Ok, seriously. What purpose does Ikora serve right now?
I can get 1 thing from her for each character once per week. (Now that all 3 are 750, there's no point to that, even). Ikora should have some sort of real usefulness. Zavala does the strike stuff plus the NF stuff, plus sells weapons, etc.
I would like to see Ikora have an inventory around something like maybe weekly rotating Adventures or Stories (of an appropriately challenging end-game level). Maybe let Zavala sell weapons and Ikora sell armor. Maybe even a piece of class-based Pinnacle Armor each season.
Maybe not either of those, but she should have some real function. Otherwise, move her bounty completion to Hawthorne and just have her decorative so we don't have to interact with her at all.

1 ReplyThe original Tower was lost under the command of Zavala and Ikora. Guardians don't seem interested in following them any longer. And with Cayde gone any rogue Guardians are long gone. It's time for the story arc for these two to end. Either bring in new leadership or devolve back to the old days when Guardians acted as Warlords.

1 ReplyIMO Bunge messed up making Tess the only vendor in this entire game they updated regularly. How things were set up in D1 even with factions didn't need to be changed, just improved. Sure, we have more vendors but just about all of them are bounty place holders with no new loot added to the loot pool, and the bounties are the same boring bounties gamers have been doing for a year. I go to the tower and wish I had the option to switch off seeing the gunsmith has gun parts to turn in. Shaxx has tokens to turn in Zavala has tokens Mainly because they are useless in this game that they are never updated like they use to be in D1. But it will be Bungie's selling point with this next DLC like Factions coming back if they do.

3 RepliesHere's the thing. She DID serve a role in all of year 1. She was where you went to replay missions, and she offered the original (Homecoming tutorial) mission armor. I knew that her armor offering would be obsolete when the first Solstice launched, then her mission offerings were taken away in favor of a Heroic Story Playlist. All NPCs that you can talk to should offer something. Amanda could offer bounties based on sparrow driving distance or roadkill. Ikora, being a Warlock, should offer ability based bounties.

I think they should go back to how it was in D1.. Ikora in D1 had warlock gear at least to offer.. Also.. what about poor amanda holiday? She has always been useless. Ships and sparrows should be gotten from her, not Tess "cash cow" Everis.. I think she should offer bounties to get different sparrows or ships, that always, ALWAYS, drop at 160.

1 ReplyMan the whole system needs rework or at least updated. None of the faction members on the planets offer any useful gear. I mean even the useless tower vendors like Amanda Holiday never seems to get anything updated. At least we get to look forward to TESS each week lmao.

A lot of characters are meaningless right now. All the planetary vendors have yet to have any updates. The factions are gone. I’d like to see Brother Vance restart the trails or have Osiris himself do it in the infinite forest. That’d be cool. So much is being wasted in favor of new content. We need a update that just focuses on revamping all the old stuff.
