And no, before someone finds the loophole in the comments, I am not talking about the walking dead.
I’m talking Star Wars Walkers, Mech suits, Iron Man armors, stuff like that.
Anyone else think they’re just flipping awesome?

2 RepliesI have tried to make a room full of power armor in fallout 4 like iron mans. Combat mechs are not my all time favorite but I like things like iron mans suits and all fallout power armor.

You would have loved Chromehounds then. You could build your own mech in that game, and it was very detailed and then duke it out in a consistent online war with 3 factions, taking territories and cities from opposing factions and defending them. The servers were shutdown in 2012, such a shame, it was one of the best online games available yet nobody knew about it because they -blam!-ed up in marketing the game. And it was a Fromsoft game before they got famous.

Stand by for Titanfall...

1 ReplyTitanfall series is the only thing that's really made piloted mecha interesting to me. Everything else I've seen they've just been kinda... meh. I always have a hard time believing they would be any more effective than say, a hover tank or traditional gunship/air support, when the SOP for mechs would always be to just cripple the legs. Seems like the kind of thing would work better with AI control, that can analyze terrain much more quickly and move accordingly. The one big thing they would have going for them would be the more modular nature and adaptability, like that of an actual soldier.

I remember watching Avatar and seeing the AMP suits thinking they were one of the coolest things ever. I never was a huge fan of the movie, but those things were nice.
