Please make Monte Carlo great weapon
I hope there will be big sandbox update with shadowkeep, where we get recluse and mountaintop nerf and buff to other weapons like sidearms,pulse rifles, scout rifles and autorifles especialy.
Would be dissapointed if we get monte carlo, with actual sandbox it wouldnt be any good just like Bad Juju(i know its utility weapon, but still needs a bit more damage)
Pretty tired of recluse and mountaintop already, why bother using anything else.
Also why bother with adding new weapons when we will stick to those meta weapons.
I know there will be always META build, but these weapons are broken as hell

As much as i agree the mountaintop and recluse are OP, i dont want to see them nerfed due to them having such a grindy quest to make it worth it

I may be alone on this but I like auto rifles now and use the quite a bit in pve not to much in pvp except the Suros or age old bond with Zen moment. But they could always be better. I can not remember the perks on MC from D1. Can someone tell me?

No ones forcing you two use the Mountaintop/Recluse combo, if you don’t want to use it then dont simple as that. I don’t have the Mountaintop but as for the Recluse it’s not something I use in every single activity. I prefer Loaded Question to it in a lot of cases but maybe that’s just because I haven’t used the Recluse that much as it’s still new to me (Got it last week)

Would be cool if you could use the knife on the weapon, do a bayonet charge that does alot of damage but uses up a melee ability.

The only change to the MC that's acceptable is for the gun to either have zero change, or even better made it an 900 rpm SMG with the exact same perks as the AR has in D1 anything less and I'll take it as a personal insult to myself and my 3 year long D1 build.

1 ReplyMonte carlo will be goi g in my exotic gun bin. Got a quite a few in there. Would say juju in the bin but not bothering getting the quest for it. Tribute hall is a waste of time. They say its to honor. Well i call it the Tribute hall of dishonor. Whisper, truth, outbreak may as well go in exotic bin as well

As for Monte Carlo, that gun was never good (only for nightstalkers in D1 for wombos) it looked great but was mediocre at best. Never saw anyone run it in pvp or pve, way too many better options. Also the whole “make auto’s great again” thing just screams lack of skill. I use autos in pve and their fine, I mainly use horror story or ringing nail. The autos that should return as exotics are D1 raid autos, there’s lore there and I’m not aware of the lore that made Aetheons Epilogue disappear for example. It’s obvious that autos are in for a buff come shadow keep but for them to be meta would bring back the Uriels gift meta, does anyone really want that boring snooze feast?

8 RepliesEdited by WulfPak666: 7/21/2019 8:12:03 PMYou know what they should give it... Swashbuckler. Swashbuckler would pair with Monte Carlo extremely well especially if they keep it's old perk to regen melee ability energy. Just go around, spraying fools, punching tricks then unleashing death.

1 ReplyThis weapon will suffer like every other auto rifle. If the melee regen is decent it may be worth using it on ads. Claws of Ahamkara + Monte Carlo + Attunement of Fission will be my first experimental loadout.

Mountaintop is fine and so is bad juju, recluse might need a slight damage reduction in pve

You think bad juju is bad? Lol I got it 2 days ago and went on a 26 kill streaks with over 40 kills. Maybe you just need to practice more with it, bad juju was my baby back in D1 and its actually better on D2. As for monte carlo, that was also my baby for my stormcaller build when we had cross map melees lol. I doubt its going to be good on D2 unless auto rifles get buffed

By the end of D1 I really enjoyed using monte carlo in the crucible. Hopefully it’ll be at least that good.

1 ReplyPretty sure it was a 600 rpm Auto Rifle in D1, but I would like to see it turned into a 720, since it's meant for close range. And PLEASE let us use the blade on it!
