It's just a refreshed destination with 3 missions, some old boss fights, and way too much grind. Forsaken was overpriced too, but at least that dlc added content! 9 new trees for your subclasses, TWO brand new destinations with NEW public events, new game mode, much longer story, way more everything...
The focus for shadowkeep is clearly designed around Eververse and the grind, new light and Steam.
So far, I much preferred when Activision was around.

24 RepliesBunch of children on this site with no concept of money, I swear. The moon is 2x as big and completely overhauled from what it was previously - not a reskin, new campaign, vex invasions, new dungeon, new raid, new weapons & armor, completely revamped armor/mod system, and we've just started the 2nd week of 2-3 months worth of content. How precious do you think your measly $15 is? I crap more money worth of food out daily. There is minimum 40hrs content, even for a casual, in this expansion and that's well worth $35 price tag.

Fully agree and the pass another 15-20 dollars.
-
5 RepliesI disagree, Shadowkeep should of been free, like they said, making Destiny 2 free to play. Then they should of created a new sub class for each class costing $10 to $15, and a new class completely for $25 to %30. Yes it would be more work, but better for the game overall.

Edited by Centaur: 10/8/2019 11:54:50 PMI agree with what your saying, but hell naw activision made so many exclusives. They almost as bad as EA They all like: (To unlock the rest of this post, click here -> $30.99) (To redeem Best Buy exclusive, click *here*)

The value for dollar argument isn’t one that is easily debated one way or another. It’s up to the individual to determine the value to them. Not for others to determine it for them.

Edited by Mista: 10/8/2019 10:35:26 PMSo they should charge less than Fortnite does for 1 skin?

6 RepliesROFLMAO. You're funny kid. Fifteen dollars won't even buy you a recent release movie on Apple or Amazon. Amazing how you seem to think that the meer fact that you want something entitled you to the fruits of other people's labor for whatever you feel like paying.

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG, WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!!!

I disagree. And I think you work for Activision.

2 RepliesThanks for the opinion but you mentioned crapitvision they can go jump in a lake.....

Edited by Glass: 10/8/2019 11:04:50 PMTechnically its 25 because it includes the season. 35 - 10 = 25

28 RepliesAs an example of how broke Bungie is. There was almost 0 advertisements for SHadowheep until all the revenue from it came. Now low and behold ads on YouTube. Honestly folks they are in fact in trouble and worse than that lazy. Stay tuned for the franchise to survive it will in part or in whole be sold. And honestly that would be great for the whole community. Bungie tanked.

In all honesty, I knew I wouldn’t be playing video games in general this fall. I simply threw money at Bungie in hopes to keep Destiny alive so that the next iteration will be better. I didn’t have high hopes for Shadowkeep. I’ve played a good bit in the last week and it was not amazing or a complete disaster. It’s merely okay. My main take away- there’s too much confusion on where to go, what to do, when to do it. Everything is eventually understandable (given YouTube) but it feels like I’m back at work. Having to worry about what bounty or quest I have to look back at to make sure it’s progressing or wondering where the heck a location is without a waypoint or even having it labeled on the map is not an ideal way to spend my free time. I much prefer a game that allows me to not think so much after a long work day. I just want my brain dead body to sit back and play 1-2 hours of nothing but pure bliss but this is not that game— more than ever. Good luck Bungie.

2 RepliesDestiny players: “ I’m gonna buy this new dlc!” *Plays dlc* Destiny players: “This dlc sucks!” *Proceeds to preorder next dlc* You have zero reason to be mad. They literally revealed the contents of the dlc and the size. If you didn’t think forsaken (a really good expansion) was priced properly, what made you think shadowkeep was gonna be different? It’s your fault and not anyone else’s.
I actually think shadowkeep is really good
I have some experience in programming, and it takes much longer than you think to make small changes. You might think Shadowkeep is just a 'refreshed destination' and 'old boss fights', etc, but in reality it took over 500 people several months to make it. It would take a single person days to model a new hive enemy. That doesn't include applying shaders, compositing, rigging and animating the new model. They probably wouldn't be able to make a profit from selling it at £15. On top of that, they're giving the base game away for free. Don't forget Activision probably has more employees and could therefore create more content. P.s. I agree, Forsaken is better than Shadowkeep

you should've paid me $15 for taking the time out of my day to call you a whiny -blam!-.

2 RepliesDude we don’t even have access to all the content now. Just give it a while and if you don’t like it, take off...
-
So this was a bad time to jump back in then huh?
-
6 RepliesIt has more content than Forsaken so nah. $35 was comfortable
-
Edited by Sage: 10/8/2019 8:49:41 PMIt is also a refreshed game- I think with the loot involved it should be 20 or 25$. I paid 65 for digital deluxe for the pass but I wish it was 40-45$. Maybe 50. I played through a lot of the content to get raid ready for this week. Goal is to be 960 with Divinity.
the story was too short for shadowkeep. I wish the campaign was longer by 3 main missions and not grinding for armor. The end scene should've carried us to do some more missions on the pyramid scheme ship.
I’m reserving final judgment for now. Forsaken didn’t have everything open week 1, and this is only day 8 of this expansion. So I’m willing to see how the content evolves and grows with the base $40 part of the content. I haven’t even finished all the side quests ShadowKeep lunches with. Honestly I could have waited another week for Vex Offensive to start. I think Bungie May have felt it needed to rush to put it out since they seemingly needed to have the raid launch in the same week as release. Had I road mapped it, I would have held off until today for Vex Invasion activities to start on the moon. Saturday the 12th open the Raid, then after world first open the Vex Offensive. Most Destiny players don’t play this game professionally to make twitch/mixer/YouTube content. And those guys can play Crucible for a week to wait for the rest of us to catch up a bit. lol
-
2 RepliesWhile I agree that the campaign was too short, I don't know if I'd list the price as low as $15. I picked up Forsaken for $40. It had 2 totally new planets compared to only one in Shadowkeep, but I think Shadowkeep has more content that effects the rest of the game: armor 2.0, finishers, the changes to Nightfalls and the Crucible, etc. All of that content, while not as obvious as something like the Dreaming City, does take time and $$$ to develop. To sum up my feelings on the whole thing, it feels like there is more going on in Shadowkeep even though Forsaken had more new planets. Does that make sense?

8 Repliesi truly beileve people like you will never be happy. bungie could make a 10/10 DLC that could cost 0.02$ and you would be complaining. "IT SHOULD BE 1 CENT NOT TWO"
-
Edited by OneTrueMandalor: 10/8/2019 7:52:07 PMRefreshed destination? Hmmm I don’t seem to recall a giant edgy red hive fortress in D1...and I’m pretty sure that campaign was more than just 3 missions...Dark Below had 3 missions, actually. I’m for one am actually enjoying Shadowkeep so far, especially because of the creativity you can have with armor and mods and weapons so I can actually make a build...and my add clearing build is coming along quite nicely, to add. Also shoutout to transmog because my hunter actually looks clean af now.

You’re not very smart are you?

3 RepliesI'm 900 light and have no idea on what to do? To get the higher light gear I need different types of weapons which I don't have to do the quests....a quest requires me to do a couple of lost sectors but as soon as I get to the boss I'm contacting destiny servers then kicked. All the other stuff is boring like crucible and strikes and I've also done 3 nightfalls and I can't raise the powercap because it's too difficult I have no idea on what to do?!
