It’s official
I have gone through all of Year 2 without having 1KV drop for me. This is beyond ridiculous. With about 90 chests opened so far, one would think it’d drop for me already.
I know others are dealing with this, too. It’s a new year, Bungie. We need drop protection on these raid exotics.

3 RepliesThis games rng was designed by a casino machine dude (so I’ve heard). The more often you play, the least often you’ll get rare loot drops. The key to consistency getting good loot is to not play that often AKA be a filthy causal. The game is designed to incentivize people to keep playing. If you play 24/7, 365 days/yr no matter what the game doesn’t have to worry about you choosing not to play. Welcome to the club, bro. We’re all addicts here.

1 ReplyI know it’s no consolation to you getting 1KV but with the Trace rifle for Shadowkeep being in the Raid collections tab but it also being a quest, then maybe Bungie have learned from this and are establishing the raid exotic to be a quest that involves raiding rather than just RNG. This would also explain why world’s first will not all receive the raid exotic like they have previously.

It’s all RNG. It took me 96 final chests. It will happen eventually, I guarantee it. Just don’t give up!

3 RepliesI've done LW twice and had 1kv drop both times. I seem to have god tier RNG in raids.. I always get the most sought after gear on my first runs. But having seen clanmates run it over and over with no drop, I agree... the system needs a change.

Bruh I can't bring myself to do it. I have played lw multiple times on console and pc. The disappointment of getting another gauntlet isn't worth the hour it takes to finish it

I have a clan mate who has done the Raid over 40 times and still no 1K. It’s just mind blowing. Your situation my good sir is just plain ridiculous and frankly stupid!!

It's all RNG, but I noticed that running with people who've had it b4 increases their odds of it dropping again for them and seems to decrease everyone else's odds. That's partly why I personally took a break from raiding Last Wish after I got it.

I don't think you can say you've gone through ALL of year 2 with only 90 chests opened.

1 ReplyI’ve never understood why people make posts to complain and inflate their number of clears like raid report isn’t a thing. Also not getting a weapon to drop after running a 10-15 minute cheese, which are the majority of your clears, isn’t something to complain about. Plus you can only get one key per week per character, so completing it seven times in a week doesn’t add up to seven chests opened. So out of your 50 clears, you’ve probably opened half that in actual chests.
