My thoughts on the current state of Destiny 2

This is the most disinterested I have ever been with Destiny 2 And that is coming from someone who still thinks forsaken is the greatest DLC to ever be made for a game. Bungie - My thoughts on the current state of this game. No answers in sight for core game issues such as vendor refresh and no new loot for core gameplay activities to chase. But eververse gets a refresh every season. I usually don’t mind spending a few silver here and there but to have nothing added to the core game is sad. Bounty grinding is the most monotonous gameplay mechanic I have ever seen. I grew disconnected from the game when I have to keep grinding bounties for every single activity. Anything in moderation is good but to have a new seasonal activity completely built around doesn’t help. Before every new DLC meant new strikes and loot to chase now it is more of the same sometime in much more tedious grinds. Basic perks & mods which go away mean I am working towards something that will not be as good as the loot I have now plus it gets worse when the mods go away. End game PvP is filled with cheaters & trials is exactly the same as it was in D1. Complete with the same set of problems. Also no rewards to go for flawless since every one is grinding 3 matches and reset for tokens. Comparisons aside all activities in destiny 1 were so much fun cause you always felt working towards something. Why would I play strikes? Skeleton keys, why play crucible shack had an awesome weapon in rotation, why work on factions guaranteed loot with unique perks. Now? Faction rallies wasn’t something people cared much for but factions we definitely did. I had something to work on, rank up towards. When all the loot is the same in crucible and surprise the loot hasn’t changed in almost a year it gets boring fast Iron banner was easily one of my most iconic and fav game modes in destiny 1. Now all IB is a resin of year 1 with no decent loot to chase. How can we have such a good concept in destiny 1 and then go to what we have in D2. Content is king, forsaken to me symbolizes that. Despite all the problems, if you had some kickass story/loot/progression almost all of this will be forgiven cause we would be too excited to realize this. Now with bare minimum content & a whole host of issues my interest is waning I chose destiny over other games. I put a lot of time and investment to make it my one looter shooter and I feel my investment doesn’t mean anything. I just wonder if there will be a point I just won’t go back. This is as close as I will get to it. But yeah it truly is sad 😔
