I think that the chest exploit made the menagerie more fun since it allowed for easier grinding, and I’m pretty sure most people agree with me when I say that the chest exploit at the end of the menagerie made it much more fun. I would like to see this return, and I think it, or something like it (maybe limiting it to 3) would be beneficial for the menagerie.
Edit: The comments did a great job of highlighting that there would be no way that they would keep something like this in the game. They also highlighted that the passage above was more of a butthurt rant whining about the chest patch, which is 100% true. I think that the idea to give extra chests for flawless encounters is a good idea. To add on to this idea I would say that each chest after the first one should double in the amount of runes required per slot. This would help players spend all of the runes that they have been accumulating since the patch.

So you're asking for an "exploit" in the game that should have never been there in the first place. Bungie was gracious enough to leave it alone for awhile. While your at it, ask for the prime glitch, core glitch, juju glitch etc., too. 😐

Just drop like ten chests that all require glimmer to open like the barge, re-slot Chalice in between each open. Makes use of the 300s timer. Have a chest spawn in each encounter room and you need to rush to open them, that would be fun.

Since the update i havent done 1 completion. Havent even slotted any runes. Loaded in once for tribute hall bounty, finished, then orbited. Now sitting on an endless amount of runes (because you get then from everything except patrols) with absolutely nothing to do with them. I couldnt run out of rune now if i only did menagerie for the next 6 months. But luckly i got all the armor for my warlock i wanted (no enhanced perks but whatev, i wanted heavy/special ammo finder anyway) Weapons Austringer (outaw/rampage stability MW) 2 mini tools (graverober/surrounded, stability MW) and one for pvp but because of recluse its useless Epicurean (Feeding Frenzy/Swash, range MW) Only thing id grinde for would be same austringer but with a range MW but it doesnt matter because i dont use HCs in pvp cause i suck with them, mainly use it in pve but im not trying to map enemies in pve so stability is fine for me (again i suck so range does me no good if i cant hit anyway). But now that i have what i want i have no need for menagerie and even less need for endless runes that even if i did nothing but menagerie id never be able to get rid of. My chalice is fully upgraded as well so i dont get imperials anymore. If the chest glitch was still there i might run it alot on bored days to see what fun perk combos i could find that suits my playstyle but now? Meh, no thanks

All they had to do was reduce the time afterwards really. Make it so you could only get 3 drops not 5 or 6.

They need to at least add an extra chest or two to it. One chest every 20 mins is kinda sad. That said it’s still a great activity to level up, picking what you get is HUGE

I enjoy the activity, and enjoy it even more with good friends. The chest cheese was nice while it lasted, but not the primary reason for enjoying the activity.

4 RepliesNo, its not coming back. It was an exploit that desevedly got patched. How about offering genuine solutions or feedback... oh wait thats already been given by many people. Theyve already heard the feedback of adding an extra chest per flawless encounter and a bunch of other peoples ideas so your post literally does nothing except make you look like an entitlted baby.

Edited by SaferMurderweapon: 7/16/2019 12:08:17 AMInstead of fixing it, just give us more loot per run, make RNG less annoying (duplicate anything back to back should not even be possible in any way, even mathematically), and give us more control over our loot. If we get 10 unwanted drops or so, it should at least contribute in some way towards getting the thing we want. The lack of the glitch isn't the problem. The problem is that even with the glitch, the drops are still shit. It's not fair to make us chase a carrot on a stick designed to be unobtainable except by extremely low chance rigged dice rolls. It's not like trading exists in this game.

This way there is a large amount of reward without it being too broken

A better and more official option would be to just add 2 more chests to the end of the activity.

Or just adding more run slots to the chalice, allowing you to get more rewards upon completion of the menagerie.

Uhh, it's not that difficult. They were gracious to allow it for a week or so even after they became aware of it. Just play and take your reward or go cry about it in the corner. Good luck!

Yeah, yeah, I know some don't like the truth but too bad 😄 Look at the Tribute Hall, if everyone knew the exploit most everyone would have done it. The problem with this is that Bungie has gone way overboard with the grinding in this game that more people just want certain things done and over with, handed out because they're tired of the over grind just so Bungie can get their numbers or things like trying to get rid of material that stacks. Look at some of the quest in this game that the grind was way overdone in PvE/PvP among other things like random rolls that are lacking, the RNG, Duplicates. All of this plays it's part that some are just tired of it because of the lack of loot in this game. A better option would be for Bungie to actually create a variety of random rolls, add more loot to the chest and when collecting your reward more drops from it like shards, cores, etc... making it worth the run then hoping you get that good roll because of the lack of random rolls. You guys got a taste of it being handed out and now it's back to grinding and that is actually what you're complaining about.

Just reward a chest for each flawless encounter. This will also cut down on people from going AFK.

They aren't going to bring back the exploit. If they lose some people, but have a higher average % of daily players, this looks better for attracting investors.
