I wanted to come and start playing destiny 2 again, but the system for linking my accounts its very messed up. I've been working on linking my accounts for the past hour and none of it makes sense or even works. I accidentally linked the wrong steam account to my battle.net account, and now i can not unlink my steam account. I have looked through the forums and have only found out that once i link my steam account the wrong way, then i have to link it to a brand new steam account. I have tried to even use the new steam account, but even that doesn't work. So now I am left to not playing the game at all. I dont think that I should have to put this much time into linking accounts just to play the game. If i could get any help with this that would be nice.

Edited by ADragonWithin: 5/11/2020 12:50:09 PMIf you didn't yet perform a Migration using your Battle.net ID, you can unlink the Steam ID from your Bungie.net profile Settings and then link the correct one, and then perform the Migration. - If you did already perform the Migration, then you're out of luck. Once a Battle.net ID has been Migrated successfully to a Steam ID, both of those IDs are permanently tied together for the sake of the Migration. Neither can be used for a Migration with a different account. If you linked your Battle.net ID to the wrong Steam ID, you could have changed the linked Steam ID prior to performing the Migration so it went to the correct one, but as you didn't do so, your characters and licenses are on the Steam ID that you told the system you wanted to use. They will not be moved from one Steam ID to a different Steam ID, and you cannot use the same Battle.net ID for another Migration to a different Steam ID. If you want to access those characters, you'll need to play on the Steam ID that you told the system to put them on.

Did you perform the PC Move function after you linked the two accounts together? If you did then nothing can be done, your Battle.net D2 information has been irrevocably transferred to the wrong Steam account. However, if all you did was link the two accounts in Accounts and Linking, but as of yet hadn't performed the PC Move function then all you need to do is log in to bungie.net with your battle.net credentials, go back to accounts and linking and click remove next to the wrong Steam account, and then on the same page click the link button next to Steam to add the correct one. Once done, head to the PC Move page to perform the migration. Again, this only works if you had not previously done the PC Move function.

pc move is a one time deal. if you 'accidentally' pick the wrong accounts it cannot be undone. once you've linked a battle.net to steam, both are 'spoken for' so to speak. not trying to be a jerk but really, it's on you. how do you 'accidentally' link wrong accounts? that's something that people should be extremely careful with, reading every word on the screen each step of the way to make sure and verify that the accounts are correct before clicking the final 'OK'.

hey mate, similar issue in here... I had two different Battle.net accounts and I accidentally linked the one that has not the save data for Destiny, and now I cannot link again with the correct one... Any solutions from Bungie/Steam?? Have they contacted you?? I also wrote to Steam support... Let's see if there is any solution for this...
