After reading the new TWAB, I became concerned that I will not be able to get the Chronicler seal despite the fact that I only have Dreaming City lore to get for it - 5 more Truth to Power & 1 Marasenna (Which I am planing on getting next week)
My question is this - are there plans to make Truth to Power available weekly, or are Bungie just going to lock it out despite players not knowing about the vault in time to achieve the requirements?

I'm in the same situation. Hope Bungie do something.

I only have Dreaming City lore left too. It's going to suck if it's unobtainable, but it's been 2 years, that's kind of on me.

The truth to power lore book was absolutely ridiculous. It should have been available one page every week once we stopped getting to meet Mara in her throne world.

There is a glitch where you can get 2 every 3 weeks. The week before the strongest curse week, pick up the weekly bounty from Petra, and complete it. Turn it in and get the item to activate the Oracle. Then get on before reset, and go to the Oracle. A few minutes before reset, summon the chest, DO NOT OPEN THE CHEST. Wait until the weekly reset (you will know when a new adventure notification pops up on your screen), then open the chest. You should get a lore card, then do the Petra and get the bounty and do it again, getting 2 every 3 weeks. Obviously if you haven't started yet, you won't be able to do it, but this will get you a couple extra ones if you need them. Here is a video that explains it as well https://youtu.be/7AoxLs89uiM

3 RepliesDon't fall for the FOMO. It'll return once they're done reworking the crap they're removing.

imagine caring about this

3 RepliesYou could have had this title for a year now, can't blame bungie if players leave stuff to the last minute!
-
13 RepliesIt was obtainable for 2 years. Since content associated with it is going away (like past seals), it’s going away. There was more than enough time to get it. If you didn’t put the time in to get it (regardless of when you started playing destiny), that’s on you. They won’t be speeding up dreaming city cycles, so if you don’t have enough time to finish it, it’s your loss.
-
Don't worry, they will vault all titles also.

two more rotations and i'll get it 🎉🥳🎉

8 RepliesThis should really be addressed. I started going for Chronicler because I assumed that if I completed all of the lore triumphs that are part of content getting vaulted, that I could still earn the others in BL. They're really pulling a fast one on us. Looks like my grinding might be for nothing. :(

2 RepliesI'm also concerned. They said chronicler would no longer be earnable... So regardless of what destinations are getting vaulted, the title itself is no longer achievable. As a new light player (Got destiny like week 1 of shadowkeep or smth when it came to steam), I have only had 11 months to play the game. Whilst it is technically enough time to get the seal (About 9 months), I hardly knew time-gated seals were a thing, let alone chronicler until like last season. Hell, I only really finished all my quests (Exotic, pinnacle, story etc.) this season. I have 2/11 stories for truth-to-power for chronicler and all the other books (9/10 for the seal). Seems a little unfair that I would have had to start picking these up 4 months into playing the game to have it by the end of the season... Would be great if we could get a confirmation or something on whether they might make the books weekly from the oracle engine chest or even just make chronicler technically achievable next season or something?

Edited by thatdudeEd54: 9/4/2020 4:30:34 AMIm surprised you didnt even see this coming since sunsetting was announced. That was the first thing i did. If you were genouinly concerned about aquiring Chronicler or any timelocked title that has anything to do with any sunsetting destinations, then you would automatically should have prioritized those first. Hell Ive even made multiple posts about these titles going away months ago, but nobody took them seriously Not two mention its been like 2 years since Chronicle came out. To help you out hopefully, there is a way to get two truth to power lore books every 3 weeks instead of 1. All you need to do is have an Offering of the Oracle ready to go the week before the Curse week. Find out when is the weekly reset for your time zone, and log in like 30 min before hand, just to be safe. Go to the Dreaming City and head over towards that tower where you normally would insert the Oracle to enter the Queens Court. Dont insert it yet. Just eait around there until after the weekly reset and youll get a notification about new weekly actovities available. After that insert it and you will get a free Truth to Power lore. Leave to Orbit and Complete the Oracoe Bounty again, head over to the same tower and turn it in for a second time and you will get another. This will cut down the time youll need to collect all the Truth to Power Lore books by half, assuming your only missing like 4, cause realisticly you can only get around 4 or 6 lore tabs this eay before the season ends. Like I said if you saw this coming Chronicler would have been yours

1 ReplyI really hope they come up with some solution for us people stuck partway through Truth to Power. I'll be ultra disappointed if all my work goes to waste when I only have 5 lore entries left :'(

Definitely sucks that they're making that seal unobtainable, really think bungie should've made it clear as soon as they announced content vaulting. Honestly would be nice if they could figure out a way to keep that seal available for anyone still needing it (like keep it visible to anyone who has all the other lore books done)

4 RepliesDid Bungie say they were going to Vault Dreaming City?

1 ReplyDreaming City is not being vaulted. As long as you have the lore stuff from the places that are being vaulted, you should be good.
