Antaeus wards literally worse than D1 blink

13 Replies😂 It’s hilarious how you kids continuously say an exotic sucks for over a year and a half until youtubers suddenly say it’s OP and now that’s al you see on here.

1 ReplyI’m far from a good pvp player... but in Rumble awhile ago after about two or three deaths I’d just hop backwards and shoot them in the face at the end of their slide. If they tried to slide corners and shotty I’d just jump straight up and again shoot down on their head. Not perfect but I died a lot less after I started doing that. I’d say the guy that was using them was pretty decent but not a PvP god. I think I played three matches with him in the lobby and he won two I think and I won one... most everybody else wasn’t too far behind us.

28 RepliesAnyone defending these saying they arent a problem is either a titan who crutches off of them or an ignorant bot at the bottom of the sbmm ladder.
-
When they are done nerfing that, they will need to start working immediately on Synthoceps. Then they should take the person that made these and OEM and have them conceive of Exotics for the other classes.
-
I played quite a bit of "PVP" last night on my "Hunterd" (to complete bounties of course.) Came across 8 out of 10 Titans rocking these. What a f****** joke! They only bother me on the map "Anomaly" because I don't use shotguns and only bust out my Erentil if their is too many apes. Nevertheless, I don't believe I died more then a couple times to those chumps thanks to jumping super high into the atmosphere with my trusty sidearm.

first was oem and now this? something seems off here maybe titans are brainless apes who need every help they can get https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJ--TzBXGhc&t=379s heh

1 Replyis there a good web page that actually shows the crucible stats per class for the current season? before people cry for a nerf, its important to also see how individual classes perform

Edited by Izzi: 5/5/2020 2:30:27 PMAs a Titan main...
Yea these things are busted. It's just not fun to go against these in any PvP setting lol
11 Replies.5 seconds of immunity is too much. All the people saying counter it are such bad players statistically that’s it’s laughable. .5 seconds means they’ll slide around the corner with whatever they need to to kill you. If the radar shows me you’re far-ish I’m sliding with my Summoner out and I’ll be half way to my TTK before you can do anything about it. If you’re close I’ll do it with my shotgun or Bastion for a basically free kill cause you legit can’t do anything to stop me but run... if you run I’ll just kill you while you run. If you fake run and turn around I slide again for immunity. I see a super? I run RIGHT AT IT. Shotgun melee on bottom tree striker for an easy clean up that THEY can’t do anything about. Antaeus is broken. There is no baiting it and I can’t understand why bad players think it’s baitable. Maybe in the lobbies they play in where everyone is a potato... but in decent lobbies with players who have their TVs on you aren’t baiting much...

16 RepliesFull damage immunity on demand is not healthy for the PvP sandbox.

12 RepliesThe people downvoting this are the same people who were downvoting nerf posts about OEM on its release. Not that Anteus is anywhere near as potent as pre-nerf OEM, but still. Some people just hate nerfs to the point that logic and any desire to make the game better has left them. In my opinion, exotics that are get-out-of-jail-free cards, give you kills you shouldn't have be doing something you would've done naturally, or punish an opponent for fulfilling their purpose (shooting you) shouldn't exist. That means I don't like pre-nerf OEM, Anteus, or Wormhusk (especially when paired with battery mods). I think if Bungie wants to enhance the neutral game of a class, great. But be smart about it. Enhance jumps. Enhance in-air play. Enhance sprint. Enhance slide. Improve cooldowns. Upgrade grenades. Synergize with abilities. A lot of options. Don't give 100% invulnerability plus the potential to deal damage to someone just for them playing their part and pulling the trigger, AS INTENDED FOR THEM, on a cooldown of like 1.5 seconds. No exotic should EVER punish an opposing player for playing the game. Period. No player should ever be put at a disadvantage because they pulled the trigger first.

A weird comparison but okay.

1 ReplyEdited by Mustafa: 5/5/2020 5:53:13 PMIt's fine... You know... Hunters have the most op subclasses, really good exotics, and Dodge. Titans have decent subclasses, okay exotics, and a good shield. Warlocks have pretty good subclasses, okay exotics, and a rift that takes 3 years to activate. Stop complaining. Let Titans have their fun. Warlocks have no fun. Hunters always have fun...

Theyre gonna nerf the -blam!- out of them lol

141 RepliesEdited by blade329: 5/4/2020 3:23:40 PMIf you guys are getting schooled by someone with that exotic, they are just better than you. This is why I don't have much respect for the PvP crowd. Big bunch of wussies.

Edited by Saski Kojiro: 5/5/2020 4:32:24 PMIs this really what the game needs most?

It makes ape-ing easier. I see people running it in quick play and playing like it’s trials. It’s already the season of the shotgun. That plus shoulder charge. Ugh. I hate anything that can tank supers like arcstriders reflect or captain amercas shield block and leaves plenty of super energy to take one or two more enemies out. Now we’ve got anteus that reflects everything back, then follow up with anything you want. I love titans but this is a slap in the face after the gunslinger nerf. The bottom tree gunslinger gets nerfed because it’s too OP to get ohk with a crit knife throw. We’ll keep the abysmal time it take to load it up though. Because it’s still ohk and way more powerful than shoulder charge with anteus ward. This sheit makes no sense.

5 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 5/4/2020 10:56:16 PMOn the right maps yea down right broken. Cauldron for example. That map they are a menace. If you are unaware they provide FULL DAMAGE IMMUNITY FROM ALL SOURCES WHEN SLIDING. Personal tested examples: Point blank rocket launcher where even the user dies, no damage taken. Telesto stuck on surfaces, no damage taken via direct hit or sliding though them. mountaintop with stick grenades, no damage taken via direct hit or sliding though them. What people do not seem to understand is they give the user DAMAGE IMMUNITY.This creates situation where if the map supports many close quarters combat scenarios(such as Cauldron) you have zero counter play. If you create a item with zero counter play its a problem. They should not provide damage immunity across the board. AoE type effects should still cause damage. I sincerely hope that people do not honestly believe a exotic that provides the user with 100% damage immunity from all sources just for spamming slide is acceptable. If you were unaware that they functioned like this now you know why people are raging at Antaeus Wards. It would literally be more balanced if hunters had the same exotic but damage immunity triggered on dodge. Let that Sink in. A hypothetical exotic that makes hunters 100% immune to every thing would be more balanced. Why? Its governed by the same rules(must be on the ground) but dodge has a cool down timer. Slide does not. Sure sure I am down for titans keeping it if hunters get an exotic that says every time we dodge we are damage immune, sounds fair right?

Nerf warlock exotics while you are at it. That blink exotic is broken af.
-
4 RepliesExotic: - Improves slide. - Invincibility while sliding. - reflect projectiles. - on top off all that... grants super energy when reflexting damage. "Ahh a perfectly balanced exotic. Nothing in here that could further encourage mindlessly aggressive and obnoxious playstyles."

Jesus man just jump.

😂😂😂Here we go.

what we gonna cry about next week? you babies ruin this game!
