I dont get the point on make us feel like we wasted our time so badly farming for good perks for our weapons that now you´re going to nerf. And I dont get that -blam!-ing obession of making the game harder, I just wanna have fun playing this game I dont want this to be a second job. If we want a challenge we are going to take it but we dont need every aspect of the damn game to be so challenging, killing bunch of baddies without much effort feels good too, there is no need to make it everything harder ffs

2 RepliesI can't wait to see Datto struggle like hell in the new raid.

2 RepliesThey should nerf ghosts, I pull mine out too fast.

Because they have always been far too powerful. In D1 the damage perks were strong but not the best perks. D2 most of those damage dealing perks are more than x2 than they were in D1 and many were even further. The pinnacle weapon change? Yeah that wasn't started by streamers, it was actually stared on Reddit who pointed out the game's balance was borked and the game lost meaning. The only thing that would ever be worth running was pinnacle weapons which are FAAAAR too strong for legendaries, even stronger than good exotics. It ruined the 'choice' aspect of the game. "Just buff all the weapons?" And then what? Every enemy in the game falls over with a sneeze. "Just buff all the enemies HP?" Well that means you want devs to waist x2 as much time or more as it would if they just nerfed the things that are far too powerful to begin with.

9 RepliesEdited by BADMAGIK: 9/27/2019 10:41:32 PMYa, this is a great point. The game shouldn't be so challenging. This way, players can complete everything quickly and then scream at Bungie about how there's no content.

39 RepliesBack in my day we didn't one phase every boss into oblivion. To all of the actual idiots saying these are the worst set of nerfs ever, I'm sorry but all of the nerfs were needed. Destiny 1 was easy, but destiny 2 is a -blam!-ing cake walk. Every bit of content is so easy that we chew through it in days, hell even with forsaken they had to time gate shit in order from keeping us from completing it right out of the gate. It's time to actually have some -blam!-ing difficulty. And to the others who say this is just a half assed way to make the game harder, youre probably a high school child that took 1 semester of coding or Linux classes and now think you can run the gaming industry better than anyone else. So to explain why you're stupid here. For starters weapon damage, weapon effects, ability damage, etc. IS part of making the game harder. Sorry but current destiny 2 where any problem can be solved with my Recluse+Anarchy+mountain top combo. To the point where raid bosses are a -blam!-ing joke now. Now players said they wanted a harder game, so you know Bungie is trying to give us that. Bungie has roughly 600 employees but you're literally -blam!-ing stupid if you think all of them work on destiny 2. So on top of people planning for oppulance and finishing shit, along with developing shadow keep, surely planning more seasons. EVERY LITTLE BIT OF DESTINY IS WORKED ON BY SOMEONE AND SOMETIMES SHIT TAKES A WHILE.

LOL @ "I don't want this to be a second job". I feel the same way. Sure, a game has to be challenging to be as fun as possible (think Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice), but I think challenging encounters should be left for endgame content, not every single mob you run into...

15 RepliesThe only rolls on weapons anyone cared about were reload and damage related. With the base damage buffs announced last week, the change to overall damage will probably not be as dramatic as the details in just this week's TWAB made it sound, but still encourage people to use a more diverse pool of weapon perks.

1 ReplyI was just logging in to basically say exactly the same thing! The Seasonal artifact looks like complete garbage. Trust Bungie to find a way to SAY they are giving us MORE CHOICE while in fact using that 'choice' to actually restrict our options. The seasonal artifact has 'special' runes to give 'special' powers that you MUST HAVE to defeat otherwise unkillable enemies. AND YOU CAN ONLY GIVE THEM TO CERTAIN WEAPON ARCETYPES!!!!! Translation: Bungie gets to frakkin tell us what GUNS WE HAVE TO USE!! And even if we like it for one season, it will change the next!!! They are also making everything way harder to kill?!?! Bungie is like a bad Dungeon Master. Obsessed with how THEY want you ti play THIER game or they will take their game and go home. Go Home Bungie.

4 RepliesI say lets call jefferson, ditch the game and head to the strip club..hell peg wont even know im gone.
-
Well its because when d2 started it was shit and everything was double primaries so the whole game aligned with that in mind now that its been changed i understand that these things happen but its still a kick in the dik.
-
Sounds like this might not be a suitable game for you then. It's a good thing there is a plethora of other games available that might cater to your requirements 👍

8 RepliesYou want Bungie to leave your power unchecked and build content around it? Play Reckoning, Prime example of what happens if Bungie starts building challenging content around overpowered load-outs. You may think it’s bad call, but in the long run it keeps things interesting.
-
4 RepliesIf you want a challenge, go play Dark Souls. Did we come to this game for that kind of experience? Oh hell naw. I don’t get why they want it to be “harder.” Halo wasn’t a challenge. Was just fun to play. Didn’t see them treating it like this...
-
I hope we get some crazy buffs to all the crap that nobody uses because seeing everything we like to use get the ax is pretty disheartening.

1 ReplyEdited by Kanashimi510: 9/28/2019 8:05:16 PMI hope breakneck is still decent when shadowkeep launches. After reading the newest round of nerfs, it looks like it's getting completely destroyed. Imo, breakneck didn't deserve to be ruined. It was in a good place, and actually a fun to use AR.

These nerfs are our salvation. You all just can’t do the basic math required to figure that out.
-
19 RepliesYep. Welcome back D2 Y1. Thanks again Luke Smith!

10 RepliesI completely agree with your post! I bust my a** at work 40+ hours a week the last thing I want to do is come in from work, open a can/bottle beer and start a 2nd job right away :/ Bungie has no respect for the hard working part of the community! There are a lot of quests for certain weapons I haven't even done yet in over a years time... Now they want to make it even harder for the 5%-10% of the hardcore/streamer community :( Shame really but whatever, Me personally I won't be getting Shadowkeep until it's out and I read reviews from the casuals on it, not from the hardcore/streaming community.

1 Reply“Hey, you know everything you like using? Wouldn’t it be fun if it was a little worse?” No it would not. When Destiny 2 first came out, it wasn’t very much fun because your guardian felt like a slower, wimpier version of your D1 guardian. Nerfing all the things does not inspire confidence.

2 RepliesThey have to please Lord Datto.
can’t ban me this time ninjas
13 Repliestold you guys, is datto keep now

11 RepliesEdited by epicperon: 9/27/2019 6:27:14 PMWarframe gang ᕦ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕤ The game has actual power creep: instead of old stuff getting nerfed to make new stuff more relevant the new stuff breaks the meta right out of the box, but not to the extent to which all of the old stuff is 100% obsolete.
Though as a side effect the game is easy af. Though it’s a power fantasy looter shooter so isn’t it supposed to be?
Perks are nothing if the game isn't interesting. I want to see how the difficulty spikes with all of the changes being made, especially with how enemy levels are changing. If the game can be more interesting this way then I'm okay with some perks being nerfed a bit, although I never grinded HELLA hard like a lot of other people did. I got some good weapons with the rolls I want and I'm okay with them being a little bit less good if it means the game overall will be more challenging.
-
Shadowkeep is a let down so far, will see how it plays, but not gonna preorder.
-
9 RepliesLet me get this straight, Bungie puts the streamers on a pedestal way above the entire player base, listens to them saying they want things to be more of a challenge and that translates to, Oh nerf the Guardians so they're weaker and while we are at it nerf a few weapons so it "feels' like more of a challenge? Here is an idea Bungie, how about creating things that are an actual challenge, meaning makes better mechanics, you did it in D1 that you have 3 years of knowledge so I can't see the issue unless that is work that is too hard for you as well?

1 ReplyI'm just glad they recognize OEM is perfectly balanced.
