice if the game landed well though, be great to have something else to play with ones dwindling clan mates

1 ReplyI hope people love it and it does well cause I like the studio people can fly is a great developer, however this game basically looks like gears of war and im just not too stoked about it. Im still waiting on a real Destiny replacement, Im hoping Witchfire does it.

All I want is to be able to increase my armour's stats over time, so that I don't have to farm literally thousand sof pieces of gear for the exact stat values I need. The current system just wastes player time and goodwill.

3 RepliesIt's 3rd person and looks a bit cheesy. Don't get me wrong I prolly get it, but it's hard to say if it will be worth the $60. So many of these games are hamster wheel it really kills the fun.

Im actually interested in Outriders now. Devastator looks great and super fun to play. I will still play Destiny though 😎

Bungo cannot do that for Destiny without some serious changes. Outriders is an action RPG first, unlike Destiny, which is an FPS. That said, I hope Outriders can out-do the rest of these looter shooters. I mean, the developers are actually advertising the game with tons of actual information and gameplay. That alone makes them stand out.

Looks cool, it'll probably need some time to develop into something worthy of playing long term. I'm not a fan of third person shooters anyway, so probably not for me.
