Title says it all. Why is there slow turn while sprinting?
-
4 RepliesI just go to my armour with traction and hold square to turn it off, works good.
-
3 RepliesEdited by michael: 7/25/2019 6:41:05 PMfeel like i am the only one who understood this post, i dont play console anymore but the slow turn always annoyed me. I had to choose between having a low sens and aiming better but having the turn radius of a city bus or having a high sens and turning quickly but my aim being all over. I agree that Traction should just be an option to turn on and off you shouldnt need a specific perk
-
2 RepliesGotten to a point where I can only play with boots that have traction. The slow turn speed is painful without them
-
Are you saying to make it the default turn speed and not a perk? If so, I agree entirely. It’s BS that that’s a perk when that should be default turn speed.
-
Traction shouldn't exist. The way we move with Traction should be the way we regularly move.
-
1 ReplyHave you tried selecting a different perk that isn't traction?
-
5 RepliesWhile I think the perk is a lacking some potential, having a toggle might create problems in the crucible and possibly wedge the playerbase. Groups of those who get motion sickness and those that don't. Breeding a sense of toxic behavior. If its fixed as fast, people who get sick won't feel like playing. If its fixed too slow, people won't find enjoyment from sluggish gameplay. Getting the perfect pitch is heavily biased to ones preference. The way how it is might just be the best compromise in my opinion. If people seek that advantage, work for it.
-
Unpopular opinion but I don't like traction.
-
2 RepliesBetter option, get rid of the ability to toggle sensitivity, make it a universal constant for everyone, and keep traction as a perk.
-
5 RepliesTraction is my fav perk on boots and all I ever use. Why is it being a perk an issue?

Title says it all. Why is there slow turn while sprinting?
On PC everyone has traction, that is to say, turn speed is always full speed. Its just another way consoles are gimmped. PC guns have no recoil too. Bungie love pandering to the dead player base on PC
-
12 RepliesIt is a toggle. There is always an alternative option to Traction on any armor that has it.
-
2 RepliesI honestly didn't know what you were talking about until I read responses. I guess I'm basically always wearing traction boots, so I don't know anything else. I just thought it was a point of mobility.
-
I like this idea. All boots should have traction built in as a default option
-
4 RepliesSome of us like slow turning while sprinting. I always get dizzy when I turn too fast with Traction boots.
-
Agree and I wish an option was for sprint by default.
-
1 Replyhopefully armor 2.0 cures this.
-
Edited by Howiepenguin: 7/25/2019 10:26:59 PMI was able to circumvent this by double tapping the thumb-stick in the direction I want to turn while sprinting. It's a little clunky but it seems to get the job done. Edit: Double tap then hold it after the second tap and you should see a difference in your turn speed.
-
Probably will be an option on September
-
1 ReplyEvery other fps has a normal turn radius except for Destiny lol. I can't even play the game without the Traction perk anymore xD.
-
14 RepliesSo mouse and keyboard players can have further advantages?
-
KEEP RELIGION OUT OF MY GODSLAYING VIDEO GAMES!!!
-
10 RepliesI will literally not use anything that has traction. You could give me the best boots in the game and if they had traction I would sell them instantly. People can already turn far too fast. If you want to turn faster, pump up your sensitivity
-
4 RepliesThere is a toggle on/off button, its called choosing a different perk If you have trouble turning while sprinting your sensitivity is to low and you should real try to up it.

1 ReplyI hope for your sake that you are referring to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Otherwise you will burn, along with all the other fools who worship false gods.
