• If your having trouble with vault space you need to ask do you truly need everything in your vault. Personally I know I can go into my vault in free up a space but then again I still have about 200 spaces left and I’ve been playing since day 1.

  • They should take the lead of a lot of other FTP games and make it a larger vault for paying customers. Let us buy extra pages, something. I'm tired of going through and prioritizing what gun gets to live and which one has to die for the greater good. I guess it won't matter once they start aging our gear.

    • I literally don't care for anything new anymore because of no space. My one Trials run I deleted everything. Rocket and Scout infused. Titan still hasn't done shadowkeep half my loadouts missing EV pieces because they were expendable and the dust was there for the taking. Just sucks man

    • You have 400 slots. Delete what you don't use! And don't say you actively use 400 guns and armor.

They should get rid of the vault all together. Collections should be able to drop fixed rolls for all weapons. We should have an item like glass needles or the option to reroll fixed rolls for mats or choose a single perk to reroll per attempt (This doesn't need to be cheap.) edit: Or drop guns with all available perks and make us use them to unlock them.

        • I swear if they start selling a "Premium Subscription Service" which expands your vault-space (like other games on the market are doing) I'm gonna... actually, I don't know whether I'll laugh or cry. Maybe both at the same time?

How about this WEAPONRY 3.0 😆 Maybe in D2 - probably in D3 (if it ever gets made) Once we reach a certain status - Bungie could/should DELETE all White/Green/Blue Weapons (levelling up from White to Blue)....earning Weapon Mastery (new to Banshee) Once we reach Legendary Weapon Status (a new thing, earned from kills & gameplay with the White/Green/Blues) You then collect Legendary Weapons Then, very much like the D1 version - A gun drops (let’s use Blast Furnace as an example) ...and instead of having ‘Random Rolls’ - ALL of THAT weapons perks are visible (just like you see on each weapon via Destiny Tracker) and the grind is to completely fill in each circle ⭕️ starting from left to right (Barrel 1st) ....Those in Destiny 1 know that practice (no daft materials) ... simplify currency by using **Glimmer, earning Game Mode Ranking (Zavala/Shaxx/Drifter/Banshee) & some specialist materials (upgrade modules/enhancement cores & Strike/Crucible/Gambit/Gunsmith mats** from their respective vendors) - YES, Banshee gets his mojo back (Armsday - special bounties, test weapons etc....maybe even Fixed but Truly Awesome Curated & Pinnacle Rolls) This enables EVERYONE to put in the time to get whichever perk roll they desire (that’s on that specific weapon) Each perk will need to be 100% filled in order to move down the respective ‘Weapon Perk Tree’ route (as seen in Destiny Tracker) Weapon Perks The tree below shows all possible Curated and Random rolls. Changing them will alter the stats shown above. https://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/db/items/3843477312-blast-furnace And with the same visual & text cue’s to show the improvement of each barrel/magazine/damage perk Filling them all in will simply make it easier to then switch between Outlaw/Ambitious Assassin VS ZenMoment/KillClip (once completed, no cost to swap barrels/magazine/damage perks - just a **material cost to earn/fill the initial circled area around the perk) This will require time & effort, materials and skill (kill clip perk for instance - requires X amount of rapid crit shots to fill) But once you’ve invested this time & effort, it becomes more ‘Your Gun’ (And whilst I know Bungie are planning on retiring weaponry (by making them light capped) Fully Completing each Circle ⭕️, then Master Working that weapon (bringing back infinitely switchable MW mods - for upgrade modules/enhancement cores 👍) opens up the next upgrade (Transcendent....Infused with Light Using Ascendent Shards (& possibly a new Transcend Light upgrade) allows your weapon of choice to transcend the level cap (maybe there has to be a maximum number of Transcendent weapons per Account) Plus, it means once you’ve found that weapon, there’s no need to keep multiple copies (it’s in the Collection) ...if you need to run 2-3 characters and have different weapons, then it’s there to grab Obviously ANY cherished/Fully Perked/Curated/Pinnacle & Transcendent weapons you decided to keep would be on your Guardian(S) or in the Vault (no doubt a much faster vault with Next Gen) Any deleted guns will revert to zero % on perks (and return 100% materials)...but can still be repurchased from Collections (in their vanilla guise) Making it a choice between “I love this weaponry - I’m taking it all the way through the game” versus “This will do for now” This helps Bungie ....they don’t have to ‘balance’ each gun They just have to rework/buff/nerf a perk (which you would think would be easier on next generation systems/engines/netcode) ... maybe even bringing in independent PvP & PvE damage stats (so balance can actually be a thing, not destroy PvE for the sake of someone whining about a Raid weapon in Crucible/Gambit Invasions ....(let’s face it, no one complains in Raids about weaponry doing damage that helps to beat/push through sections) but also make Bungie think about ‘player-base time invested’ versus ‘need to comply with haters’ There’s no need for complaining that someone has more damage with KillClip etc....they put the time/effort/Gunplay/skill into earning that perk - so kudos to them! ——- Anyway It’s an idea in early stages Thoughts?

              • If we ever do get more vault space I bet Bungie will do what lots of other free to play games and mobile games do. They will make it so we have to spend silver to buy small chunks of space. Like an extra 10 slots would cost 100 silver. Then the next 10 slots after that would cost 150 silver. Then 200 for another 10.

              • People that have been playing for a long time see this issue in a strangely disjointed way. We remember the D1 days when we had vaults that held 20 pieces of amour, 20 weapons and 20 general item stacks. At that time Bungie user research lead John Hopson said... "most users don’t have a full vault, and many of those who do are hanging on to rubbish. “Very few people have completely full Vaults, but a lot of endgame players are bumping up against the limits,” he said. “For example, 21% of players who are level 30+ have four or fewer free spaces in their weapon Vaults right now. The armor and general sections are slightly less full for most people, but not by much. “Even at lower levels, there’s a small but measurable fraction of players under level 20 who have full Vaults. You could charitably think of them as ‘collectors’ or uncharitably label them as ‘packrats,’ but some people just flat out like holding onto their stuff.” Obviously the amount of gear in the game has increased greatly since then, but it gives you an idea about the way Bungie uses actual statistics to think about game situations. It's also important to consider that Destiny was designed as a console game and there were hardware considerations behind vault space decisions. That's almost certainly still true for console users. Day one D2 players have seen their vaults increase from 200 slots (hope I remember that right) to the current 500. I know there's lots more stuff to store now with random rolls and armor 2.0, but some things we've learned over the years remain true. You never know when Bungie is going to make something weak into something strong. Nobody saw spike grenade launchers coming. You never know when Bungie is going to change the way we get weapons going forward. Weapons roll with a single elemental affinity now and there is no way to change it. Some of us still have old weapons in our vaults in all three burns. You might be able to replace something and you might not. For those reasons and many more our vaults are constantly getting full and we are constantly having to find things to shard. It sucks because I just know I'm going to look for the specific item I just sharded someday down the road. But another thing us old timers have found out over the years is that for the majority of things you don't. They sit there waiting for their big comeback and it never comes. With some exceptions, if you're not using it all the time now, you probably never will. There's no need to save Exotic weapons you never use. There's no need to save weapons that were poor examples of their archetypes when they were current. There's no need to save anything but the absolute best situational armor 1.0. Exotic and seasonal armor is borderline. There are so many things that aren't worth saving. The problem is that we've been at this so long now that the few exceptions to the rule are filling our vaults. But I don't think more vault space is the answer. It's a ridiculous pain in the ass to manage what we have now. If Destiny is truly going to be a collectors game going forward we need a new solution to manage those collections. And more vault space ain't it. What we really need is an evolution of the Collections system, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. In the meantime, sure, have some more space for your junk if the hardware can handle it. Who's it gonna hurt?

              • They already have issues with the bandwidth consumed when everyone is accessing it... more items will just exacerbate that.

                • Regardless of accusing people of "hoarding" there is one simple fact: Stuff is constantly being added to the game and vault space is frozen in time from a year and a half ago. That is not reasonable. If not actual vault space, they need to at least implement something to address this, like: -Turning old armor skins into universal ornaments. -Making it so you can "store" the roll you choose for each (UNUSABLE, USELESS) "collection" slot. -Make a way that you can "build up" weapons so that they can eventually have multiple choices in each column, eliminating the need for multiple rolls of one weapon. -Improve the RNG so that certain items aren't so insanely low-probability that they can never reasonably be obtained again. Hell, if Bungie wants to cry about the cost and how it "can't be done..." I would literally pay 10 dollars for another 100 slots.

                • And please give us a kiosk for our shaders, sparrow, ships, and shells. We know you can do it, we had them in D1 and they ROCKED! Or just make it so we do not have to pay to take out something we already own like you are already making us do! I'm just surprised you have not moved that whole Inventory section straight to Eververse!
