Dude it’s sickening I’ve seen everything possible get nerfed and every time a weapon is good in pvp it gets totally dismantled bit by bit until it’s a vault dust collector. Then bungie fetches some bull crap update called the go faster update where everything is buffed and bungie then promise to never nerf anything again and a couple of month later they start destroying everything all over again.

1) the time invested by the vast majority of recluse owners (those of us that got it before comp was easy) are basically seeing their investment be flushed down the toilet. 2) recluse isnt OP. Hate to further hurt butts, but its not. Its extremely easy to out play in crucible because its an SMG, dont do like 99% of the community and ape and it cant hurt you. If you rush at an SMG you deserve that death, no excuses for that, ever tried to use recluse against a shotgun or erintil? Bet you lost that fight. Not to mention on console its impossible to control outside of 10m maybe 12 if youre extremely good. Its just so easy to use because 99% of PvP player have the tactical IQ of the poop emoji and dont know any other tactic besides aping. 3) nerfing something because of pve is about like putting on a condom and having sex then trying to claim youre still a virgin. You DO NOT have to use it. And to the idiots that will say "well if you dont use the meta youre basically crippling yourself on purpose".....tf you think the nerfs doing bud? Its the exact same thing only with extra steps that make you look even more pathetic. Youre just crying because your favorite streamer or tuber told you to. If youd quit bouncing on their bologna pony youd be able to think for yourself for once 🤷‍♂️ 4) Bungie, in the entire history of thise franchise, have NEVER nerfed a gun and it still be useable. Everything they nerf becomes 100% useless and is never seen again (look at sidearms, how many of them you seen outside of momentum? 0. Whisper? Yeah never even fired mine, got it and dismantled it before the mission booted us back to orbit. Sleeper? They put that i D2? When?). Bungies record with nerfs is 1) to frequent and 2) so overly done they may as well just remove what ever they are nerfing from the game completely because once theyre done it becomes nothing more than a vault trophy. 5) and on top of all this REAL op weapons like shotguns and erintil go completely unchecked, warlocks havent had their melee speed fixed yet to be on par with titans and hunters (who have the exact same melee speed) hell it hasnt even been mentioned by bungie at all, massive connection problems (hell bungies own website went down for 2 days), matchmaking issues that havent even been addressed, P2P is still a thing for some reason even though it was outdated in 1990, and there are TONS of other game issues that continue to go unchecked...... But everyones worried about an SMG that ia truely not as good as they want to believe it is, i dont even use the thing in crucible because my trust is 10x better and 9/10 beats out recluse unless its got MoA prov'ed (which is a pinnacle perk so its supposed to be good, duh) and im constantly swapping it out for calus mini depending on the burn or bounties or simply because its easier to control. But yay, recluse is getting nerfed and all i got was 3 legendary shards and these terrible posts begging for the nerf to waste my time and effort. Thanks again bungie, ill never do another pinnacke type weapon again. Theyre just going to nerf it to "make other guns shine and give more variety" so why bother wasting my time when i could probably grind menagerie and get something better that wont get nerfed.

Welcome to the idiocy of the forums, the same thing has happened with hunters. People make the same hypocritical arguments that hunters are not OP; when by all evidence they ARE and always have been. Most on this forums do'nt give a shit about balance, they only want the op shit they have to say dominate and anything that opposes it to be nerfed into the dirt. Nothing new. Recluses needs to be nerfed to break necks currently level and breakneck buffed back to its pre-nerf state. No I don't even have breakneck, i just think its bullshit to hard nerf something that wasn't even barely used as was.

Why can't people just be realistic? This is isn't killing the weapon. Not at all. It's bringing it towards a balance closer to nearly all others. Recluse will still be VERY good, it's just won't be so good it surpasses EVERY submachine, auto, and fusion rifle.

They're pinnacle weapons, not some vanguard or world drop trash. Riskrunner is better than recluse in a few activities anyway, so no need to nerf it.

It's better if they balance things out with buffs instead of nerfs.

I earnt this gun, it shouldn't be nerfed.

When they nerf Recluse, one of two things will happen. 1. The nerf won't be enough, Recluse will still be the meta, and the PvP snowflakes continue to whine. 2. The next good weapon moves up, becomes the next meta, and the PvP snowflakes continue to whine. Because, that's what happens every single time in a game like this. Players who hate metas and need a level playing field are in the wrong game.

The only hypocrisy is this post... So you say if players opt for variety they choose underperforming weapons. when they nerf it, you suggest players can still use recluse however I’d like to point out they would also be opting for an underperforming weapon. Once they nerf the gun, the community will figure out the next best meta weapon and everyone will abuse it until you and all other posters crying about guns they don’t feel like working towards will whine about nerfing it.

I never wanted to get a Recluse. But I finally got intresting pinnacle weapon this season - Rendy. So I got my pieces together and went to comp. And while I do Rendy I hitted 2100 glory rank and, of course, got recluse. Well, maybe it's just me, but after 20-30 games I can't see how it's better than my Misfit with relly good roll (and range masterwork). Again, maybe it's just me. Recluse not a bad gun, sure. But it don't deserve all this attention for sure. I like nerf idea. I hope we at least see different weapon in energy slot. When 75% guardian using one weapon all the time in every actvity it's looks stupid.=)

Ummm nope. By default you're saying that Recluse is the best no matter what and if you don't use it (pre nerf) your at a disadvantage....every thing else being equal. Well that simply isn't the case especially on console. I grinded to 5500 using a bow in the energy slot and a shotgun in the primary slot. I countered a ton of recluses with a shotty. Its not that hard. So yet, you don't have to use it. What if you suck with SMG's? Are you now at a disadvantage? Lets suppose your a god with a fusion. Should you stop using a fusion because by your standard Relcuse is the best or any SMG is better than any other gun except for recluse? Of course the answer is no......that is just silly......kind of like your argument. What makes Recluse very good right now is that it's also awesome in PVE. Its the best ALL AROUND in game play....its not the best and any single thing.
