5 RepliesDon’t agree with her too much. If you have an opinion stick to it. Don’t be mean about it, but if you can, be playfully teasing. If you’re like “I don’t really like popcorn” And she says she loves popcorn, and then you turn around and say popcorn isn’t that bad, then it comes across that you’re desperate for her approval. Instead, try to be like “ohhhhh you do? I’m sorry. We might still be able to be friends, but we’re never going to a movie together” then say something like “you don’t also talk loudly in movies do you?” So it turns it around so that she is seeking your approval, not you seeking hers. Get her to talk about herself by using awkward silence against her. Make an assumption about her that is a statement. Not a question. Like “You must be very artistic” then look at her expectantly maintaining eye contact. She will feel like she needs to talk or she will be the awkward one. So she will talk about herself and you can just prolly her to keep talking. This will make her feel like you are a good listener and easy to talk to. Be genuine. Always. Don’t make up false stories about yourself or try to be someone you aren’t. If you’re not confident in yourself, that’s okay. Prepare to be your best self and if there is something you’re unsure about, own up to it. Showing a little vulnerability is endearing. She likes you and agreed to go out with you because of the person you already are, so acting differently will come across as fake. If something happens that’s awkward, call it out. Draw attention to it. “Aw yes. The part of the date where we are both awkwardly silent. I was looking forward to this part. I think it means we are trying to impress each other and are afraid of saying something kinda dumb. At least, that’s how I’m feeling. Let’s ride it out. No talking for 3 minutes.” Then look her in the eyes with a playful smirk and if she starts to talk shhhh her, take her hand, and stag walking with her. Tell her the 3 minutes has to start over now. You must be playful and lighthearted about this. Good luck

Hmm. As in all conversations, I suggest you be thoughtful in your responses. You don't need to reply immediately, so take the time to think about your responses. Thoughtless words often lead to awkward moments, and make you appear desperate.

Ask her questions about what she does, what her interests are, etc. and [i] always [/i] listen to her when she talks. She will do the same to you if you're respectful. Make eye contact with her when talking and try not to look elsewhere when talking. Hold the door open for her all the time when leaving/entering buildings and cars. But most importantly, don't act weird.

Because it is apparently a huge deal that I've muted this troll and his like 4 alts, I'll add a bit of context. This is that dude that makes pretty much nothing but troll posts and posts where he pretends to be drunk. Occasionally he'll make a roleplay post where he demands others conform to his boring settings, because he isnt creative enough to deal with players that are anything more than a generic soldier boy doing bang bang shoot em ups. Then he'll throw a fit when no one wants to play with him, get bant, and come back on one of his alts with a new name lol. Which is especially funny because he gets triggered when folks say things like "literally who?" Or "I've never seen a RP post from you." I can't respond to FakeHydra specifically as he is one of the many people I have muted for getting me bant after I trigger them. But yes! I do have quite a few folks muted! My massive mute list includes stalkers that kept blowing up my notifications, kids that constantly blog about their lives, and the vast majority of them are trolls like OP and their many, many alts!

If you go to the movies there’s no real social interaction. If you go to a restaurant or similar you’ll only have your conversation to entertain her, can be stressful. Mini golf, bike ride and ice cream, bowling...could be good options depending on your age and her tastes. Unfortunately I don’t want a relationship so I’m not of much use. I would presume these protocols will override your current settings and projected outcome: - Don’t be a poser. Be yourself. If you’re a joker then don’t force humor. Don’t attempt to look as sharp as DiCaprio, I presume authenticity will resonate better. (unless you’re an unhygienic murderhobo, then you should straighten up.) - Don’t bring up football unless she mentions it first. - Don’t crank music in the car if you’re giving her a lift.
