10 RepliesThe series is fine. Disney is just being forced to deal with an ideological split with the fanbase that George Lucas let fester. Lucas always saw the series as a modern myth. But you have a very large and very...ahem...vocal part of the fanbase who want to see it as a modern fairy tale. Lucas ran afoul if them with the Prequels. But instead of standing up for his work and his vision against what was a pretty childish outcry, Lucas retreated into retirement. Disney stepped on that same land mine with The Last Jedi. Hopefully Disney stands their ground. The franchise, IMO, will be damaged in the long term if they give in. Because the universe will lose a lot if it’s ability to tell interesting stories.

7 RepliesRogue One was great, Solo was fine. The Mandalorian is god tier, on par with the original trilogy. The Clone Wars show is amazing. I’ve only seen the CG, not the cartoon.
