If I’m getting the below all for FREE -
- moon destination
- seasonal Artifact
- finishing moves
- Armour 2.0
- 2 x Strikes
- 3 x PVP maps
- Crucible Updates
- Crucible labs
- Seasonal Rank Rewards
Then why would I buy ShadowKeep?
I’m 100% serious...

9 RepliesI’m not poor. That’s the reason I bought it.
-
2 RepliesSo don't buy it if you can't think of a reason to buy it lol
-
So why are you complaining
-
It's very unclear what the $35 dollars gets you. Higher light level, dungeons, new raid, a couple of missions, exotic quests. I thought the new destination was open to everyone? (are we calling the moon new?) It's really weird that they are asking for $35, when they said they are going to an ala carte system. It's funny that they choose to sell "seasons" when a season pass normally means content for the year. I'm sure that won't cause confusion. I wonder why they didn't choose a different name like "episodes" or "bundle x". I took 9 months off, so I still have plenty to do, but I don't know what I'll still be able to do without shadow-weep. Generally, without raising your light level you can't really play IB, Gambit, NF's, etc.. I'm not sure if are removing content or what content they will be removing. Once stuff is removed I doubt it will be back anytime soon. Look at factions?

People were wondering about whether they should buy shadowkeep back when they announced it. To which I was saying they should just play the base game that is going to be free, and decide from that first. It's genuinely not going to be significantly different or improved and you would just be buying more of that. Of course the posts weren't received well despite how true they are.

Hey if you’re happy, good on you. I pre-ordered only because I know I am going to want to play the content. I hated black armoury. The forges just sucked. I enjoyed manager, but I wouldn’t say it was my favourite mode and I haven’t played it in weeks. Now gambit prime and reckoning I did enjoy. But once I got all the helmets I needed, I stopped reckoning. So totally understand that yeah since base content is free and if you want the premium, you can buy just the season. It is the better business model. Still happy I pre-ordered everything.

I can't either but I will

63 RepliesI feel bad for the players who have had destiny 2 for years. And i preordered shadowkeep with all the previous dlcs (excluding forsaken) for 35$. Doesnt seem fair to the people who have been supporting since day 1

Edited by Tru-Zrue: 9/24/2019 10:40:44 PMIm waiting for a price drop or for it to be free in the spring or summer. Edit: plus the raids are a big part of the game, the part of the game I don't care about anymore since D2 released. So I'm just wasting money. I know it's on me but still tho...
-
1 ReplyI bought Borderlands 3. I just play D2 for free. Bungie, the full time gamer/streamer pandering schmucks that they are, isn't getting another penny from me.
-
So you can kill the same baddies over and again with weapons we already have, but they look different now! DUH
-
But the one thing you aren't getting is shadow keep, nor the seasonal activity. Which is why I am buying it.
-
Cool new exotics. That's one of the main reasons I play this game.
-
2 RepliesI bought it for the story skipping the raid
-
I had two reasons to preorder: I play I could, so I did.

Value perception, my friend. If you see no reason to spend a certain amount of money on a particular thing, then don't. And no I'm not being salty here. Just saying it like it is. It's like you see a Ferrari that's $1 million, you think there's no need to spend that kind of money (even if you have it), then don't.
-
That's the whole idea, only buy the expansion if you want the content behind the paywall. You will be able to keep playing everything as is with new stuff for free. Win/win for everyone.
-
If you don’t want to, Then don’t. It’s easy. People shouldn’t have to convince you one way or another. You convince you.
-
22 Repliesi dont even want the free stuff , cant see any reason to play destiny2
-
-Story -Raid -Dungeon -And all the other unique quests it will have IOW, fresh new content. Do what you want, but those would be my reasons.
-
Story missions, new seasonal activity, new legendary armor, new legendary guns, new exotics, new Raid, new exotic quest
-
Can you .... read what buying the game and pass bring you... Do it once. For 5 minutes.
-
New story missions, new raid, new dungeon, new guns, exotics, premium battle pass included, supporting bungie now that they're an indi company. And no you'd have to buy the season separately
-
32 RepliesI'm not buying it simply because I know I will not be able to work through 100 tiers, and even after the season, I won't be able to continue earning the gear. It's about the best definition of a waste of money I can think of. Literally, I could wipe my ass with $35 bucks, and at least I'd have a clean butt.
-
3 RepliesI would say the raid, but Destiny 2 raids aren't that fun. I'm going to buy it for the story progression and because I honestly do still like the game.
