Why Doesn't Escalation Protocol Count Towards Flashpoints?
Whenever the Flashpoint is on Mars I internally sigh. Why? Because that's where EP is. Since EP delays and sometimes overrides public events, having to wait like 30 minutes just to get one done is a hassle. The thing I don't understand is why EP doesn't count towards Flashpoint progress. It says it's a public event whenever you join one I don't think it would be too much to have EP count to flashpoint progress personally. What do you guys think?

Agreed, one can spend far more time on EP than doing other activities to achieve Flashpoint. I have landed on Mars to do public events, gotten sucked into an EP and spent a good deal of time trying successfully complete it, forgetting why I went there in the first place.

2 RepliesIt does only if you beat wave 7. No you do not have to collect the the chest from the end of wave 7 to gain progress. The sad thing is that EP awards less progress towards the flashpoint than just doing heroic public events. If you want to maximize your Flashpoint progress if you can't just do heroic public events, because it's delayed or just don't start do to EP, Finish the EP try to get to wave 7 and beat it if you have the chance do it twice, then do the heroic mission then your done. Also don't forget that Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Because this is the timeline god abandoned. I spent a lot of time on Mars trying to get things done for Wayfarer and EP was always getting in my way. I'm at least relieved that Blind Well and Menagerie are removed from patrol areas and don't interrupt the flow of public events.

Hey look, public event about to start, 5% before flashpoint completion. Then a couple of brave souls start EP. Rinse and repeat. Lost sectors a few more times.

It will place you into a different lobby (provided you are running solo). If someone has triggered EP, fast travel again (and again if needed) until you reach a lobby where the flag is available. In this manner you'll get FP done quickly.

Same could be said for Blind Well. That doesn't progress your Flashpoint. Why don't raids on the Flashpoint planets increase it? Just saying.

1 ReplyEP should definitely count. And for Mercury, they need to either increase the percentage you get for existing activities or give us a percentage for completing Patrols. There is very little to do on Mercury.
