Season of ruined nightfall
This season is currently a garbage for nightfalls, i'm obliged to use scout rifles, pulse and bow or i can't beat the "champion" bs.
Sorry, i see no reason to play nightfall anymore, you could make the game interesting for everyone, but insist on this crap of champion system.

I really wish AR's got barrier or unstoppabke instead of overload or both. I like pulse rifles, but not a fan of pulse scout loadout either. Not great for clearing ads.

2 RepliesI do agree it’s quite inconvenient using long range and low dps weapons to counter champions. It’s especially frustrating because the said weapons have to be legendary to equip the mods. So you have to use weapons impractical at clearing mobs in PvE to counter champions and have to choose between another weapon that was good at clearing mobs or good at dealing damage to majors and bosses. Whatever you choose will leave you with holes in your loadout. Not a fan of this design decision.

1 Replythe only problem ive run into with this seasons scouts/pulse/bow anti champion mods, is they dont deal enough damage, fast enough vs barriers in 980 activities.

That's Bungies way of making old night falls "new". I agree I don't like the champions gimmick forcing people to use certain weapon types and arbitrarily making armour 2.0 relevant.

Spot on. Forced loadouts and trash weapons to bust champions. Horrible design. Not to mentions it makes our exotics even more worthless.

All you need for EVERY champion is a Divinity and two Izanagi’s Burden. If your farming the higher tiers then you should be in a fireteam a coordinating abit better

Yeah being able to grind nightfalls for high stat roll exotics sure does suck. It's so hard to focus down champions on the very high level of 950 for basically free loot.

2 RepliesI like scouts and pulses a lot, but I also like experimenting in high level activities. I do not like my loadout choices to be that limited. I guess that's why the last 2 seasons have had me second guessing my commitment to this game.

1 ReplyMy beef with the NR Ordeal is it's the same -blam!-ing strikes for the third year in a row now. All they did was add a few altered enemy types that just require the addition of a simple mod to stop. I don't know who thinks this was creative or intuitive, but this game is at the height of mediocrity right now. Luckily Bungie's player base doesn't really require much to please so we can't really expect Bungie to work that hard coming up with anything better.

I dont run the Ordeal nightfalls anymore. Pretty boring imo. I would rather raid or play crucible than the Ordeals and 980 bullshit.

I didn’t mind the Pit as I could use whatever weapons I wanted. Both the NF and 980 Nightmare weren’t a whole lot of fun. I am losing interest after less than a week. Still haven’t completed the Osiris thing. Hoping to run the raid this weekend as there’s still flexibility of load out there.
