The komodo-4fr was a mistake.
Anyone could have seen this coming, but ffs, all everyone is using is arbalest and they all seemingly have perfect accuracy with it even after I get the first 2 or 3 shots in with a scout that fires 5 times a second, so they'd have to react within 0.2 seconds, and I'm calling bs on anyone who can consistently. Was there a buff I missed? I've used it with enhanced targeting and enhanced unflinching and you know what? Unless I got the first shot, I missed because I still flinched a lot. Did you think this through? The komodo is s*** anyway, almost every crooked fang I've gotten had better roles and this the ritual weapon? The only part that makes it a ritual weapon is the month of 80% of crucible using nothing but an arbalest and in several cases in the past 5 matches I've been in today, aimbots on top of it.
Was that your goal? Flush out the cheaters? Screw up crucible for everyone so you can ban a lot of people? If so, have fun with the MANY reports I'll be making. Actually, I may as well report everyone using arbalest, I've had people report me for using Quiver in D1 when the Shadowshot glitch was a thing and I didn't even do the glitch, I've reported and recorded others doing it and got no results. What reason do I have to believe I'll suffer any consequences for doing the EXACT SAME THING those people did to me who also suffered no consequences for it? Expect a few dozen reports every day I'm in crucible.
Edit: 4 rounds per second, 0.25 seconds to react.

What will you be listing the reason behind the dozens of reports exactly? Network manipulation? Grow up

1 ReplyLook man, there are a lot of guns that are frustrating to go up against because they can kill quick. You'd be just as frustrated if it was Erentils, Jotunns, Mountaintops, Revokers, Mindbenders, Dustrocks... Trust me, there are a lot of weapons that can be frustrating to go up against in the crucible. I've been using Arbalest to try to complete this and it's given me a new enjoyment for the weapon honestly.

2 RepliesI absolutely agree with ParrotTom. Crucible is total trash at the moment because of Arbalest spammers. It was a mistake to make Komodo-4FR Farm a crucible grind. Especially that players who luckily have the Arbalest get free special ammo each spawn and all other players who do not own it have a very hard life. All other Fusion rifles are not good in crucible and it is a pain to camp for heavy ammo. They should have made it a Gambit quest, that would have been much more realistic because it is possible to get there Heavy ammo and kill enemy guardians with any fusion rifles over 500 charge time. Crucible is just too fast paced for any other Fusion rifle that is not Arbalest, even Queenbreaker is not always OHK even tho it is in Heavy ammo slot.

2 RepliesI'm only using Precision Weapon targeting helmet mod, but's with the latest linear fusion buffs, it is quite easy to pop domes with Albarest. Linear fusions also have less flinch deflection when taking incoming weapon fire, so other players hitting you with Albarest is quite normal, especially if you are not running high caliber rounds nor aggressive frame weapons.

There isn't a single scout rifle in the game that has a .2 ttk. The people killing you are just better at the game than you. Shocking to find out that you arent a crucible god, I know. It's the enhanced linear fusion mod that's broke. My first game of pvp I faced a 6 stack all using arbalest with the mod. It was still a close game but rather annoying to deal with.

The reason linear fusions were nerf was because of the aim assist and them they put something in the game to remove it. People wanted a new meta so enjoy it.

Whilst I would rather not have a whole season of Arbalest it’s not THAT bad. Most people should be able to do this in a reasonable time. Not like Randy’s Throwing Knife where any ‘normal’ player would only have a few opportunities to make a dent in progress via Momentum Control. Progress is at least steady this time around. 100% doable for an average player.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 12/11/2019 10:07:39 AMPress crouch to counter. No but seriously, arbalest is one of the easiest specials to counter with no effort that I've seen. At least on PC, you have the long sound que before each shot you hear from across the map that let's you time the crouch perfectly every time just before the shot comes. I had an arbalest chorus in every match last night and dodged the shots way more than I got OHK'd. Not sure if it works differently on controller with the crosshair being sticky from aim assist. If so take a break from crucible for a week. The kill requirement for the quest is lower than Randy's last season so folks will be done with it in around that time and move back to using actually effective guns instead of linear fusions.
