Title says it all. This guardian games event has made it even worse than before with medal depositing giving you blue stuff. What is the point of blue drops other than wasting your time dismantling them or clogging up your inventory. Blue rewards serve no purpose and are an utter waste of time
-
I am getting as many blues at max light as legendarys. I would rather delete the legendary for the shards and use the blue for infusion. If they automatically deleted the blues I would not get that opportunity to chose.
-
I mean... I just dismantle mine dueing load screens or activity summaries. Not really a waste of time if it's the only thing to do at that moment.
I'd still like auto-dismantle tho
-
2 RepliesOr create an auto dismantle for anything blue and under your current gear level
-
As useless as blues are, if we didn't get those, we wouldn't get anything lol
-
I can't answer your poll. I don't mind blue drops, I just wish they gave more for dismantling.

Edited by DJ Professor K (Timelost): 4/29/2020 10:18:03 AMI remember about 6 months ago I posted something similar, and while most people agreed, there was always someone that said "bUt wHaT iF wE WaNt tHe BlUeS" They continued this point even when my post was suggesting it would be an option/toggle lol
-
They can program adding new blues to collection before deleting And everybody wins. But no, that would make sense.
-
3 RepliesOptions should be: I don't like free glimmer and weapon parts I know how to manage my items like an adult
-
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND PURE YEESSSSSSSSSS. I've never understood why we keep getting blues. If your're just trying to provide us with mats from dismantling, just give us the damn mats.
-
Give us an option to auto dismantle certain rarity drops This works for literally every level of the game, from beginners all the way to endgame players You don't want greens? Check that box off in the auto dismantler Max light? Already have every single exotic and only want the materials? Check off that box in the auto dismantler
-
It's a good source of materials...where the problem comes in is that some blue armour has higher stat rolls in some categories than legendaries, which shouldn't be happening. So if auto-dismantle is a thing, you might lose out on a good piece of gear. There should be a toggle for it though for the user to decide.
-
Nah keep them in the game but make it an option to auto dismantle, still a good source of weapon parts.
-
I think if you have no room on your character to pick up a blue then it should auto- dismantle and keep the postmaster for more important drops.

3 RepliesHere's the problem... Content is designed to be played over and over. We need constant reward, along with a constant carrot on the stick. Blues were designed to be that constant reward, offering mats and possibly evening your gear levels, with the infrequent legendary drops or tokens being the carrot. HOWEVER, the loot pool is so watered down with trash that the vast majority of legendaries and tokens are largely useless, offering only a material reward, just like blues. BOTH rewards are largely pointless and if you've been playing a while like I have, your material stockpile is just ridiculous. I'm talking nearly 4 stacks of enhancement cores, prisms and shards in the post, 10k+ gunsmith materials, legendary shards in the tens of thousands. Tokens... Who even counts those anymore? With both elements of reward only really giving us more materials, we have nothing to spend the materials on! Bring back weapon or armor re-rolling. Implement large material sinks for real rewards (ie not tribute Hall taxes) like clan spaces, extra vault space, gear you can choose perks on, or hell even a shader you can design in game. While auto dismantling blues would help with some of the tedium, it won't change the fact that the entire loot system is broken and more a slog, than a celebration.
-
Maybe we could ask for a setting allow us to auto dismantle blues so we get the materials but the drops themselves don't show up in the PM or your inventory. The only problem with entire removal of blue drops is some of them maybe be desired such as Aachen in PvP if you don't have a decent sniper. I do agree though maybe capping the drops at a certain LL might be a good idea; but if we're going to get something like this then we should at least ask for the materials to drop instead, I know literally everyone has stacks of materials but just being mindful of newer players.
-
What is the power cap for blues? It’s hard for me to buckle down and mod armor pieces when blues keep dropping slightly higher than all my Legendaries and Upgrade modules aren’t cheap and easy
-
1 ReplyThey do it so u can't amass a million shards. I like 7 of the blue weapons but I would also like to auto dismantle at this point. Or atleast give me a choice by clicking a checkmark to or not to dismantle.
-
Just make gunsmith materials drop in the place of blues after X point where blues aren't useful anymore.
-
2 RepliesHave it as an option you can turn on, beacuse if our max light goes up another 50+ again were gonna use blues to raise our light level.
-
Well those options aren't biasing the poll results at all, so I'll go with neither. I do think blues serve a purpose at the start of each season, so I wish they could make it a toggle to auto-dismantle blues. Use blues to level until you are above their max level, then switch to auto-dismantle.

1 ReplyBungie: “We Heard you, more Tokens & Blue”
-
Bungie: so....more eververse items you want?
-
9 RepliesOkay, let's say they do get rid of them. When does the "get rid of the legendary" start? Because most of them are useless as well.
-
Why are you dismantling rare items when you could be selling them on eBay and making a fortune.
-
Who loves wasting his time hahahaha
-
Dude i use blue drops to upgrade gear at the start of every season. Blues are a general waste of of time following this, and deleting them should be improved. They should not be removed altogether.
