So to get this PVE weapon that most raid load outs require, you have to grind a buggy, unbalanced PVP mode THAT THE WEAPON ISN'T EVEN GOOD IN.
It makes [b]absolutely no sense[/b] for the reward for reaching the "Mountaintop" of Crucible to be a weapon that is awful in that mode.
It makes [b]absolutely no sense[/b] to force raid players to spend HUNDREDS of hours playing Crucible to get a PVE weapon.
TLDR -
If you [b]want[/b] The Mountaintop for Raids you probably [b]don't want[/b] to spend hundreds of hours in PVP instead of Raids.
If you [b]want[/b] to spend all of your time in Crucible, you probably [b]don't want[/b] The Mountaintop and would rather get a reward that excels in PVP.
This effort to pressure people into other modes because you think it will improve player engagement doesn't work. It's been critized by players whenever developers try it, and applauded when they avoid it (like in The Division 2 for example).
You think you're going to get PVE players hooked on PVP, but all this does is frustrate people on both sides.
[b]If a huge number of players would rather spend hours in kill lobbies than Crucible, you either failed to make the quest reasonable or Crucible enjoyable for these players.[/b]
I know this will go on deaf ears, as trying to teach Bungie about good game design is like trying to teach a goldfish rocket science.

9 RepliesWhat i was going to do was list all of the guns that are obtained by PvE only methods compared to guns that are obtained by PvP only methods. This was going to show the vast majority of PvE weapons and was going to show your hypocrisy. But i decided this was going to be too much work just to show that you are a product of the current participation trophy culture.
