I was just normally playing d2 did some crucible matches like normal (Recking teams with a chaperone) and then with some of my buddies i went to the dreaming city did the ascendant challenge and then left them. To my surprise I see a message you have restricted to matchmake against players for two weeks.
What do i do know i need my crucible. some say connection but i cant be. I have 100mpbs fibre connection back when i used to have a ps4 i used to host private lobbies with people across the world. Why was I banned and what can I do.

You may think your network is fine, but clearly connection logs and player reports say otherwise. Believe it or not, this is how it works. Restrictions are placed manually on accounts that are deemed to be repeatedly ruining game experiences for others in PVP, or gambit. Restrictions will not be overturned until their duration has passed. Use this time to stabilise and improve your network connection so that you stop harming games for other players. The first restriction will last two weeks. If you do not fix your connection, the next will be two months. If you still persist in ruining the game for others, you will be permanently banned from PVP in Destiny 2. Please be considerate of others and work on fixing your connection, to avoid further repercussions.

15 RepliesFiber or not connection in this game is p2p meaning even if you have the fastest connection if players report you for lag and Bungie sees lag correlating with your connection it’s likely the cause of your suspension. You can’t do anything other than wait it out for the 2 weeks. My question is what country do you play in and what server do you connect to?

there are only 2 reasons one can be restricted from pvp activities, one is connection issues and the second is cheating/playing with a cheater. I am going to assume it is the former and post bungie's statement on connection restrictions along with their tips for improving the connection.
Beginning soon, players with the most unreliable connections will receive an in-game warning. We know that connection quality is fluid, so don’t worry if you have occasional, temporary issues. If you receive one of these warnings, please visit the Network Troubleshooting Guide. If your connection does not improve, there are additional guides available that can help you in diagnosing advanced network issues. If all else fails, contact your ISP for assistance. If your connection does not improve after an in-game warning, and we continue detecting a negative impact on other Guardians, restrictions from PvP activities may be applied to your account. If a restriction is applied to your account, you will be unable to participate in PvP for two weeks. If you continue to play on an unreliable connection that harms the experience of other players, that restriction may be extended.
(source) If for some reason you are not able to improve the stability of your connection, it is recommended to refrain from playing pvp activities as the negative side effects of your connection will lead to longer restrictions.
