Cancelled Pre-Order - I don’t trust you Bungie
After the Live Stream promoting their next 3 expansions I was hyped and immediately pre-ordered like an idiot.
Trials changes were after a major TWAB that was supposed to heavily fix things, it is worse lol.
Sunsetting Weapons - I gave Bungie the benefit of the doubt but when I saw my Gnawing Hunger as an exact reissue I lost it!
Sunsetting Gear - No reason for this at all
Solstice Armor promised to be 2.0 ready was immediately useless.
Mods and elemental affinity - Trying to find which mod goes on which piece of armor, let alone the proper affinity, is beyond frustrating.
Not a peep from Bungie on Sunsetting or Trials and every time they touch something, it gets worse. I have lost what little trust I had in Bungie and until I see major changes, not hear about them, I will not be preordering anything.

If only more people would wake up and realize that Bungie's greed is insurmountable. Congratulations on breaking free.

I never ordered in the first place. Neither did anyone else in my household. We have ZERO interest in more bounties and more RNG. Nobody's interested in grinding out endless nonsense for a piece of candy that will either be nerfed or retired in 90 days. No thanks.

1 ReplyBeyond Light doesn’t seem like a major expansion. 1 new destination and from the screenshots Europa looks like Moon with snow on ground. I expected Europa to have weather effects like snowing but no it’s just snow on ground with no actual snowing effects. 1 dungeon and 1 raid. They are adding VOG in year 4 because 1 raid in an entire year was super boring and they cannot make 2 new raids in a year without Activision. Story seems super lackluster from the trailer. Oh stranger shows up there is a pyramid ship on Europa and you still won’t be fighting against Doritos. What are you fighting against? Fallen. lol. Somehow scourge of the past boss is in Europa as well because reskin is easy. Darkness subclasses look like just a bit tweaked versions of supers we already have. I dunno man everything they have shown so far looks like Shadowkeep but with snow on ground.

At this point you must be out of your mind to trust Bungie. Seriously guys and girls.. it’s been almost SIX YEARS and they still can’t get things right. I gave up hope as soon as D2 dropped. Was totally baffled by the direction they chose to go. Since then it’s just been a total shit show. I’ve just been waiting for something as epic as The Taken King. I always blamed things on Activision, but look where we are now. Until Bungo gets their heads out of their asses and legitimately address what the hell is happening in this game, I see no point in investing. Eververse. Armor 2.0. Affinity. These wacky seasonal mods. Sunsetting guns. Sunsetting armor. No more factions. Actually providing content instead of this seasonal XP grind crap. Guardian games was a total joke. Now their removing SO MUCH CONTENT. Not just activities but planet destinations. The currency is a joke. Constantly catering to streamers for twitch views. They forgot what we loved about the game. It’s a damn shame. 😕

Man I'll give you an upvote. I didn't pre-order as better games by better companies have my eyes right now and as far as I'm concerned my time with Destiny is over since the game continues to get worse. I do offer this advice never buy into hype especially when it comes to Bungie. It's the only thing they're good at these days.

2 RepliesI cancelled it too after the garbage past two seasons! I cant in good conscience give them $70. BTW in other countries they are only charging $20. I have lost faith in Bungie and considering sunsetting the game.

Sadly, just cancelled my pre-order too. Loved Destiny, but will not play a game with such a flawed power grind and duplicate rewards. Sunsetting never really bothered me as all we do in the game is play for gear drops anyway. Even then I pre-ordered last week in the hope of things to come. But the changes to crucible matchmaking have taken all the fun out of pvp for me. IB is ruined, the only mode left at my level is survival which is full of account recovs and cheaters. And don’t even bother with the ‘good riddance’ and ‘bye’ bs comments. I have always been polite and considerate on these forums, which is more than can be said for many of the toxic elitists who constantly slam any opinion they don’t like.

I’m done giving Bungie more of my money. Destiny sucks for me cause the power fantasy is gone (thanks to PvP..) Outriders Is on my radar and I cannot wait for that cause not only is the power fantasy there, but I get to keep all my Content I pay for etc. Live Service Games need to die if I’m going to be completely honest. I want a 100% complete experience that games like Borderlands is, how Outriders and Cyberpunk2077 is going to be. Will there be drought from after we do all we want in there till the next DLC Drops for it? Yes, but at least it will be another complete experience. Seasonal Model sucks. Bungie needs to go back to the DLC Model.

1 ReplyThen you have all those people saying: Destiny 2 still have a lot of players! It was the second best selling IP! Facts is Destiny is not even in the most streamed game list, sometimes not in the top 20. Compared to other top tier games, GTA, COD, Fortnite, Destiny is very tiny and with new contenders and the PS5 I hope the Franchise keeps hitting stable numbes so that the keep making awsome content.

10 RepliesWhen a company comes out and says our game is just too hard to work on for our employees? I wouldn't support them with preorders either. Preorders show a company that you trust them to make good quality games. Bungie has lost that. Since D2 they have lackluster ideas and some of the worst decisions I have ever seen. It's like Destiny suffers from dementia or bipolar syndrome. It can't figure out what it wants to be and it forgets what it started out as. Hint to those in charge at Bungie, If your employee's can't handle the work? get new employees or better employee's. From all your live streams? I can think of a few who appear to be very unprofessional.

I won't be ordering at all.. Sunset Bungle once and for all. They don't listen. Luke Smith is the biggest idiot to date be at bungle and content has sucked ass for soooooo long. Sunsetting always has been a bad idea and making us regrind for the same dam weapons just solitifies that i was right to know up front bungle wouldn't do it for any reason other than reskinning all the shit we already have. They aren't even reskinning it. They are so blatent it is ridiculous.

3 RepliesFirst of all, I agree with a lot of what your complaints are about (Solstice gear being useless and the mods). However, these are issues that have been around since Shadowkeep so buying into a new expansion and season of the arrivals is more your fault than Bungie's. Sunsetting is not as big an issue as most people are making it out to be. Imagine trying to create new weapons without breaking the game that people will want when you have Mountaintop and Recluse. Sunsetting is to prevent power creep and I would not mind new weapons coming to the forefront. This is coming from someone who busted their ass to get mountaintop pre-nerfed requirements, okay so I DID MY TIME! I miss the excitement of going into a new raid want cool new guns. Didn't really get that with Garden of Salvation cause what I had on day 1 was already the best. Also with the seasons, they don't really matter that much as they are aimed for the more hardcore of the community with some new guns and armor but Arrivals has been the best season for free to play players since most of the content is free (even the damn dungeon is free). As long new the expansion is the quality and size of Forsaken and not Shadowkeep it is worth the money. Trials of Osiris does not matter until Bungie fixes the issue with cheaters in PVP. I played once the first week and the rewards are not worth the trouble. What I would like to see from Bungie is the transmogrification for all armor in the game ( I want to have the looks of my EP and Prestige Leviathan armor with better stat rolls). An elimination of elemental mods. I want to customize my armor to suit different playstyles or have a vast decrease in the requirements material for masterworking armor.

I honestly just don't feel like grinding 200 power levels next season with the current leveling system. Will prolly watch someone do the playthrough as I'm mildly interested. New powers will be cool. Too much other crap in the game currently for me to justify spending 50 bucks next season. Got hype baited into purchasing season of arrivals and wow. That was the wrong choice...mebbe will pick up fall dlc when it eventually goes on sale.

Another evil EA or Bethesda in waiting. I just do not understand removing planets and raids from the game. I've come back from 7 months away from the game and I understand why new players don't stay. missing key mods and weapons. the game should welcoming new players and allowing them previous key items you need to change and grow the community and yes you can make lots of money as well. look at capcom with MHW or CD project red. there games are fair on the players old and new
