Since I started intermittent fasting, I’ve lost 40 lbs

No joke. I’m honestly surprised I’ve gotten where I am. I feel better overall and ngl, my confidence has gone up quite a bit.

    • I've plateaued at 200 and can't seem to get a drop any lower than that. I need to start doing cardio but working 13 hour days 6 days a week wipes me out.

    • I’ve been doing this for about 15 years. The biggest mistake I see people make when it comes to fasting is doing it to “lose weight.” That shouldn’t be the priority. Detoxification and being healthy should be the goal. Losing weight happens naturally when that criteria is met. Fasting has to be balanced by replenishing the malnourishment. If you fail to do that, it’s not fasting. It’s an eating disorder. Just my .02 Always a congrats though for anyone looking to be healthy. 👍

              • It works. Makes sense that the human body grew accustom to these shorter windows from being hunter gatherers. Plus the obvious side effects of rewarding your body with food for sitting down constantly. It seems obvious. It's truly remarkable how many health discoveries have been pushed into the mainstream the last 10 years or so. All of them seem like "duh" moments. If you can get yourself down to an eating window try less carbs and remove sugar from your diet. With a proper amount of healthy fats and proteins you'll feel great. Really good combo with the fasting since you can spend a tad more time making your meals. Which usually means you're making a better dish. Food prepping for most items is a quick way to lose a lot of taste. Too many people I know quit on diets over boring food options. Always learn how to cook a good handful of dishes with whatever diet works. If you can't put the time into the food you're not going to put the effort into the diet. At least for most people. I hope more people catch on to this intermittent fasting. Obesity is still quite the issue in North America. Anywhere with access to first world processed garbage anyways.

              • Good for you my man. Don’t forget to mix in exercise if you’re not already. Good cardio or light weight training will help progress things quicker and will work wonders for your metabolism and over all well-being.
